When I watched my father behead that cute peasant girl for attempting to speak with me, someone of higher status in the eyes of society. I wasn’t smiling like my brothers. Nor did I have that tired look in my eyes like father did. Or simply disinterest in the situation like mother. I wasn’t a big enough person like my sister to show eyes of shock and horror. No I for the first time in my life I got scared. It was horrific. I have in that moment come to understand that me and that girl were both simple humans. And that like humans I would at some point simply die.
-the thoughts of a child.

In city surrounded by white a man sat in front of a statue that resembled a woman holding a sword. In a manner as if she wanted to brag about her glory. But there was a problem with the statute it was on its head. Erick had spent a lot of time about this statue and this city. Inside each house and each room theirs one or two sheep. Erick thought this was a very straight forward compared to other places he had seen in his travels not that he’s lost or anything.. Erick has also noted that Erick seems to be thinking in the third person. Erick has no idea when this happened please don’t ask Erick. Hmmmm Ericks log: I’ve been lost for 7 months, days. Sorry I’m not lost. Nope definitely. But Erick wishes to emitted that Erick has see some shit in the last seven months.
An seemly endless sea of tomato guts. A forest of screaming grapes with a sine that said existence is pain room despite being a field of screaming grapes. Giant behemoths that stand seven kilometres tall wearing clown makeup and fighting each other with giant living swordfish. A pink desert and an actual land of peace and love. At one point I found a giant spider web hoping I found my sister but unfortunately not. There was also a star going supernova and I have come to the conclusion that I’m immortal now. And then there's this black door that seems to be following me like it wants something before I forget. although I don’t actually believe I cannot be killed to be honest but I’m not sure what one does when disintegration by supernova doesn’t work.

I saw the birth of a new universe and the end of one. I saw places that were so old that time seemed to have aged out of them. I walk through new realms. I saw a great war between two races of winged lizards and talking potatoes. And I’ve come to know that different places seem to have different levels of stability and madness. I also thought a bit. As I wander through this land I’ve come to ask myself. Why? Why do I care
It sounds like simple question but it really isn’t. Why do I want something to happen?
What are my motivators? And I’ve come to realise that I don’t have any of my own.
I have no purpose.
I have no reason to continue and yet I am but when I ask myself why do I wake up in the morning. I can’t tell you why. Hmmm it seems like I don’t have to think in third person anymore. That good I guess.
I wonder when did it all get so… dull.
I now stand in front a city of sheep. In a literal sense. Actually their kind of cute. To be honest this is probably the best place I’ve been to so far any yet it all feels so wrong here. Their not alive they all just repeating the same thing again and again. Hmmm if I was to bark could I heard them no I’ve decided to search elsewhere. Still I hope it not a bad place. I still smell of tomato. Maybe I finally get to open that door. It seemed like a nice door well for a door at least. Ah I’ve become a door racist without realising. Well time to leave this place. I wonder what I’ll see next.
It not that bad traveling. I didn’t leave my mountain much unless I had a place to go or Icarus told me to go do something but even then it was more like go do this then come straight back. But just letting the sword guide me really I think I understand that a bit more now.

Erick reaches towards his back and unsheathes a pure black two handed longsword. Despite its obvious two handed nature he grasps it with one hand. Then he places the sword tip on the ground and simply lets go of the blade. It falls to the ground pointing in what Erick has noted as the same direction as the last couple of times he done this but also points out that he doesn’t really know if that’s true or just part of his imagination. Erick takes 36 steps or 36 kilometres before he arrives at some place new and it’s already unrecognisable compared to the sheep city. He’s standing on a cliff facing a big temple of some king. It is with windows of doors other then one. It’s the black door that keeps appearing before him.
It funny this feels so familiar. This door I can’t open. I make my way forward to inspect the door and door frame. It’s a masterpiece of blacks and grays and shifting together then falling apart. The door itself looks less like a door and more like a larger number of small 5cm by 5cm gears. But it’s has a door handle and a lock. Unlike the temple that doesn’t look like it’s been they for a day the door itself is covered in scratches and cuts. It look like it’s weather the test of time. Honestly it looks more broken then fixed. But it simply does not open. There are no visible marking on their door near the lock as if whatever struck the door was scared to damage that part or where simply unable to. But still I feel that bad things will happen if I don’t open it. I raise my sword and I strike the door. And of course I barely leave a scratch no larger than the others on the door. As I go to inspect the lock I hear a voice from behind. It simply said.
“once more you have come to fail”

Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.

From the Ashes
Kadin Banto is a member of the Aspire guild, the best guild in the kingdom of Kahlona. His current contract starts out as a simple missing child case but quickly escalates in to a in depth plot to bring back the demon lords of old, and a Necromancers desire to cover all the lands in flame. This story follows Kadin as he moves forwards to fulfil his contract and eliminate the Necromancer. A battle against time to stop the Necromancer from reaching the plains of ash and opening a portal to bring back the demon lords and the horde is a secondary objective - the Aspire guild will always complete the contract and Kadin will not be the exception. This is the first chapter of my book, I am interested in feedback and thoughts I have complete the first 10 chapters and am still working to complete this - if it is liked and enjoyed I will post the chapters as I finish them. The world itself is a High Fantasy world with all sort of magical creatures, including Elfs, Orcs, Vampires, Demons, giant spiders, enchanted weapons, magical runes, and wizardry - almost every one in this world can use magic - but only a few specialise in it.
