《sHe: THE RISE OF THE NEW BREED (BOOK 1)》Chapter 8

FROM A BARRED WINDOW in C-Block, Joe and the injured True Bob spotted Reeves and Troy — running along the blind spots to avoid detection of the watchtower guards — who from above, were busy backing the advancing Latinos up by shooting at the Blacks in A-Block. The White duo then started scaling the interior wall of the Hispanic's D-block, to reach the outer wall of F-Block — where Marlin was imprisoned.
Above the ledge, where they both ascended were the hundreds of locked-up incognizant Hispanics inmates — who were in the heat of cheering from their cell block windows, witnessing Ramirez and their fellow 'vatos' of the Texas Chicanos in gun-battle with their BGF arch-rivals...
... it was indeed a reminiscence reenactment, of the heydays of their street drug wars against the Blacks.
*
Hajja and Zinga turned to the sound of their people clamouring in the building — the rifled Blacks had stopped shooting, and all of them witnessed the cheering of stalwart Negros chanting the Preacher's name...
Doran appeared with Li Chi, Peter the monk and two others — and they were surrounded by the euphoric merriment of the hundreds. "How did you get here, Mon?" Zinga asked Li Chi who then enlightened that they had used the back access to avoid being spotted by any tower snipers.
The Black BGF leader saw delighted the Preacher and the others with him — they dropped their heavy haversacks in front of everyone's curious ubiquitous presence...
"Hajja, we brought you a lot of ammo."
The Black leader unfastened a bag and was holding up a handful of bullets — laughter followed by all the Blacks cheering with their rifles held over their heads, to the vicissitude situation of being massacred earlier.
Now, they had a better fighting chance to seize Tombscradle when they would parlay more weapons after massacring Ramirez and his armed 'pandilleros.'
Li Chi was reunited with his second-in-command, Wu Leong — and the scores of Chinese triad Intersexuals inmates. They spoke in Chinese and were with high spirits...
"Captain, it is good that you have made it back alive." Li Chi's 'rep' proclaimed.

"Wu Leong, victory favours us today — the Preacher will lead us now, and we will forever leave this hell-hole prison today."
*
The guard in the near watchtower was offhand, looking ahead at the Black's yard into her rifle scope, at the rival gangs in the shootout — while the spry Reeves and Troy were behind her, climbing the outer wall to get to F-Block. The duo landed inside the narrow compound and entered the block...
The guard-station was empty below but the two Intersexuals heard cries of clamouring frightened voices begging in Arabic on the top tier...
Then, a gunshot echo rang inside.
"Wait here Troy — I am going up to the 'Broadway' to jig..."
Reeves whispered in an undertone with his searching eyes gazing at the unknown occurrence on the first tier level. He crept nimbly and he pattered the stairs — leaving the unarmed Troy behind...
"Die you camel-cocksucker! Go straight to hell — and go fuck your 72 virgin goats!"
The female Guard Gina was slurring racial profanities while using her rifle — she was executing the locked up Middle Eastern inmates through the barred cell door. The other on-looking prisoners who were next to die were pleading for mercy from the invidious guard.
She was caught by surprise to cognize Reeves' furtive presence behind her — Gina howled in anger and turned the rifle at him — Reeves killed her with two thudding shots hitting her breasts.
He stood staring with his trembling hands that held the rifle, he felt slightly giddy and sick after his first-ever killing. The voices in alien tongues then distracted him back to his sense...
Reeves picked the guard's rifle and 2-way radio and ascended up the stairs to the third tier — leaving the lower tier, occupied by Middle Eastern Intersexuals — pleading out and bawling in Arabic to him, to be released from their cells.
Reeves reached Marlin's cell on the third floor — which was the only one occupied on that entire top tier...
Years ago, Warden Graves had received instructions that Marlin was under investigation by the FBI for the possession of stolen classified government cellphones — and so he was 'checked' from the rest of the gen pop as a protected custody prisoner.

