《I Reincarnated Into a Fictional Character》Rainbow

What the hell is happening here? I always wanted to be reincarnated but never in my life that I wanted to become a beggar. What terrible things I have done in my previous life that made me reborn into a beggar? And the worst thing is ...it seems I reincarnated into the web novel I wrote.
Let me explain how terrible this is. If I was a god and I created a world, I don't trust myself to live within the world created by me because I know how crappy it would be. I mean, what kind of world-a guy who has no imagination would make. I guy who named a significant setting of the story "A."
What's more, I named the protagonist Bo Jin. From the name of an anime character in Dragon Balls: "Majin Boo = Jin Bo," did you get it?
I know, right!! That is such a dumb name. I can't even give the MC a proper name.
You might be wondering why Majin Boo randomly popped into my mind. I also find him funny and cute, and he can turn his enemies into chocolates...how funny is that!!!
Damn... I should not be thinking about these things right now. My wandering mind shows my self-denial. I can't accept my current situation.
The noodle vendor was staring at my fast-changing facial expression. He looks at me with a "this dude is fucking crazy" look.
My expression might have been changing from disbelief to despair. Then a stupid grin of daydreaming.
"Hey, kid! Are you okay?"
He said while waving his hands in front of my face. He got so startled that he slapped me. This dragged me out of my thoughts.
"I'm fine, thank you for the food," I said dryly as I walked away.
I'm okay... I'm okay... Inhale...exhale... woohoo... I only wished I could be the guy that can accept everything and adjust. You know, like every character in a reincarnation novel.
They were like, "let's do this!" and everything returns to normal. How amazing is that...how in the world can a normal human being adjust that fast? The whole universe is making a practical joke on you, and you brush it off like it is nothing?
I wander the town like a dead man walking. Some people merely ignore me while others drove me away. Moments later, I found a group of people going in one direction.
Most of them are children about ten years old and below. They are coming from different parts of the town going all to the center. It made me curious, so I followed them.
The more we get closer to the town center, the number of people increases. In the middle of the crowd is a comprehensive platform where five young men wearing white robes are standing. Beside each of them is a floating crystal as big as a child's head.

A booming voice sounded at the center of the platform.
"All the children ages above six and below ten should fall in line at each crystal. Lay your palms it, and it will check your talent for cultivation."
Oh, yeah...the story started like this, the annual recruitment of cultivation sects. Each child is being assessed for their talent.
I titled this chapter: Test.
The talent hierarchy was, in fact, like this:
1. Violet
2. Indigo
3. Blue
4. Green
5. Yellow
6. Orange
7. Red
Yes, it is the colors of the rainbow. Very creative, right! Red is the lowest, and it means slow cultivation and limited potential.
As it goes higher, the talent is more significant. Higher talent represents faster cultivation and better potential. After the cultivators check each child's talent, the best of the lot will undergo another test, which is for the martial soul. Anyone who can cultivate has a martial soul. These will determine the cultivation path of a cultivator.
It doesn't sound straightforward but let me explain.
It is quite simple. In your world, yes you... the one reading, because evidently, I am a fictional character now.
Every person has a talent for something...right? Some can draw, sing, dance, paint, etc. Your talent may determine your job or your means to succeed in life. Some are good at drawing, and they can become an architect or an animator. Those who are good at singing can become a singer, performer, or entertainer. So on and so forth, simple.
This is the same for martial souls. There are two kinds of martial souls: martial tools and martial spirit. The majority of cultivators have a martial tool as their martial soul.
It could be a sword, which means the cultivator can become a swordmaster. It could also be a hammer, which could be for blacksmithing. It could be a cauldron, a martial soul. This means the cultivator can master alchemy or medicine.
Martial souls determine your "Dao" as a cultivator.
Martial spirits, on the other hand, are rare in the cultivation world. It is the essence of a cultivator. This is a martial soul that reflects the nature of a person.
You could say that it is your destiny and what you meant to be. It manifests in the martial spirit.
An example is a Warrior Martial spirit. This means you meant to be a warrior cultivator. Martial tools determine the number of "Dao" you can follow.
The Martial spirit determines what you are meant to be. Martial spirits are rare because it makes a character overpowered.
That's the main reason.
So there you go; I summarized the cultivation style in the novel I wrote. I'm not so sure if it would be the same after... You know...after I transmigrated here. My curiosity almost made me forget my current situation. I went nearer the platform so that I could watch and observe.

