《I Reincarnated Into a Fictional Character》The true beginning.

There is a sensation of me floating on water as the warm sunlight bathes on my skin...what a wonderful feeling. My eyes are closed, yet light is going through, making me feel at ease. Warmth embraces me as I lie down without worries.

Uwaahh! Uwaahh!...

There's that crying again; I bet this is how parents felt after having a baby. To be plagued with high pitch crying is undoubtedly a significant inconvenience.

I am back inside my sea of consciousness with Ashley. The sea of consciousness is found in the upper Dantian, which I failed to explain before. As far as I know, there are 3 Donations: First, the upper, which is at the forehead between the eyebrows. Second, the middle is at heart. Third, the lower is 3 inches (7.62 cm) below the navel.

The Dantian is something we already know. As fellow xianxia/wuxia readers, so I won't explain further. However, the sea of consciousness or mind sea can be different from author to author.

I wrote the sea of consciousness as Qi's source for a cultivator; it is a sea of Qi. The larger the sea, the more Qi can a cultivator have. It is like a mana pool for heroes we use in games,

Yes, that's how simple my writing was. Unlike other wuxia/xianxia, that the sea of consciousness can become a world. A world controlled by the cultivator or other complicated shit they come up with. But we will never know if the sea of consciousness would be the same as I have written.

Babies inside the sea of consciousness should not be possible in the first place. So expect some changes in this reality.

Uwaah uwaah!!

I'm hoping she is only hungry this time, again, not any other reason. You see, it came to me that there are two more reasons why babies cry: number 1 and number 2. This would be a problem because I don't have any spare diapers.

Oh right, It's possible that Ashley isn't a "real" baby, and she is not likely crying because of either of the two. (stupid brain... it's quite apparent.)

Okay...shh shh... Stop crying already, I'll feed you. Damn, I sound like a mother feeding a baby with her milk. Such a troubling idea, me becoming a parent is preposterous.

The worst thing is, I don't even have the slightest experience of making one. (Hahaha!! I'm just like the Virgin Mary... except I'm a guy and not holy.)

I did not know why I ended up entering my sea of consciousness after being unconscious. This could have been the result of expending too much Qi, or I'm dreaming right now. Honestly, I'm clueless as you are.

Ashley is in front of me, so I noticed that she seems different this time. She looks more significant, and her features are more pronounced. Miraculously, I have spare Qi to feed her until she is full, making her crying stop.

Also, this time, I don't feel fatigued. After I finished feeding the baby, my surroundings shook, and I heard a voice saying:

"Wake up. Wake up."

It was so silky, yet it's sort... of deep, like a girl going through puberty. Yes, it is possible also for girls to change voices when they go through puberty.

It gets more profound but barely noticeable, unlike for us guys. I know this because I watched Disney's Frozen (not on purpose, of-course (; - That's a wink emoji.). Specifically, the part where Anna was singing the song: "Do you want to build a snowman?

She started singing as a child, then her voice would change as she grows up. I noticed that Anna's child's voice became slightly more in-depth in the song's middle part. I liked the sound of her voice.

(Weird, right? Woah! What's with that judging look? Don't get any funny ideas... I like the singing voice…not whatever you are thinking...)

I googled...anyway, long story short. Google told me girls can have a more resonant voice after going through puberty. Oh, shit! Did "I think" that out loud? So embarrassing!! Please pretend you did not hear any of that part; it is not that important.

The voice woke me up from my unconsciousness. As I open my eyes, I saw the beautiful starry skies are looming in the background and two large eyes looking down on me. The girl I painstakingly say has the saddest sights I ever saw; they're like two pools so deep I fear that if I dive in, I might never come up for air... I overlooked this detail when I found her because her eyes were closed at that time.

"Are you okay?" Her voice snapped me from my stupor.

"Yes, I'm fine," I replied, a little hesitant.

"Thank you for taking care of me. My name is Lou Yi." She helped me to sit upright as she introduces herself.

