《The Clan Head System》Chapter 17: A Weird Reunion.

Excluding genius Espers with fierce abilities like Tigerclaw, it was hard to find an Esper class holder that was a main attacking fighter. Most of them focused on support in their early stages due to their low energy rank.
Unlike other classes, Esper class holders depend more on their energy. Unless they cross the grade E superhuman boundary, it was hard for them to fight to their full potential.
That was what exactly was happening in the chaotic hall as the Esper class holders got relegated to support positions.
Under the smooth leadership of Lionel and the mechanics, they slowly started getting the upper hand. Despite this, they were still tense as they knew that only a portion of the guards of the dungeon was in this hall.
Due to the noise and commotion, they were sure that reinforcement was already coming for the guards.
They were currently in a race against time. According to Morales, if they could get to the cages in the dungeon where the slaved prisoners were held, they could potentially get strong reinforcements from them.
Now, their only goal was to get to the cages first, free the slaves before mounting a cohesive offensive against the guards.
Lionel could already feel his blood burning hot as adrenaline surged through his body without restraints. Through the support of the Espers, he led his troop of mechanics as they penetrated through the enemy ranks.
After creating the perfect battlefield for them, the Pugilists among them were already at the forefront of the battlefield.
Their buff muscles were so eye-catching following every swing of their arms. Most of them already lost their weapons, their legs and arms were their most reliable weapons.
Any unlucky enemy that faced them head-on could only curse their luck as the immense strength being released flattened them completely.
The Esper class holders acted as the damage resistors of the battlefield, the visual effects of their abilities kept flashing as they used various means to offset the damage that was directed at their comrades.
The escapees that didn’t have main classes followed behind as they shot randomly with the guns that Lionel crafted for them.
Though the overall offensive from the escapees was overwhelming in the large hall, the defenders were still tenaciously holding on. If nothing new was introduced, they were not breaking through the defensive line anytime soon.
Seeing the situation on the battlefield, Lionel started feeling anxious for the first time. He started missing Bigfoot’s presence though he would never admit it if the big guy was here.
If Bigfoot was here, there was no doubt that them breaking through this sturdy defense would be far easier.
That guy was not only strong and hefty, his speed was also completely outrageous. If he was here, Lionel was confident that he would have already infiltrated the compartment where the cages were held.

As his eyes kept shifting across the battlefield while he gave orders, he finally found a hole emerge in the enemy’s formation.
One of the Esper class holders among them erupted with energy as a golden wave swept at the guards in the 11 o’clock direction, disrupting them as some even coughed out blood with pale faces.
The Esper quickly fell down weakly, it was evident that he already used up his energy and lost the ability to fight.
Before the enemies could retaliate against him, an agility-focused Esper rushed to his side and yanked him to safety. This move heralded the first breakthrough point as 40% of the Pugilists swarmed at this open point.
“Shaw, open a 5-man pathway for me”. Leonel quickly reacted and yelled at seeing this.
The Pugilist called Shaw acknowledged the order as his fists left blurs, impacting all his opponents with shocking impact force. His fellow Pugilists quickly surrounded him as they tried to carve out a pathway.
The guards tried to resist hard, but forming the pathway through was already inevitable.
Lionel successfully crossed the formation of defenders with 5 mechanics in tow as they bolted directly in the direction of the small door at the left side.
Bullet cartridges kept being wasted by them, forming a perimeter of death as they badged away tyrannically with hails of bullets shooting out of their gun muzzles.
The guards who protected the gate there could do nothing; they were quickly reduced to blood puddles. Leonel went to work immediately; he unlocked the reinforced gate 40 seconds later.
They all immediately rushed into the grey metal walled corridor after this. This was when they finally laid eyes on the cages, they could see the slaves that were locked inside holding anxiously to the rails of their cages.
It was apparent that they were anxious from the noise being made by the ongoing battle.
Seeing this, Lionel heaved a sigh of relief. Though he was more inclined to believe Morales, the faint inkling that he deceived them was always at the back of his mind, bugging him.
Phase 1 of the plan which was locating the slaves was finally completed. Now, they were in Phase 2 which was to release the slaves and enlighten them of their situation.
“Start unlocking the cages immediately. If you encounter any stubborn and complicated cage, inform me immediately, I’ll be there”. He quickly instructed.
“Yes, leader”. The mechanics went to work without any hesitation.
As they went to work, he stood still and brought out a device. It was a sound-amplifying device, Morales insisted that he brought this as it was required for the mission.
He cleared his throat before speaking.
“Fellow citizens of Beiger, my name is Lionel, I was a slave just like you. All I want you to know is that we came here to save you, now we need your strength to break out…”