But months later, with still no updates on his C-file status, neither from the Governor of Texas nor from Washington — had led Marlin to be the forgotten White inmate in Tombscradle — seceded alone for the past five years in his cell on F-block...
The sallow looking Marlin gazed in astonishment at his returning visitor, who stood outside his prison barred door...
"Reeves, you really came back!"
*
The lagniappe ammunitions were distributed among the Black riflemen, and their guns chambers were loaded up. Hajja addressed Doran who was beside him...
"Thank you once again, Preacher — we have a score to settle with those filthy beaners."
Doran replied back...
"Let me come, and I will fight along with you, Hajja."
"No Preacher, this is personal. Please, you must remain here at all cost — because your people will need you now even more..."
Hajja felt that he could not sacrifice the Preacher in his street grudge feud. He too believed that the providence of the heavenly angels had indeed spoken to the monk-priest in the isolation hole, to initiate this revolution that was happening now — so, Doran had a greater calling for the leadership once the denizens leave the god-forsaken prison — and destined enter the promised land that he had often preached — where the domain was inhibited by malevolence female of prerogative — who was in full control of the adhocracy in America, since the extinction of man.
So the current inmates would need the Preacher even more, in the front-line battles of tomorrow — to lead his aggroup of freedom fighters — to oppose that power-crazed dominatrix.
Hajja then edified and honoured Doran instead, in front of his Negro followers...
"The Preacher has delivered us this day of retribution, and we are going out now to crush those Latino spics — we will show them that we rule both in the streets and also here in prison!"
This brought the Blacks to roar in proud triumph. The Black BGF leader then added...
"Today is that day of recognition — and we will all come back victorious!"
More strident braying cheers came on — and the Blacks with the recouped ammunition were now prepared to counterstrike. They rushed out in multitude with battle cries — Hajja and Zinga led a pole position of hundreds of Blacks into the open yard. They charged the breakout towards B-Block, where the remaining Mexicans took refuge.
Both the Hispanics and the tower-guards opened fire — for every Intersexual who fell dead in the column of the battlefront — another fellow Black picked up his weapon — and kept charging forward and shooting.
*
Troy suppressed the release button on the control panel — and all the cell doors in F-Block reeled opened — the Arab Intersexuals come out celebrating their freedom from their cells. Reeves and Marlin were still in the top tier, looking out at the massacre of the Blacks in the yard while they advanced towards B-Block to fight Ramirez's men...
Troy ran upstairs and joined them. The three of them noticed the guards on the high vantage watchtower perch were cutting off their ground targets with ease in the big-yard. He passed Guard Gina's rifle to Troy...
Reeves insinuated...
"We have to knock off the guard from both the towers — Troy come, let's get to the roof."
"I am coming too," Marlin voiced weakly.
Reeves looked at the indisposed youth — and advised against it...
"No Marlin. You really look like shit here — you better stay with the rest below."
Reeves replied back — but, the peaked blonde boy postured with his chest out...
"I can be of some use, Reeves — let me come with you."

Luck Lockyer
Luck Lockyer was the type of man to smirk in the dark, the expression not for anyone but himself. One of perpetual amusement. The bright side of things were hard to find in the shade yet his amber eyes were always searching. The smirk was his default, he knew it, his friends knew it, his family knew it. It was his most natural state. But the death of everyone close to you can affect a downwards curve on the mouths of even the most stoic people. Without purpose, without anyone to do the job for, Luck Lockyer found himself inside an empty forgotten church. The perpetual smirk on his face had slipped to a thin line, his scar more noticeable now than ever before. His amber eyes, the windows to his soul, dull and lifeless. To anyone who knew him, it was the clothing that gave away his mental state, denim pants and a plain black t-shirt. If that wasn't enough, the tears running down his face certainly would, the echoing sobs of a broken man rang across the rundown church. It was on a whim, but Luck Lockyer prayed, he prayed for many things, for death, revenge, friends, but the one prayer dominating his thoughts, a second chance for his family. That was all he wanted. Simple. It was then, on the outskirts of a polluted city, in an abondoned lot, in a forgotten church that Luck Lockyer, the Devil of the Cards, the Bloodless Hand, the Amber Demon, the Broken, was answered by a being from another world and one from his. *found the picture online
