Shuu's POV:
I gripped the iron tree and activated my skill [Crush]
[Iron Tree] takes 12 damage, [Iron Tree] takes 10 damage, and other damage numbers flew up for the duration of [Crush] and it finally crumbled into drop materials.
You have picked up the following materials
Iron Log x 2
Metal Shards x4
Iron branch
Bark x10
You have gained enough materials to craft the following tools:
Iron Hatchet
Iron Pick
Iron Hoe
Iron Saw
Iron Hammer
All items listed will have combat penalty of [-50% Damage] [+25% corrosion rate]
I smiled at the *extra* text after the Items, but I discarded the notice and chose to craft the [Iron Hatchet]
Crafting Failed. Materials Consumed: Metal Shard, Iron Branch, Bark x4
Time to hug more trees, I thought to myself and after an hour of gathering and failed crafting I finally produced my first tool
Iron HatchetType:ToolDurability:23 / 35Quality:CrudeAn item created by the [Iron Puppets]. They are mainly used for gathering and are bad in combat, making them break easily.
I laughed at the flavored text and took a couple of swings with it. I put all the failed attempts into a separate window that converted objects into Evolution Points.
I looked at my Evolution Tab to see how much the [Weapon Creation] skill cost and saw it was 200 points. Looking back at the points I got about 24 points for 20 failed attempts so I guessed quality matters. I had to many logs in my inventory with my current strength value made me unable to move. Deciding to convert some for points, I decided to gather materials to create the other tools.
On a small break I went into an Species tab, I saw various options that were lit up.
[Duplicate]: Copy the current [Beast] in the exact same conditions [Points required: 100]
[Revert] Go back to a prior evolution line, 50% of your items will be lost as well has skills going back by 1-2 stages. [Points required: 500]
[Spawn] Spawn a creature of your species [50]
[Birth] Spawn the lowest tier creature of your species [Points required: 50]
[Enhance] Improve parts of your species by blessing or genetic code [Points required 1000]
[Evolve] Rank Up your species to the next level, if you have a new rank up then other members of your species can auto/manual evolve into the new rank up when the prerequisites are met [Points required: 10,000]
If I had them, my jaws would have dropped to the ground. 10,000 points to Evolve my species to the next level, and an individual had to gather that. Considering the 120 points I got from the failed crafts and the logs, the number was astronomically high. I sighed as the other options were not as good. 1,000 points to enhance.
I shook my head and then chose to spawn twice, making two more puppets to appear in front of me. They did not have their 100 points distributed yet, so I chose for both of them to have the [Crush] Ability, but I left one with their 75 Points remaining, and the other with the ability [Iron Casing]
Back on the Species tab, some new option was lit up.
[Auto-Distribute Points] All newly spawned [Iron Puppets] will now choose to either get the [Iron Casing] or the [Tool Creation] skill. The chance that the puppet will keep their points is also high. (Current Status: Disabled)
[Lock Abilities] From now on, all [Iron Puppets] are required to get the ability [Crush] (Current Status: Disabled)
I enabled both of them and gave both of the puppets [Iron Hatchets] and the three of us went to gather more materials. A couple more hours later and my skills for [Crush] and [Tool Creation] leveled up a couple of times. I have finally gathered 200 points.

