“Why does I’m in this place?”

When I found out, I already woke up in my old room. The only thing that differ was there’s a big mirror there, because of my curiosity. I tried to take a look at the mirror.

I could see a small little child in the mirror. Wait, it was me, when I was kid. The kid was staring at me, afterward the kid in the mirror extended his small hand to me.

“Wait, are he want me to go there?” I tried to step in to the mirror, Surprisingly I could pass through the mirror, it felt like I was just passing through a layer made from water.

The other side of the mirror was like a dark large space room without anything except the two of us. I saw the child version of me standing right in front of me. This time he was pointing at something, it was like some kind of floating screen. I could tell that he want me to see what was inside there. I come toward the floating screen.

“Wha--?, isn’t this—my memories?” what I saw in the screen was a child sitting alone near the window in his room, the child was hugging his knees.

As he was watching the neighboring children playing hide and seek together, I could see that there’s some sort of sad lonely expression on his face. The boy eyes look like, tears can drop at any moments. He was envious of their happiness, their laugh, and their smile.

It was then when the LED light from the boy’s computer blinked. He roused himself from his position to check out the notification.

The boy smiled to himself. He knows that the only reason the other party send this message to him was because the other party took a pity to the lonely boy. But somehow the boy ended up replying the message.

The truth is he was free every day, but the boy decide to only choose those two day.

The boy closed the message and starting to check the link, he was captivated by the scenery of the game. The boy wondered himself if he can live in that kind of world.

The floating screen suddenly vanished.

“What?! Why are you showing me that?!” I somehow could feel that there’s these weird feeling that made me angry. I know that I was dreaming in a game. Isn’t I was in a game? How could I dreaming in a game.

What made him angry was not the fact that he saw his old memories, but because his old self showed him the memories. It felt like his old self was blaming himself, it not like he felt guilty or anything. He knows back then if only he had the courage to join the neighboring children that time, he wouldn’t be showing that kind of expression.

Afterward I could see that he was pointing toward another direction.

“what? What are you gonna show me this time?!” I turned my body around, from afar I could see there’re someone else in this dark space room. I couldn’t see his face clearly, so I don’t know who he was.

I tried to approach him, and yet after running a while I know there’s something odd here. No matter how long I run my way toward him, our distances didn’t seem to get any closer.

After keep running for a while I could feel that my body was getting tired, I leaned my body to the dark room’s floor. But instead of giving me a comfortable rest, the floor was drowning me. I tried to extended my hands above, hoping that there will be someone who will save me. But there’s no one there, after all this time. I was always alone.