"It's nothing. I am Ash- ah, it's Yu Shi Chen." She only responded with a nod and looked up the stairs.

"We still have time to reach the peak. Do you think you can still go on?"

I should be asking her this question; a while ago, she was having a fever and seizure.

"I can still go on after a few minutes. I only need to restore my Qi. You should also restore your Qi before we climb."

I sat cross-legged and about to immerse myself in meditation.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

I opened my eyes and stared at her. "I am meditating to replenish my Qi. If we plan to reach a peak before midnight, we need to use our Qi to climb these stairs."

I explained, yet she is still puzzled. "OMG! Don't tell me you climbed half of these stairs without using your Qi?"

She stared at me with those eyes and asked, "What is O--M--G?"

"Never mind that," I blurted, scratching my head.

"Did you climb without using your Qi?."

I asked, trying to return to the topic. "What do you mean? And what is Qi?" She replied.

Wait!? She doesn't know about Qi. "You know... the energy in any living being which is..."

Her expression shows she is clueless about what I'm talking about, so I stopped my explanation. I need a different approach.

"Do you remember what you felt during your awakening? You know, when your martial spirit was being determined?"

She looked up to the left, which I assume means she is thinking.

"Oh, do you mean when the uncle with a beard touch me with his glowing hand, and I had a funny feeling?"

Wow, something wrong with that sentence.

"Yes...sort of. Did you feel energetic or like you felt powerful?"

"Hmmnn! Yes, it's hard to describe, except it was a wonderful feeling." Okay, at least we have something.

"Sit down, try closing your eyes, and remember the same feeling you had earlier."

She hesitated at first, but then she nodded. She sat beside me cross-legged and closed her eyes. Honestly, I don't know if it will work... Well, it worked for me, so I am hopeful.

"Do you feel it?" I asked, but she did not answer. She was still for already a minute. I guess it's working, right?

Okay, I also need to meditate; we are losing time. I don't want to know the punishment for those who will not make it in time. The minutes pass by, and finally, I felt energize and ready to resume the climb.

I opened my eyes, and once again, two large eyes are staring down at me. "Are you done yet? I'm ready to go... I'm refreshed and energized," she said.

"Okay... let's go!" I followed her as she dashed up the steps with cat-like reflexes. She can only take one action at a time because of her short legs and small frame; however, she is so fast I can barely keep up.

We climb up the mountain like it was flat. The cool night air helps, as it keeps me from sweating too much, and the cool breeze feels wonderful.

The moon is full, giving off enough light for us to see the way. We did not see anyone as we rush up, don't tell me we are the last ones.

"How long have I been unconscious? Do you think we can make it?" I shouted at Lou Yi, making sure she hears me.

"About an hour, not sure, though, because I also just woke up that time." Surprisingly I was able to hear her words.

One hour... It was about to get dark when I fell unconscious, but it's already nighttime when I woke up. It sucks not to have a watch or my phone to see what the time is already.

We gain a lot of distance while maintaining a stable speed. I'm impressed by Lou Yi's speed and tenacity. She is so frail and thin, yet she was able to keep her pace without her tiring. Me, on the other hand, is already on my limit. I'm already on the verge of breaking down when I heard Lou Yi's excited voice.

"Yes! I can already see it!" I look up and there it is, at the top of the mountain is another gate, this time it is made of stone. It is not as big as the entrance gate, but it's equally awe-inspiring.

Before I knew it...we arrived. It seems we're the last one to reach since the majority of the group are already here. Most of them on the ground collapsed from exhaustion. I also slumped down on the floor due to my legs feeling like jelly.

We've been climbing the mountain for hours. I was expecting a grand reception after we arrived at the peak. However, what greeted us is a closer stone gate.

I did not realize how much time had passed until the gates opened... Beyond this gate will be the place where I will be staying from now on. I don't know what my future holds...but this when my story begins.