Thus, the testing begins after the white-robed youth announced: "begin!".
These young men wearing white robes are older. Who maintained their youthful appearance through cultivation. I knew because...never mind, that doesn't need an explanation.
The children started going up the platform five at a time. From the first batch, only two red lights shined from two crystals. Meaning only two of them can cultivate while the remaining three can't.
Again I expected this because this is how I describe the scene. The two children went on the side, and the next batch proceeded with the test. This time only one passed with orange talent.
This continued for a few hours, yet I continued watching. Then I also started observing those who failed the test; every one of them is disappointed. Some are crying while others went home with their parents, with their eyes downcast.
This is something I did not consider while writing my novel. I only focused on the people who passed, describing their joy and their talent color. I left those who failed out of the story because they are unneeded for the plot.
Right now, as I watched them, I felt sorry. This world I created is a cruel world, where strength is everything. People here don't have any human rights. No police or government to protect them. They can only rely on themselves, but how can they do that if they don't even have the chance to cultivate.
This is something that bothered me when I found out I was reborn here. Mostly since I was reborn as a beggar, not the main character of the story. If I can't cultivate, then how will I survive this world?
I don't even know if I'm allowed to take the test considering my age. I am deep in my thoughts when I noticed everybody became silent. I could hear one of the cultivators gasped with amazement. I looked up the platform and saw a bright blue light shined from one of the crystals. So this is the time the main character is introduced.
As I have described, he is a child so handsome, bordering on being so beautiful as a girl; the usual MC, with outstanding temperament and stunning looks. He looks mature even though he is only a child.
He is glowing brightly with splendor and grace. Yeah, fucking perfect, right?
The cultivators were not expecting anyone from this town to be so talented. This is the reason the cultivators are speechless. They brought crystal balls that measure until only the blue talent. The bright light from the crystal means it could be higher.
Again don't ask me why I know these things.
I'm sorry if I am bitter right now; I was supposed to be reincarnated as him, not into a freaking beggar.
After that, the leader of the cultivators asked his name.
"This nephew is called Bo Jin from the Bo family of Town A." He answered.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot how stupid the conversations I wrote. Bo Jin's reply is trying to convey that he is humble and at the same time being proud.
By calling himself a nephew, he humbles himself. But, it also implies the guarantee that he will become a disciple of the sect.
Hearing it being said out loud, I'm finding it very dumb.
"Very good, very good. As expected from the Bo family, they produce great talent."
The white-robed cultivator praised while stroking his chin.
Bullshit! He is just praising him and the Bo family because Bo Jin is talented. Ass-licking bastard. (Oh, sorry! Spoiler alert!)
Jin Bo bowed and thanked him. He joined the other children who passed, and they made way for him. Since the main character is already introduced, I ended the chapter by saying that the day ended after the test.
But in this reality, the chapter did not end. The testing continued. I became hungry and was about to go and find something to eat when I saw a girl going up the platform.
Do you recall the one that saved my ass? Yes, that's her. If I remember right, she is Young Miss Chen.
It's just that I don't remember a Chen family from the characters I created...
She placed her palm on the crystal, and it glowed green. The cultivators only nodded and let her join the others. She turned and faced the remaining children that are waiting for their turn.
Her eyes wandered for a moment; then, it landed on me. I am quite near to the platform, but I was on the sidelines for onlookers. She seemed to recognize me, so I smiled at her.
She moves closer towards the edge of the platform. "Why don't you join the test? I think you are about eight or nine, right?" She asked me with a flat indifferent tone.
Wait... what? I never considered the age of this body. I thought this body was about fourteen years old when I examine my reflection on the river. What I saw was a malnourished teenager, too small for his age, which I attributed to inadequate nourishment. And in my mind, I am already 24 years old.
"H...how. Can you tell my age?" I asked her stammering.
"I learned it from my teacher. I can tell your age from your bone structure," she said a matter of factly while rolling her eyes.
"Oh, thank you for reminding me; I'll go fall in line then," I said, scratching my head.
So I went waiting in line.
Then it is finally my turn...

Techno-Heretic
Eli is an ancient man sentenced to death for the crime of surpassing the sacred number of 32.8, which is the allowed percentage of increased mental ability from the use of AI chips. As he journeys through death and into a world of fantasy and magic, he finds himself approaching never before seen heights of magical power and ability. Powers that will shape the world and would see him go down in legends for generations ever after. Some people aren't looking to be all-powerful gods, have the world bow at their feet, or spend their days obsessing over accumulating ever more power. Some people just want acceptance, stability, and the warmth of their loved ones to drive away the cold loneliness of the night. And in a world where magic is the bedrock of society, where magic is what determines who is preferred for siring children, where people with high magical ability are destined to live in great luxury and those without magic simply live to make due, this difference in values and perspective could not have a starker contrast. As Eli and the people around him navigate the misconceptions and deceptions of this world, he will represent a great and magnificent future for the human race. One where humanity will stand above the elves, dwarves, orcs, fairies, and all the horrors of the world. Sadly, men's tools are as fallible as the people who make them, and in a society where the potential of an individual is determined solely through their magical level, this seed of promise may yet turn venomous.
