Peaceful was the continent of Ashka, once referred to as the Land of Prosperity. However that changed with the rise of the Aldalian Empire.

The continent was divided into five countries. Ashwell to the north, Drakohelm the south, Forgeborn the east, Liden the west, and the center of it all is Aldalia.

As peace was kept between the four kingdoms. Aldalia began to seek more power and wealth. A war was waged against the kingdom of Ashwell.

Ashwell resisted the invasion for ten years, but succumbed to the might of Aldalia.

With the fall of Ashwell, the Aldalia Empire was established. Their rule was strict, soldiers abusing their authority on the citizens of Ashwell. After three months under Aldalian rule a rebellion occurred. However the rebellion was quickly subjugated by the Aldalian army. Rumors began to spread like wildfire. Feats of the Aldalians warriors such as them having the strength of ten men, having unquenchable bloodlust, and versatility on the battlefield.

The Empire continued to expand their territory, the Nobility and Royalty became lustful for power. Thus a was was waged with Forgeborn. Leaderless and divided by a civil war, The Forgeborn was easily conquered by Aldalia. With the fall of the capital and the execution of the royalty and the Duke of Ikinawa.

Heir and sole survivor of the Ikinawa household. Akari Ikinawa rallied up the remnants of the Forgeborn army, fortified the city of Azule capital of the Ikinawa province.

The Empire soon learned of the Ikinawa Heiress. In response, an army which numbered five thousand was assembled to subjugate the Ikinawa army. Being outnumbered five to one, Akari made use of unconventional tactics such as guerilla warfare, supply sabotages, and night raids. The punitive force was slowly weakened with each attack, and was later annihilated.

Her victory at the Ikinawa province incited more to join her cause. Akari quickly turned to the offensive, and retook the neighboring province of Yael. Gaining the support of the Feudal lords, an all out war against the empire occurred. With each victory the Ikinawa army grew in numbers, so did the doubt Akari had with the feudal lords and her subordinates. Always suspecting that have infiltrated her army, she became weary and secretive. After a month of preparation, with an army of ten thousand, Akari launched a siege on the fortress of Baradul.

Unprepared and caught off guard, the Ikinawa army easily captured the fortress with minimal casualties. Akari's victory was swift like the wind, some wondered if she could see into the future.

With the reclamation of the fortress, it was fortified, a large garrison was stationed in the fort. which provided a strategic advantage against the empire. Forcing them to sign a treaty, the kingdom of Hakuroku was formed. Akari Ikinawa who possessed royal blood was crowned as it's first Queen. Under her rule the kingdom continued to grow, Handing over administration management yo the prime minister, Akari went on a journey to seek redemption for all the crimes she committed during the war.
