The School Finished and Yang Chen walked back to his home.
"The first day of high school finished and I become known in the school as a prostitute, " said Yang Chen sadly.
Suddenly his phone started to ring, Yang Chen grabbed his phone and answered the call.
"Yang Chen you bastard. How dare you help Wang Wei?! He just made me bleed! do you know what i had to pay to make him shut up?!" screamed Liu Yi.
"You deserve it, you destroyed my first day in high school. Do you know what the students think I was doing before entering the high school? they think that I was a prostitute!!!!" said Yang Chen while he was gritting his teeth.
The call turned silent for a few seconds before Yang Chen heard Liu Yi laughing for few minutes before saying
"Yang Chen I Have a mission for you".
"I refuse" said Yang Chen as he closed the phone only to hear it ring again after a few seconds.
He ignored the call but the phone didn't stop ringing.
He grabbed the phone and said "old man, I am a high school student and you are calling the wrong number".
"This mission reward is 5 million dollar " said Liu Yi.
"I am a High school student who is accidentally the Red Emperor, so you can tell me the details of this mission" said Yang Chen.
"This mission is a rescue mission, you will go and save a Girl, I will send you the details now with the girl image" said Liu Yi.
"What a time I live in when killing a tide of 10 thousand demons give you 1 million while saving a single girl earn you 5 million " said Yang Chen.
His phone started vibrating and opened it.
Yang Chen saw the image of the girl. The girl had silver hair with blue eyes, Her face was so beautiful that Yang Chen started in her face for many minutes.
He grabbed the phone and called Liu Yi.
"what do you want now?" said Liu Yi.
"I want to say that if you had sent the image before then I will do it right away without money" after saying this Yang Chen hung then he closed the phone.

Yang Chen took a step and disappeared and the weird thing that no one in the street noticed him disappearing.
Yang Chen was flying in the sky.
"the girl is called Lin Tong, she is the daughter of the CEO of Lin Corporation that created and mass produce spiritual weapons. She went to fight some demons in order to increase her combat ability but she was trapped by 4 king level demons. Lin Tong is at the 10 stage of the Grandmaster level while her guard is at the King level. The bodyguard was overwhelmed by the 4 demons and sacrificed his life to form a shield around her. The shield protected her and give her the chance to report the accident to her father.
From what her father said, The shield will last for 6 hours, it has been 5 hours since the accident" said Yang Chen.
Yang Chen increased His speed causing him to break the speed of sound.
--------------
In a desert there was a girl with a golden barrier surrounding her, Above the barrier there were 4 people flying in the sky.
Those 4 people where humanoid demons, once the demon reaches the saint level he will be able to take a human form but no matter what they try they can't transform completely into a human form. in this group of 4, there was 2 women and 2 men.
"Little girl, this troublesome barrier will shatter in any moment now, once this happens, I lizard demon will enjoy you," said one of the men who had a lizard head
"you are truly disgusting, you will not do anything because we will give her to the great lord" said one of the women.
When the lizard demon heard this his face hardened and anger started gathering in his heart.
the lizard demon attacked the barrier causing it to tremble and crack appeared in the barrier.
The girl body trembled but she held her spear and pointed the tip on her neck, She said
"I Lin Tong will rather die than be used by you vile creatures" After saying this she closed her eyes and stabbed her neck, But she didn't feel pain.

She opened her eyes and saw a man wearing a black and red cloak with a skull mask covering his face.
"Red Emperor" said Lin Tong with daze.
"Don't worry, I am here so no one will hurt you " said Yang Chen.
When Lin Tong heard this she started crying.
The 4 demons were stunned by the appearance of this man.
"Who are you? don't you know that she is the prey that the great lord wants" said the lizard demon.
Yang Chen smiled and waved his hand causing his sword to launch toward the lizard demon.
The lizard demon couldn't react as the sword cut head cleanly.
the other demons faces fell when they saw this and screamed " emperor level cultivator ".
Yang Chen looked at the west and his face becomes stern.
His sword started trembling and launched toward the other demons.
The demons were trembling in fear and tried to run.
" Great lord, help us" screamed the demons but the sword was fast. The sword cut through them and turned them into pieces.
Lin Tong was stunned from this, then her eyes started shining as she said " This is the power of the Emperor level!".
"Lin Tong, stay behind me and don't leave my side" said Yang Chen.
Lin Tong heard this and walked toward Yang Chen right away.
Suddenly she felt a massive pressure coming from the west. The pressure was so strong that she couldn't breath from it.
Yang Chen used his aura and protected Lin Tong. He looked at the west and said " Emperor level demon ".
Lin Tong face become pale after she heard this.
Yang Chen Grabbed his phone and dialled Liu Yi.
"Did you finish the mission?" said Liu Yi lazily.
"Old man you truly played me! there is an Emperor level demon that will reach me any moment " said Yang Chen.
*So what?! Yang Chen, If you used all of your power then you can kill him easily. Don't call me now, I am busy with your aunt " said Liu Yi.
Yang Chen mouth twitched when he heard this.
"The last part of your sentence is unnecessary information" said Yang Chen.
Then he put his phone back in his pocket and looked at the west and saw a black dot in the sky slowly becoming bigger.
When it reached near Yang Chen and Lin Tong it stopped, the sudden stop caused strong winds and sandstorm to form.
"Ahhhhhhhh" screamed Lin Tong as the wind dragged her.
Yang Chen put his hand around her waist and pulled her near him.
Lin Tong blushed from this and looked at Yang Chen but Yang Chen wasn't looking at her.
Yang Chen other hand grabbed the sword and his eyes shone with terrifying Light.
"How dare you?! a mere human to kill my subordinates, you are courting death" said a middle-aged man with two horns in his head.
"I should be the one to ask, Why is an Emperor level demon in this place?! do you want to die this badly?!" said Yang Chen.
"Hahaha. I, Long Yi do what I want, and I don't fear you humans " said Long Yi.
Lin Tong felt power entering her body, she looked at Yang Chen and heard him saying " I put in you some of my power. It will help you to escape from her".
Lin Tong became silent after she heard Yang Chen then nodded her head.
She used Yang Chen power and started running.
"you will not leave this place " said Long Yi as he raised his hand and attacked her but his attack was stopped by Yang Chen sword.
"from the attack and your aura I can guess that you are a demonic dragon " said Yang Chen as he slowly rose from the ground.
When Yang Chen reached the same level as Long Yi, he smiled and said " I always wanted to slay a dragon".

