《sHe: THE RISE OF THE NEW BREED (BOOK 1)》Chapter 19

OUTSIDE THE CONVENT YARD, an elite-force member shot smoke-bomb that broke a window above. The vitriolic smoke fumed inside Sister Lisa Marie's room, and the Black nun spotted it. Sister Anita covered it with a cloth before opening the window, and she threw it out hurriedly.
The stroke suffering Sister Lisa Marie coughed violently. Sister Anita returned to hear her pleas for a drink — but, the water pitcher by the bedside was empty...
"Wait, Sister Lisa, I will get you some water," she left the room fast.
*
The Elite-force was about to shoot another window with a smoke-bomb from below — and a fellow member intervened. "Anna! Enough! The Commander said to stop shooting any more smokes."
Doran armed with his cudgels was hiding behind a hedge and watched them both leave. He sneaked away and started climbing up a vertical drain-pipe on the side of the building to get access to the top floors of the cloister.
Agent Wolfe and an Elite-force cop were in gas-masks, searching the smoky second-tier floor of the Convent — the cop was using her hand-held heat sensor instrument, to scan the walls...
"I don't think any of them are on this floor, Sir."
"Keep looking before we go to the next floor. None of those penguins should leave this place alive!" Wolfe reminded the Elite-soldier again.
The body count was at nineteen nuns so far.
*
At the third floor, the Black nun covered her nose with a damp cloth from the acrid, smoky hallway, and she refilled the water pitcher from a faucet.
She saw movement outside the window — baffled and she stepped back, seeing Doran hanging outside the ledge. Sister Anita inquired after opening the window...
"Doran! Why are you not with the rest?"
The scar-faced monk boy jumped in, without responding to an answer — but, he asked instead. "Sister Anita, where is Sister Lisa Marie? We have to get away from here fast — they are killing the nuns."
"Over there — in the second last room..."
She pointed, and Doran immediately left and proceeded to the nun's room. Halfway over there, he was surprised by an ibidem encounter — with an Elite-force soldier — who was also equally in bewilderment, to discover the scar-faced monk-boy inside the Convent top floor.
Doran bolted away when the soldier fired, with her silencer muffled rifle — it left many fist-sized bullet holes on the boarded walls. The monk-boy disappeared...
The Elite-cop hunted for Doran while he hid nearby. He now followed her before he jumped, and surprised her with his two wooden cudgels — the fustigate of blow after blow fell on the woman's face and helmet — before Doran finally stabbed her throat with the end of his cudgel club — a crunching sound was mildly audible — and the cop spat out blood, before dropping backwards with a thud...
The boy picked up the dead woman's service rifle — and he next looked up, to the direction of a strident yelp behind. He rushed back over to the corridor to see another Elite-force policewoman, bending to examine her kill on the floor...

A pool of blood with the face-down corpse of Sister Anita...
"No! No! No!"
Rage filled his eyes. He pointed and shot the terrified soldier at point-blank. The woman tried to shield her face — and instead, the blast blew off two of her fingers. Doran pulled the trigger again, but it was out of ammo. The soldier wrenched in pain and sprung up — she gave a roundhouse-kick that floored Doran down...
She then escaped — running scared and still holding on, to her bleeding maimed palm — leaving a blood trail along the floor. The enraged Doran still pursued the chase from behind. Dashing over, while holding the rifle like a bat...
He swung the rifle butt — and it connected, with a smashing blow into her temple, She was thrown off the upper tier, and fell three stories down — smack landing on the ground-floor, to her slow demise — with prodding fractures of a broken bone, spiking out from her blood soaking uniform.
*
Agent Wolfe and an Elite-force cop glanced beforehand at that same cop falling to her death, with a thumping sound at the ground floor. The Elite-force cop exclaimed in surprise ...
"How the hell did she fall?"
"Unless there are some activities above — let's go, and check it out!"
Wolfe responded while she removed the safety off her pistol. They both hiked up the stairs, cautiously to the third floor — and at the same time, Doran opened a door, and entered a room...
*
He checked the frail Sister Lisa Marie asleep on her bed. He knelt by her side and placed his hand compassionately on her cheek.
Doran needed to bring the nun to safety...
She meant the world to him — regarding her as the only affectionate person in his life, who really understood him — it was her love for him that had also kept him, in his right sane of mind for the past five years, since he was rescued from the dark coal cellar dungeon.
Her eyelids opened, she looked astounded back at him — she spoke with a slight slur. "Doran, what you...
"...you, should run away?"
"I came back for you, Sister Lisa — I came to get you away from here."
"No Doran — Jesus is calling me — to join him..."
*
On the top floor, Agent Wolfe and the e-SWAT soldier found another dead Elite cop with raptured tracheae, from an unarmed combat injury...
"Someone was here," Wolfe reacted and she removed the gas-mask. The other cop examined the deceased — and glanced back at Wolfe with tear swelling eyes...
"That is Jeannette — she was a close friend of mine..."
In the room, the monk-boy was arguing with the nun, who was refusing to evacuate.
"No, I will not let that happen — I will get you out of here — and I will take care of you, Sister Lisa Marie."
The old nun coughed before discoursing out. "You, run away now, Doran, I am too old to follow."

