Several years passed since the death of Mona, the eagle riders under the tutelage of Nathan and Birdie became powerful warriors. Even without their eagles, the very powers obtain from the death of the birds confirm that they are in fact eagle riders.

Birdie now 33 when shopping with Bondi and Marrisa. They suddently found themselves in a different dimension.

"Do you miss me?" A familar voice spoke.

"Who is this?"Birdie looked around.

"I am Mertle. I am disappointed none of you would remember me especially you, Birdie". A red headed woman suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

"I can barely recognise you but its good to see you again". Birdie rushed to hug Mertle only to be stopped in her tracks by the latter.

"Really? I have come to kill you three. The day you decided to join the School of the Beast instead of remaining with me was what disappointed me. Even more so the day I heard you have returned to the School of Paradeisos". The red head shoke her head in disappointment.

"I choose the light that is all. It is not too late, Mertle". Birdie tried to plead with her former best friend to become a follower of the King of Paradeisos. "I don't want to have to fight you".

"Don't you worry. We are in a different dimension. Nobody will get hurt except you and your friends unless you three decide to join me. Black Thanatos is looking for more brides". Mertle gave Birdie, Bondi, and Marrisa a chance to join her as well.

"We would rather die!" Birdie answered in unison with Bondi and Marrisa.

"So be it!" Mertle turned into a green and red dragon and attacked the three women.

Another battle broke out resulting in a fight which was evenly matched.

"You three have grown much stronger than before. Ann has told me that you eagle riders were suppossedly very weak". Mertle mocked clearly trying to hide her surprise.

"Over the years, we eagle riders have learn to unite to defeat powerful opponents like yourself". Bondi replied not losing her concentration. "We look out for each other while you guys under Black Thanatos only look out for yourselves".

The fight continued.

"So the daughters of Mads and my half sister are fighting against me. I am so disappointed that you, Bondi would call me an opponent rather than a friend. Clearly my former best friend has brain washed you". Mertle who had turned back to her human form was talking to Bondi while looking at Birdie. "Your time for death is at hand".

Knowing that Marrisa is the weakest out of the three, Mertle rushed towards her only for Birdie to stand in the way sacrifcing herself.

"Channel your powers towards me!" Birdie cried out as Mertle stabbed her in the heart. Bondi and Marrisa complied and some powerful energy emerged from the Nathan's wife's body, pushing down Mertle.

"I forgive you", Birdie spoke out to Mertle while vomiting blood before passing away.

The red head disappeared from sight.

Bondi called up an ambulance which arrived. They could not figure out the death of Birdie and they took returned her body to Norman for burrial.

Back at the University of Thanatos, Mertle was left alone with the Nicholai, now the established pale green knight.

"You have failed Black Thanatos. Clearly a disappointment as you once claim to be better than my mother".

Mertle look into the eyes of Nicholai begging for mercy, however, over the years of being treated harshly and without mercy, the pale green knight stabbed her in the heart. He bowed down and said to Black Thanatos who appeared out of nowhere. "I have done as you wish, master".

"You are now the official pale green knight !" Black Thanatos laughed.

Nicholai walked out of the chamber and into the arena where Aiden and the other teachers in the University of Thanatos bowed down to him. The plae green knight glowed in a combination of pale green and black aura. The green aura surrounded the black aura enveloping his body.

Showing off his new found powers, he turned into a pale green smilodon before becoming a bright green dragon. Clearly, he had become a vessel for Black Thanatos to inhabit.

Nathan was at home watching the news when he spotted the pale green knight displaying his powers and gathering followers to himself. Knowing that the end is coming, he prepared himself and his followers for the dark times which are ahead.
