Deep breath in. Deep breath out. Ok what do you do when your lost again. Not that I’m lost or anything ha ha ha of course not. I’m great with directions ha ha ha. Well I can’t do maps. Icarus dose maps not me. Now that I think about it Icarus did the people aswell. Icarus told me what to say to the people we meet and it turned out generally alright. Thinking back Icarus never really had anything good to say and people often gave me strange looks when I informed then what Icarus wanted to say. Actually what Icarus wanted me to say was often very different from what Icarus mentally thought.
Still I’m sure I’ve been lost before what did I do then. Hmmmm when one gets lost they need to ahhh do the thing so the sun rises in the east… wait what is the time? I mean has the sun moved since I got here. No my sister said drawn so I should presume I’m wrong and conclude that the sun will set in a couple of hours. I came in a straight line to get here and the sun is directly overhead right now so I can’t just follow the sun and see where it takes me. Wait I jumped to here right so don’t I just need to jump back to where I was before. Hmmm what will sister say if I return without fish and say I got lost. I could make some excuse that I got turned around because no matter what happens I’m sure I’ll be sent out to get more fish.
Then we return to the question at hand. What does one do when they are lost. Hmmm
I place the tip of my sword on the biggest rock within sight. Then I point the handle up in the air and let go. I quickly pull my hand away as I watch the sword fall to the right. I nod my head and begun to walk to the right after picking up my sword. It will be seven hours before I consider the possibility that wasn’t my best idear.
**********
After passing over the seventh mountain I’m force to stop because before me is a vast waterfall. I smile to myself “he he he. I always knew I Erick River was smart but damm sometimes I amaze even myself. To be completely honest I might have had some doubts about letting the hole ‘sword fall thing’ guide the way thing but look. Waterfall. And if there's a waterfall then my great deduction skills tell me there's water and where’s there's water there’s fish. Ha I may have taken longer than I expected about two days it doesn’t matter the sun's still up. So yeah... actually what’s up with that I mean the suns now on the horizon but it’s honestly been two day right so yeah. I wonder if this was all part of my sister plan but I like to think that not getting lost like I did though her off hahahahaha”

“ well time to fish”
I rub my hand together in anticipation.
I approach wondering to myself how will I cook the fish I have completely forgotten that I was supposed to bring the fish back not that it matters with how long I’ve been so that would probably be the last of my worries. I’m about five meters away from the waters edge when I spot a ripple. Probably because my 3000 years of experience isn’t just for show my instincts spoke of danger and I raise my sword to face the until it horizontal facing the right I grasped it tighter with that hand in time to deflect a fish. Small not even a meter long shoots out of the water where I side step a behead the fish not onec do my eyes turn away from the water so it’s clear as day that the new octopus like tentacles rising out of the water in front of me are the culprit it point my sword at the water where I assume the creatures main body to be as it watch the tentacle rise, 1 meter, then 2 then 5 then 10 but that’s not the important thing the tip of each is aimed directly at my heart that tell me this thing has both sight and knowledge that the heart is a weak spot or I some assume this thing has fought humans or human like things before another the tentacles about 37 of then are covered in a almost see through sheath blue energy that's called auror something that was used my swordsmen and other martial artist wine include to add an edge to their sword or technique. It sharpens the blow and would allow even a wider sword to cut steal in the hand of a professional it’s a weapon of mass destruction but compared to mine it’s weak. My sword is quickly covered in a black smoke well it more of a fog like substance that pours up into the sky. It also seems to grow like grass near my feat and surrounds me by seven nesters. Although all aura comes from the same place and is in a sense life force like magic it has unlimited uses if one know how to use it. However unlike magic all people only get one aura and each gives a unique property to an attack take mine for example it dark black and has a smoke quality but it also allowed for some interesting uses.
The creatures first five tentacles rush towards me and I ‘skip’ or teleport to the right about ten meters crossing over the three meter wide river and straight away swing my sword the smoke follows my swing lashing out and disconnecting from the blade before flying the ten meters to sever the five tentacles. I take note of the sight of the tentacles hitting the floor results in a burst of ice but before I can think I once more side step a tentacle noting that many seem to follow. Bring my sword down the sword tip leaves a line of black that remains for a second but other then that it’s a clean cut and the tentacle is severed but it still swings at me so I use my ability and a skip the next strikes to watch the tentacle dissection as it’s cut horizontally in three layers but instead of cutting more next to me I serve three tentacles that are emerge from the water. The two attracting tentacles and the one that I just severed goes lime. The one next two me is incase in ice due to its own aura.

The rest of the tentacles pull back one guarding the base of an attack. Each tentacle lines up a strike then they move with the speed to break sound creating a sonic boom that could be considered a weapon in their own right that flattens the surrounding tree but to me it kind of slow each attack is a chance for me to both sever a few tentacles and to take a step forward but the time I make five meters forward I stand at the water's edge. All the tentacles have been severed but due to the aura the waters frozen over and the original thick jungle in now a clearing. Looking at the ice I can see a thick shadow of teeth and eyes all stearin up at me through some aura strengthened ice. The thing about aura is that not all aura are used to improve attacks most are actually defensive or have a strange ability few are like mine. And I can tell that the ice was not an attack but a defensive measurement. It’s a shame. Really if anyone else at my leaves of strength was here they might actually be unable to pass through this point but unfortunately it was me here.
I raise my sword and pierce through the ice straight into the beast we’re a black mist seeps out from under the ice.See my aura special. Is special enough to catch the eyes of a former death god. In all of time my sister said she’s never fought someone with an aura like mine. See weather it be magic or life force or even void my aura will simply as my sister said minus it.
I remove an equal amount to the amount I put in.
But I can also plus it. The aura will be strengthened to the amount I put in this is what makes my aura so scary. It means I can strengthen my own aura to insane levels so long as I have the stamina to do so. When my sister discovers my aura her only response to me was
“that’s fucking broken”
This goes for all things made by magic or life force or void. It doesn’t affect flesh but to magicians spells it the most lethal poison. Once a spell comes in contact with my aura it becomes absolutely useless. And to a swordsman’ aura or domain or even high level techniques that require lifeforce or mana or void energy they are simply remove from being a threat once they come into contact with my aura. Of course at level one or without me strengthening my aura it only weakens the aura of someone and had no effect on a domain. At level two or with me strengthening it was greatly weaken all auras unless the individual dwarfs me I power it where if I used my entire stamina they wouldn’t notice. Level the or ‘ and hers were things break’ it becomes double the strength of level two at three times the cost. Yes
Let’s say that at level one it has the strength of 1 and costs one to maintain at level two it has a strength of two and costs two to maintain.
but at level three it costs 3 to maintain with a strength of 4 . And level for to maintain it has a cost of 4 but a strength of eight. And at level five it costs 5 to maintain but has a strength of 16. It's very broken at the higher levels. Well to a complex magic spell unless their a master of their craft most spells will simply be cut in half. This actually earn me the nickname magekiller when I was younger.
Of course it also has another effect with is simply add it the auras of other it doesn’t come in handy very often so I try to make use of this whenever possible but this isn’t one of those times. The black fog has now spread across the ice and the sword has piece thought. Another use of my aura is that no one but me seems to be able to see through it.
The ice begins to crack just less the a second after my sword pierced through the ice. I hear a scream of my different crus some human as I watch the creature struggle but it’s is being held in place by my sword. Suddenly the ice gives way and I fall through stabbing my sword through it head while being careful to avoid the many teeth that poke out it’s side. And the thoughts running through my head at this point in time is does this count as fish?.
