Luki froze instantly after hearing that. 'Shit! They already saw through my intention. What the hell am I supposed to do?'
"Oh, good idea. How about we start from that blondie over there!" then one of them moved so fast it left an afterimage. "Come! Luki, it's better if you go back instead. I was happy to become your friends for a short time. Your determination to make a chance for me is already a proof."
Even though Raket said those words with a smile on his face, even though he was the person who makes Luki befriend him, even though he was the one who greeted him first when Luki came to this world but Luki was not willing to leave if someone sacrifices themselves for him.
"What are you saying Ra....ket?" just as Luki said those words, he felt his heart ache. In fact, this ache was as painful when his parents were dead.
The enemy was merciless. Not only they killed Raket but also mutilated his body. Th blood that flowed from his corpse were sprayed like a fountain. But in his face, Luki could see those smiling face of his.
"Wahahaha! Look at his face, those face that filled with despair and madness. It's really my taste." the one who said this was the one who had killed Raket. Luki already had a feeling from the start that he could not win this no matter what he did!
-
In the Realm of God, the old man who Luki met was sitting on the throne. He now watched Luki's fight.
"The first obstacle of Immortal, Emotional Control. I can only watch him grow and
"Hmm, sadly my power was already dropped to the point where the Evil God started to affect my power directly. If only my power was restored, I will help him to defeat the Evil God together."

Then he sighed and looked at the world below him. "In this world, the responsibilities to maintain the stability fall to me. But even Evil God started to gather his forces from this world as well. One day, I was tasked to receive a certain person whose soul had left its body. Well, this person was in fact from those zero world without any great power to affect the natural laws."
-
But on the other side, Shiho already knew the enemy movement and combat style so she just toying with the opponent.
'Fuck! To think that she was playing with me. We really underestimated her power!' cursed the opponent. He was attacking with art but sadly in front of vice-general Shiho, all of it was futile.
"Hey, what's wrong? Are you still not done with...." the instant the person who killed Raket said this, he was thrown away because something hit him really hard.
The Leader, who was still not doing anything stared at the scene in front of her. The girl in veil release the aura which could only belong to ".....Martial Aura! Damn it, this is already too much! Guys, we retreat!"
"But Leader, one man down. This is unacceptable!" the one who was hit by something looked at what was hitting him. Surprisingly, it is one of them that just battled against Shiho. He was already lifeless as the blood flowed from his mouth.
The Leader then jumped from the gorge while the second person also wanted to do the same but he then felt something was targeting him. 'Killing intent! And a strong one at that. Is it her?'
But when he looked back, all he saw was a fist that coming toward him like a chain. And the one who did that was none other than Luki. His eyes were red and he executes the martial arts.

But he did that with the fastest speed possible, making his fist started to blur. "Come on, kill me! I'm right here you moron. Did you say you wanted to kill me? Where is your confidence back then!?"
Luki shifted his anger toward the man who killed Raket. Luki hoped in his heart that they were in a condition to kill each other so that he could leave this damned world as soon as possible.
'Is this supposed to be martial art? This is entirely different!' thought Shiho who saw it. Luki's fist was so fast because he remembered some weapon that could launch so many projectiles at a second. He tried to imitate those in this martial art, and this is the result.
'Brat, you forced me to do this!'
The person who was being forced to attack suddenly let a roar. "Let's die together! art, Hidden Dagger Strike!"
But Luki also attacked him without mercy, unending fist. " art, Gatling Fist style!"
The dagger the man threw hit precisely at Luki's chest while Luki's fist, even his left arm that already without hand were still attacking at his face. Blood started to appear from their mouth together. 'Hahaha, let's see if my immortality is a real deal!'
Luki then threw his last fist to the man so that he flew from this hill. He then felt his body hit the ground but all his senses started to gone one by one. Shiho then walked toward him with a confused feeling.
"Let me help you a bit," she said that while carried Luki's body. 'Oh, no! If this continues he will die for sure. I....'
She then remembered her past event that made her feel powerless. Shiho then heard Luki murmuring something. "I'm sorry Raket, I can't even protect you. I'm sorry mom, I only made your life harder because I'm just a burden on the family. I'm sorry father, I cannot even become a son that fulfill your expectation. I'm sorry...."
She heard it and could not help but felt something similar about both of them. "You must survive! Don't give up because life is full of mysteries."
Shiho tried to comfort Luki a little. He already lost so much blood that now it started to form a trail. Then Luki coughing up more blood. She then used her movement technique to come to the medical treatment camp faster.
When arrived, she then removed her veil and said, "Come here! Someone, please treat his injuries right now. And the other please go to the gorge, two of your comrades died there fighting with enemies."
"Vice-General, yes ma'am!"
Then the soldiers saluted and done the order she gave them. "Come, bring him over here!" the doctor who was sat near the bed ordered the soldiers to put Luki down. After that, the doctor saw the injuries Luki had sustained.
The doctor was not really sure whether he could save him or not. There's a dagger that still stuck in Luki's chest and he needed some assistance to remove it. So he called the nurse, leaving Luki alone for a second.

In the civilized world of humans, 'monsters' have all but passed into legend. But when something goes bump in the night, when people begin to disappear, when a dark mystery begins to haunt even the most peaceful villages, there is only one organization to turn to: the Hunters. The Venatori. Having lived a life of discipline and service, former soldier Caiden Voros finds something even worse than the wars of humans: the monsters that hunt them. Horrors yet unknown even to him and his many scars await in the claws, talons, fangs, and mysterious powers of creatures so far beyond humans that he must dedicate himself entirely to the art of slaying them. Harboring a secret of his own and in a constant struggle to find answers while maintaining his sanity, however, Caiden begins to ask the age-old question... Who is truly worse, the monsters or the Men? Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends is an episodic collection of stories, each of which stand on its own, but they also build upon each other in a consecutive order, bridging a gap between a novel and short story collection. These stories follow monster hunter Caiden Voros and his partner Gwen Vergil as they embark on tales of mystery, horror, and adventure to track down monsters - the living dead, beast-men, shape-shifters, spirits, and many more - that would do harm to innocent lives and, by whatever means necessary, put a stop to their terrors. Their motives, however, are not always what they seem.

Cinder Roots (Undergoing a Rewrite)
This novel is currently undergoing a major rewrite, as I noticed several plot points that needed to be revamped. I'll leave the chapters I've posted here to anyone curious to see how everything started, but I'll be posting the rewritten story as a new novel in the future. The characters will be the same, but the journey will be more understandable and hopefully, a lot more fun to read. -------- First, everything was fire, it killed, it consumed, and it gave him life. He was just a tree, born in the biggest forest that remained in the world, full of dryads, naiads, elves and treants, but he was alone. He couldn’t see. He couldn’t talk. Curiosity plagued him. He dreamed of wandering the land, but could only wonder what stood outside the reach of his roots. The tree was tired of waiting. He decided to not just dream, but to act. How could he survive against a invading empire, a grand conspiracy that threatened to shake the foundations of the world, and the raw danger that lies within these woods? With pure determination. Warning - There are quite a few POV changes in the first chapters, but that'll change after the introduction is done, as I'll be focusing on the MC perspective only.