He was originally afraid that the slaves would not believe him, but their receptiveness to his information greatly surprised him.
It seems that after staying locked up for so long, these guys were ready to embrace any chance of escape. It did not take long; all the slaves were released from their cages after 5 minutes.
They finally had their reinforcement, despite this, his face was still grim as he was sure that the guards of the dungeon already converged in the large hall. A great battle awaited them.
“Ok, let’s move. Let’s teach these slave exploiters what revenge is, for our freedom!” He raised his clenched fist.
“For our freedom!”
As he led the slaves out to fight for their survival, he was surprised to see one of them coming out to meet him.
He became guarded immediately as he still could not trust these guys completely, but he was stunned the next second on seeing the face that greeted him.
“Brother! You were locked here?” He was stunned.
“No wonder, you were the powerhouse that Morales told me about”.
His face brightened upon seeing his brother, but he knew what was paramount. “Let’s show these dungeon guards who is boss, then we’ll have a proper reunion. What do you think?”
“I think that’s ok”. The green-haired man smiled.
…
Back in the raging battlefield, as soon as Morales led his elite team to bypass the defensive perimeter of the dungeon guards, they immediately opened the big metal door and went inside.
Following the formation that they agreed on, he stood at the front with Bigfoot. They were both the main attackers of this elite raid team; the combination could only be described as tyrannical.
Behind them were Nightwing and Hero. As the fighters holding paper classes, they stood in the middle of the formation to receive protection.
Standing at the very back of the formation was Tigerclaw. He was the one watching their backs. With his flexibility and ability, he could adapt to any situation swiftly.
2 minutes ago, after they entered the wide passage behind the big door, they already fought and killed dozens of elite guards that were manning here.
Though the opponents that they found here were the elites, their team combination was far more tyrannical. In fact, the combination of Morales and Bigfoot alone could steamroll all the elite guards.
Their trip across the passage was smooth sailing, they even already invaded 2 side compartments that were supposed to be the resting rooms of dungeon protectors.
Despite their success, the problem was that they could not find a single dungeon protector yet which was weird.
Morales was already having a bad feeling about the situation, but he continued forward as he didn’t want to return empty. His curiosity was already at a burning level, he knew that going back was no longer an option for him.
They raided 2 other dungeon-side compartments in the next 5 minutes, killing 25 guards and 8 elite guards in the process. Their efficiency could only be described as frightening.
Despite raiding 2 other side compartments already, they still could not meet any dungeon protector which verified the notion that something was wrong.
“Are you sure about this, leader?” Nightwing asked in a worried tone. According to Morales, they were finally before the door that led to the compartment of the head dungeon protector.
“If you are uncertain, you can go back now, I won’t hate you. For me I can’t go back, I told you all that this is important to me”. He answered in a grave tone.
“Hmm…, no need, I’ll help you till the end”.
“Good, blast the door open…”
Boom!!
He did not even finish before Bigfoot already rushed forward and punched at the reinforced door hard.
Metallic ringing sounds reverberated as the door creaked and caved in slightly before shooting off with a loud bang sound. Bigfoot smiled contentedly, then turned to give his companions a smug look.
“Well, that works too”.
They quickly rushed into the room completely prepared to meet a well-organized ambush, but what greeted them was completely out of their expectations.
At the middle of the room stood a very large luxurious chair that looked like that of a king. It was laden all over with red sparkling gems, making it very conspicuous in the room.
Seated on this chair was a gorgeous red-haired woman, she sat calmly like she was awaiting their arrival.
Standing at her front were 4 individuals, 2 women, and 2 men. They all had angry expressions on their faces as they glared at the intruders.
Without a doubt, these were the dungeon protectors and the red-haired woman was the head dungeon protector.
“Shasha, the mad witch”. This thought flashed through Morales’s head immediately on seeing the woman.
The red-haired woman who sat on the luxurious chair leaned forward on noticing their arrival. She had a look of interest on her face as she surveyed them with her x-ray penetrating eyes.
“Little Mo Mo, can’t you greet your Aunty Shasha?”
Morales’s expression darkened immediately.
