After the white light shined in front of me, I opened my eyes to find myself in a small village. Surrounded by a wall, the two entrances faced the East and West directions. To the East lies the plains, and the route to the Capital of the Kingdom of the Middle Plains. while the West has the entrance to the [Forest of Metal Trees] Dungeon.
"You are a novice, would you like to proceed through the Tutorial?" the Female Computer voice spoke.
"I have no time for that, give me directions to the nearest training facility, I want to learn to be a berserker" I laughed.
"Rerouting destination to Beginners Training Hall, Follow the waypoint" the computer voice instructed and I took off at a run, passing by many people who also just started. "He seems like he knows what hes doing, lets follow him" a random bystander said and very soon, a crowd of people started to follow me.
"Just great , a bunch of noobies are after my hide, what a sorry bunch" I said, my face twitching.
I decided to lead them astray, and run all over town, just running. "Ha ha ah, that will show em" I sneered, a sinister grin on my face. I secretly mentally applauded myself for a job well done.
Congratulations, For constantly running have the option of choosing between the two skills: [Haste] Increase Movement speed by 20% for 5 seconds. or [Berserk Rush] Sacrificing Defense for 4 seconds, you will rush to a target, bulldozing all in your way and deal damage based on Movement Speed, and Attack Damage.
My eyes light up with glee. "Command: Choose Skill: [Berserk Rush]. Alright, Skilled learned, let us teach those noobies for following me"
I dashed out of where I had stopped and rushed toward the crowd of people who had been following me. "Alright [Berserk Rush] "

To tell you the least it didn't end well. Walking out of Adventures Guild after having to apologize to everyone who died, "Don't worry they will respawn in 24 hours" I laughed to the guards that were holding me against the ground. I sighed as my gold pouch now laid empty for "Disrupting the Peace" I pulled out the Manual and started to look at the skills and minimum requirements to be a Berserker.
"Hmm, says here I have to accumulate Rage, and learn the skill Rage Mode. Simple steps" I laughed with confidence. "Ha ha ah, time to accumulate rage..... those bastards never told me how to accumulate rage" I wandered around, thinking about how to accumulate rage.
Various methods were applied: Round 1: Thinking about Rage and trying to "Accumulate" it.
End Result: Looking stupid.
Round 2: Punching stuff, because that works
End Result: More fees and fines to pay, plus stat increase.
Round 3-100: Various methods
End Result: Various Failures.
"ARRGGG, LET ME BUILD RAGE" I screamed and I picked up someone and threw them into the store across the street.

"YES, I FINALLY DONE IT" I jumped for joy, and a bunch of people surrounded me.
"Are you the one who threw our guildmaster across the street?" An elvish archer glared at me.
"If I said that I did, what will you do" I brazenly replied.
"If so, then your coming with us" The elvish archer said and two knight class Orcs, grabbed me and started to take me somewhere.
"Alright, All or nothing [Berserk Rush] and I took off, Laughing my head off.

After looking at the my stats, I can distribute my Skill Points since I have no money left to actually get any skills.
Looking over the skills I have I got
[Berserk Rush] (Beginners: 12.2%/100%) Sacrificing Defense for 4 seconds, you will rush to a target, bulldozing all in your path and deal damage based on Movement Speed and Attack Damage.
[Sword Handling] (Passive) (Beginners: 5.6%/100%)The more you use a sword, the better you are at using it, and the more damage you deal with it
[Rage] (Passive) (Beginner 9.0%/100%) Rage is used to empower or execute attacks, Rage can give a Damage Buff, as well as a Defense Buff, which scales with the Rage Meter. Rage will be gained by: Attacking, Taking damage, or Exhaustion and the will to push on.
I like my start, now lets go to this dungeon to get some gold for my class change. With a roar, I charge into the forest, swinging my sword to attack any [Beasts] that I encounter. Advertisement Previous

Fair warning to readers, it is a slow start. But hopefully it is enjoyable for you to read. Follow the story of an old chef who was lucky to be selected to become a system host. Well maybe not so lucky, because gaining the system killed him. He will be given a system that might not be the best match for him. While also having to deal with a snarky system monitor who might not be that helpful most of the time. He will also use his new found powers to enjoy life in a new younger body. What you can expect from this story is bad writing, poor grammar, and slow pacing maybe. Food, cooking, comedy, slice of life, fighting, exploring, tournaments, scamming and probably face slapping. I mean who doesn’t like a good face slapping? This is my take on a cultivation story, a lot of Eastern stuff will be crammed into with a mix of Western. This story started as a goal for myself to write 60,000 words in a month for NaNoWriMo. I was able to do it even with taking days off and not writing. I plan to keep writing the story, but at a slightly slower pace. I am aiming for 2-3 chapters a week now with about 4-7k words written. This is only posted on RoyalRoad currently, and I have no plans to change that for now. And from then on ‘the genie is out of the bottle and won’t get back in’, to use her words: Adaman meets more people, and gradually he has no choice but to accept that the reality of The City is not what he always thought it was, and to face the darkness of a fading humanity on the brink of self-inflicted extinction.Is there any hope left for him, and for his species? I have selected 'sexual content' and 'traumatising content' to be on the safe side, because there is a stripclub-like venue in the background of the story, and an almost-extinct humanity that has institutionalised suicide which might be disturbing to some. Apart from that it's not really a heavy 'adult' story.('Ghostified City' is my first long story in English as opposed to my native language Dutch, and an earlier version was published on my fiction blog 'Oranderra' until I stopped updating. This is a slightly altered version of the first series.)