Sword System Academia
2/17 NOTICE: I'm putting this on hiatus, possibly permanently. I didn't want to spam with an "update chapter", so hopefully here and in the story blurb will get enough eyeballs. There are a couple reasons for ending SSA for now. 1) I wrote the next chapter but wasn't happy with it. I've been less and less satisfied with SSA's quality the more I thought about it. Part of the reason is... 2) I am seriously thinking about trying to publish some novels to help pay the bills, since I don't have my other source of income anymore. I have never asked for anything from SSA readers, no money, not even a review or rating. SSA is written for fun to amuse myself, primarily, and I would kind of feel bad actually charging someone money for something as unserious as that. I don't think it is good enough to ask anything in return. To use an analogy from music, SSA is more like a jam session with a bunch of friends. You're just chiling and having fun playing some music. I mean, if you are Mozart or even Eminem, your jam session is good enough to sell, but for an amateur beginner like myself, haha, no. If I want to publish something, I feel like I need to go the proper route of practice and rehearsals, which might be more similar to a classical concert performance. With SSA, I work from worldbuilding notes and a loose outline, but what you are essentially getting is the first draft with lots of so-called pantsing. Pushing out a web novel like this also means it is very difficult to go back and improve things without breaking everything else downstream. I wanted to try this "jamming" approach, as it was a good way to teach me about another aspect of writing, but to move forward, I think I need to hone my "classical" techniques, which emphasize rewriting, or at least, revising outlines. 3) While I intend to try to make $$$, my actual current goal is to "get gud". I've spent a lot of time recently trying to understand the self-publishing industry, and I'm pretty sure I can make some money by using short-term strategies with my current amateur skill level. But I've seen too many authors come and go/burnout, and really, the only way that I think I can enjoy writing and still make money on a long-term basis is to become a better writer. And the next step for me, which I haven't done much before, is to spend more time on rewriting and outlines. That is pretty much antithetical to the way SSA is developing. I've always been kind of 20/80 plotting/pantsing, but I want to spend a lot more time outlining before I even start writing. SSA jam sessions don't really fit my goal anymore. If you're curious about what's next, read on... Among other regrets, I regret not finishing SSA. It's the first story I've dropped, but then again, it's the first web novel I've attempted, so I suppose that's not a surprise. I don't think traditional web novel formats suit me that well. The whole SSA story I had loosely planned (beyond a first book or major arc) is way too large as well. Big story = good for neverending webnovel with Patreons, bad for penniless and fickle writer like me. I am currently outlining a complete trilogy to another story in great detail. I want the story to end concisely, and I also want the chance to really spend a lot of time on the full outline to spot pacing problems, character issues, lost themes, and so on. I'll still share this story on RR. What I intend to do is finish book 1, flash-publish the whole thing here for a few weeks, then publish on the big Zon. Repeat for books 2 and 3. The upcoming story will be about crafting heroes. The backdrop is an isekai-like setting, where elves will summon humans to their world as heroes, but the whole hero crafting business is still in its infancy. The elven mage researchers are figuring out how to imbue heroes with power, while the heroes are trying to figure out how to use the powers that they gain. Humans are the best hero templates because they are blank and have no intrinsic magic. Or at least that what the elves thought. The human MC has his own secrets... There will be some similarities with litrpgs, but I would call it more a progression fantasy or gamelit story. For example, the stats are very low, at least initially. Say we have a stat called Str. Going from Str = 1 to Str = 2 is a huge deal. Also, going from Dex = 0 to Dex = 1 is an even bigger deal. I guess you could call it a "low-stat litrpg", haha. Also, the heroes won't be gaining stats simply by killing things or leveling up. You can't increase stats arbitrarily, either. There will be rules to how stats can increase, and how they work with each other. The elven mages will be figuring out these rules in order to craft stronger and stronger heroes. Some inspiration will be from cultivation magic systems, but there won't be overt cultivation, at least for now. A theme I really want to explore is the idea of interactions. That includes things like hero crafter vs hero, tactics vs strategy, skill synergies, racial interactions (dwarves, elves, etc), and son. Yeah, so hero crafting. I'm super excited about this project and venturing into publishing. If you want to check out the upcoming story, you can follow my RR author profile to see when it drops here. Finally... THANK YOU TO EVERYONE! I'm very sorry that SSA is stopping, but I hope at least some of you will find the next story at least as enjoyable, if not more. Thanks to all the readers who gave SSA a shot. Big hug or solid fistbump to all of you, whichever you prefer! I hope this message is not a downer but an upper, because I am psyched!! -purlcray -------------- BLURB: Talen, youngest Master of the Koroi, makes his way to the Empire's capital to salvage his clan's fate. But the bustling city has few opportunities for the traditionalist. For the old sword clans are fading. With the rise of alchemy, gold can purchase strength that ordinarily took years of training to cultivate. Sword artists, once rare and accomplished, are quickly growing in number, especially among the wealthy noble class. Even with such alchemy, though, no one has advanced to the rank of Grandmaster in countless years. Talen's true dream is to walk the path of a sword artist to the very end while fulfilling his clan duties. And then the Swordgeists return, fabled founders of all sword arts, gods who had touched the world long ago and vanished. These myths turned into reality warn of a coming threat. Alongside this warning, they issue an invitation to the Sword System Academy, a path to power beyond the mortal realm. But first, they will hold an entrance exam... Story notes:Sword System Academia blends elements of western and asian fantasy such as xianxia and litrpg. I took parts from different genres I enjoyed and twisted them into my own creation. There will be an explicit system, both of the litrpg kind and the hard(ish) magic kind, but it is embedded within an academic structure that will develop over the course of the story. This is my attempt to design a unique type of system, the System Academia.

