After being hired by a guild to raid a notorious slave caravan along with some members of the said guild, Laruse finds a woman who reveals herself as a daughter of a rich merchant in the free city-states of Independence, and asks for his help to find and save her little sister who had been captured as well by the same faction.

Laruse accepts after having heard of the amount that he will be paid upon succeeding, and accepts the request, delving deep within the free city state of Civil, where the said faction had begun its rampage of terror, dragging along the helpless companion of Laruse , a girl named Cecil.

Little does Laruse know that this request is only the tip of the iceberg, and it is where he will be thrust in a conflict to change an outcome for a regime that will usher in a new age of tyranny.