Opening my Evolution Tab, I looked at my skills and looked over the details of the skill I wanted
[Weapon Creation] The ability to create weapons by crafting, Weapons made will not suffer from combat penalties, and will have raised stats the further this is mastered. [Points Required: 200]
I didn't hesitate to exchange for the skill, and after a couple of attempts, finally made my first weapon
Iron SpearType:WeaponDurability:18 / 35Quality:CrudeAttack:5A spear made by an [Iron Puppet]. They are dull but enough to deal quite a bit of damage. They break easily when constantly used in a short period of time.
I made a couple of more and handed them out to the other two puppets.
The puppet with the saved points, I got the skill [Detachable Joints],and [Tool Creation] leaving it with 37 points remaining, On the other hand, the second puppet got the skills [Tool Creation] and [Unrelentless] as well as the upgraded version of [Iron Casing], which was [Armor Cocoon] which surrounded the puppet in an impenetrable cocoon, but sacrificed movement and remaining evolution points at 13.
In the [Lock Abilites], I enabled the option that [Tool Creation] and [Weapon Creation] were a must
I used the 40 points to spawn another [Iron Puppets] and his points distributed themselves to [Crush] and [Tool Creation]
On the way to gather more materials, a growling was heard and a pack of wolves surrounded the four of us.
Wither WolvesLEvel2Health:105 / 105Stats:Attack: ??? Defense: ???[td2] Faction[/tds][tb2]Beasts of the Wild[/tds]The origins of the Wither wolves belong to the Drain Wolves. They are fearsome foes that drain the life out of surrounding items. They are renowned for prolonging fights to cripple their prey before moving in high speeds to deal a finishing blow.[td2] Skills know[/tds][td2]Decay Aura, Drain Fang, Ballistic Charge[/tds]
There was a pack of 6 surrounding us. Puppet #2 charged forward and aggro the pack onto him, and activated the skill [Armor Cocoon]. the rest of us took this opportunity to attack. At first it seemed to be going well, but as time went on, I could feel my spear getting heavier. Together we finished the second wolf, before the [Armor Coccoon] went down. instantly taking multiple hits for the 4 remaining wolves, despite our high defense and health, almost instantly killed him.
I despaired at the sight of losing him. I had puppet #1 use [Unrelentless] to bash in another wolf wild Puppet #3 and I took care of another one.
At that moment, Puppet #3 fell to the ground, it's legs corroded and splintered. Another Wilther wolf took one of my arms and ripped it off. Puppet #1 lost his spear, and [Unrelentless] wore off, and took a nasty blow to the torso.
Looking at the grim situation, I took my spear and impaled one of the wolves that jumped toward me. Puppet #3 fell to the other wolf and Puppet #! took this time to initiate [Crush] to finish off the last wolf.
What a loss, 100 points down the drain. but the 2 level 1 wolves I killed had leveled my character up to level 2 with 54% to the next level. Splitting the two wolves between the two of us, I set him on auto after getting a couple more [Iron Puppets] and log out, saving the points for next time I log in.

How the Stars Turned Red
Announcement as of 05 July 2022: I've been diagnosed with some pretty severe nerve damage in my left arm, rendering me unable to write effectively, and as such this story is on hold until it is healed. I am so sorry, and I promise to get back to writing as soon as possible. In the latter half of the 3rd millennium CE, humanity has spread across the stars, inhabiting close to five-hundred worlds across the Orion Arm. Earth has become irrelevant, a historical has-been. The galactic map is dominated by two mega-factions, both controlling vast amounts of territories either through direct control or through their many allies and treaty signatories. The Kingdom of Aurora is the political and economic hegemon despite consisting of only seven inhabited worlds; their strength lies in the Royal Union, an interstellar commonwealth composing an internal market and a common defence pact. These member worlds are myriad and varied, culturally as well as politically, but they all flock to the same banner. The Independent Systems Alliance, spearheaded by the Republic of Elysium, is the ascendant challenger to Aurora and the Union. A pseudo-federal multi-system polity, the Alliance economy and military is rapidly expanding, but at the cost of effective democratic and meritocratic involvement by its people. However, with two superpowers as this, chafing along a common border, and with a constant clamour of polemics, both sides have become convinced the other is constantly preparing for war and are on the look-out for any perceived weakness in their opponent. The predictable result is a huge arms race and a cold war spreading across the stars, requiring only a spark to set the galaxy aflame. Drawn into this game of high stakes are ordinary men and women, their peaceful lives, hopes, and aspirations swallowed by the vortex of conflict and distrust. This is their story. Cover art by Rhodex Designs (FB). Hope you like long chapters and adjectives. Note: English is not my first language. Another story set in the same universe, written by a good friend

Slaying Monsters for Dummies
East coast, late 2018. A handful of people with nothing in common find themselves targeted by kidnappers. It sounds like a job for the FBI, except that the criminals are not quite human anymore, and the victims find themselves wielding strange abilities. How exactly are you supposed to explain that to the cops? You don't. You survive, fight and strive, and most importantly you prepare, for magic is coming back and there is a world to save. And a market to corner. Image by Bella Bergolts. https://www.deviantart.com/bellabergolts The story is told from the perspective of the two protagonists. I have finished writing two arcs and will upload them quickly, the upload rate will slow down after that. I welcome corrections and constructive criticism, in particular when it comes to inconsistencies.

(un)Lucky
After dying on his hospital bed, Jack is surprised to once again regain consciousness. Turns out he’s in purgatory where he learns that God has been pretty into gaming lately… you already know where this is going, don’t you? Yeah, yeah, I know, another LitRPG story like many others. SO original… But why then do we keep reading them and looking for more? The answer, for me at least, is because they’re usually just plain fun. That’s all I hope my story can be: fun. No fixed releases for now, nor any future plans. I’m just trying to enjoy my time writing it. Btw, the cover is something random I did and has absolutely nothing to do with anything. Don’t ask me why.