But, he was still adamant...
"No, I need you to be with me, and let's go before they come — they are killing all the sisters!"
She touched the boy's hot-tearing cheek — and she smiled at him, to cheer him up...
"My special boy — you are going to be the Pope someday, Doran — you, a great leader for our church — and I will be with you there, in the spirit..."
Doran choked, he was getting even more emotional in the confusion...
"No, you can't die, Sister Lisa — everybody I love dies — I don't want you to leave me too..."
"But Doran, you are going to be the Pope — and you have to be strong, my sweet-dear boy. Remember this — those of the living, are your flock to lead — and those who die belongs to God..."
The boy sobbed uncontrollably...
"No, I don't want to be a Pope anymore — I am not good, nor am I smart as Michael — I just want to be always with you, Sister — please, if you are not with me, then I am all alone — I don't want to be like I was once before — locked away behind the door in the dark — I am so afraid to go there again..."
He placed his head on the old nun's shoulder and sobbed aloud...
"Don't leave me alone please!"
The door crashed open...
Agent Wolfe and the Elite-cop stormed in, both were pointing their weapons at them. The anguished Elite-force cop grabbed Doran's robe by the collar, she slammed him on the wall — she rammed her rifle butt into Doran's stomach — and he fell on the ground in deep pain...
She was about to strike the rifle to smash the monk-boy in the skull — but Agent Wolfe intervened, and pushed her away...
"Enough!"
"Sir! This fucker killed Jeannette! He is now dead!"
The soldier obdurate for vengeance kept kicking and was imprecating the boy, with the verge of death threats. Wolfe shot a hole on the wall beside her head, to get her attention from her affray. The agent then derogated unwaveringly...
"Hey, listen, bitch! If that military-trained friend of yours, can't defend herself against a 12-year-old — then, she does not fucking deserve to live!"
The SWAT cop was taken aback — and Wolfe added...
"Now get the fuck out! Go wait outside the door!"
The e-SWAT cop left the room tepidly and she stood outside by the open door. Wolfe pointed her pistol at the old nun, Doran gathered to gain his strength from the beating received from an adult — and he was kneeling, leaning against the wall, the abdominal pain was atrocious...
He was in tears, poised with his palm out to Wolfe...
"Why? Why persecute us? We are just simple servants of God — and, we have not harmed anyone, to deserve this..."
Agent Wolfe responded in odious...
"If only that fucking Mother Superior of yours, had handed you, boys, to us voluntarily — then, nobody would be hurt nor be dead today. No, but, that sanctimonious bitch, wanted to complicate the mission for us — and she even threatened to reveal this op to the media — that holy-cunt just wanted you, boys, all for herself — just like those perverted male priests in the past!"
Agent Wolfe mockingly laughed, and she continued...
"This is the situation here — you boys are coming with us — and all the nuns here will have to die!"
Wolves removed the safety of her Magnum, while she heard the trembling aghast monk-boy, pleading in more sobs...
"No, please! No! No!"
"Sorry boy, this has to be done!"
Wolfe fired twice mercilessly — killing Sister Lisa Marie instantly with her signature, facial-shots execution...
The animal, raged boy pounced from the floor and blindsided Wolfe — as Doran grabbed a wooden crucifix on the side table. He swung it and clobbered Wolfe, disarming her firearm — and the next blow broke the cross...
It tore the Secret Service's left eyebrow.
The Elite-force cop outside the door responded, by training her rifle at Doran when seeing the groggy, Wolfe with her bleeding face, and also, weaponless with her back onto the wall. Wolfe upbraided at the e-cop, who was ready to fire...
She warned her...
"Stay out of this, you cunt — the Scar-face is all mine!"
Wolfe lunged in choler forward, at the equally emotionally raged Doran, who next drew out both his cudgels, from his belt to defend himself. Wolfe used her Muay-Thai martial art skills to parry off, his weakening club swings. She fought back unarmed, with kicks and punches — before her elbow finally connected his temple — it knocked the spent boy unconscious...
Doran dropped beaten on the floor, at the foot of the bed of the dead Sister Lisa Marie.
Wolfe looked down briefly at the kayoed boy, before picking up her pistol. Blood streamed on the side of the agent's face. She never anticipated a fightback, from that gutsy scrawny kid...
She had survived duties in the Middle East as a Marine soldier before — and never had sustained a bodily wound that needed stitches in all her battle engagements, but, until today. This would leave a physical bravery-scar along with her previous mental bravery-scar — of the looks on a grenade maimed Iraqi insurgent — who had a fearless devilish grin — before she shot him, in his face back then...
Wolfe discovered that similar fearless-fire, in the pluck monk's haunted eyes, with his expeditious reflexes in his attacks. The brave shemale-boy was a worthy opponent, who she might want to confront again someday — when he matured next and got stronger — and, she would then extirpate the dissenter's existence, when that day came.