LIlith's Firstborn
The legend says that the Forbidden Fruit made the first two humans – Adam and Eve – intelligent, but what if it was the other way around? What if the Forbidden Fruit took most of their humility, their intelligence, their kindness, etc. away and turn them into the discriminating, angry, and hateful humans that they are? What if the only way to turn back into their former selves was to lead a good life on Earth to cleanse their souls? The legend also says that Lilith was a demoness who fled from Heaven and was granted mercy when she showed humility and proved that her soul was still worthy of saving despite all her wrongdoings. What if, after centuries of sinning, Lilith finally found her way back to kindness? What if God forgave Lilith for her crimes? What if she gave birth to a baby after she had repented? And what if that baby is the only human soul in existence that isn’t tainted by the Forbidden Fruit or her past sins? Tallitanya of Lilith inherited her mother’s immortality and grew up at a rate much slower than an average human so she had witnessed the rise and fall of empires even though she is physically and mentally 21 years old. She was born on Earth, but she moved to Heaven when she was physically 5 years old and didn’t return until she was 18 years old. She was tasked, by God himself, to guard over the Forbidden Tree which had since been replanted on an isolated island on Earth. She loves that job, and she loves that she was given direct instructions instead of having to figure out what God’s so-called ‘mysterious plans’ for her was. Centuries went by. Tallitanya is 21 years old when the Final Judgement is nigh. As an immortal who has yet to have a real affiliation with Heaven or Hell, Tallitanya has received a personal invitation from the Antichrist who wishes to recruit Tallitanya. Heaven also sends its angel – Michael – to inform Tallitanya that as a human, her soul would also be judged by God. She was ordered to leave her post as the Forbidden Tree’s guardian so that she could get to know the other humans before she makes an actual decision about who she wants to align herself with. The second she steps out of the island, it disappears. Turns out, her message from God was faked, and so was her mission. The devil had tricked her, and as the guardian of the Forbidden Tree, she must recover the tree and the island, or humanity will perish within the year.

Imagine Being a Rare
The world of mobile games is harsh on wallets and harsher on the characters. How do you stand out in an crowd of designs calculated to attract attention from whales? You want power and fame, powercreep alts and event appearances. Some high rarities succeed, others fail. But how do you stand out when your design is plain, your power low, and your rarity, well, Rare? You don't. In the moderately popular gacha game Commandment of Hero, some Rares have had enough. A new gameplay mode will give them a chance to rise above their rarity, they think. All they need are courage, kindness, and wisdom. They have none of those, but they do have stubbornness, selfishness, and shamelessness, which are at least as effective. If that sounds pathetic, just imagine being a Rare. Updates Monday and Friday.
