The end of the year had finally arrived, Mads and her husband had returned from their honeymoon. “Hello, Eagle, it has been a long time”. She ran towards him, giving him a hug, the usual tight one.

“Still strong for a petite woman”. Eagle teased only to earn a punch in the chest. “I thought I would get use to these punches by now”. He placed his right arm on his chest to smooth the pain causing Mads to giggle as usual. “Our Birdy is doing fine by the way. She is making friends with Mertle and growing up pretty quick”.

“It is the end of the year and if you nothing to do, Lawrence and I would like to catch up with you tonight”.

“I wouldn’t mind catching up. Birdy has asked me everyday when she will be able to see you again. I will invite my two new friends, Adrian and Rebecca/Mis Strong to come along”.

“No worries. See you tonight at.......”

“My unit.Birdy would like to show you her room”.

“See you later”. Mads responded with a kiss before running off.

Later on at Eagle’s unit while Adrian and Mis Strong were preoccupied with watching a film together on the television, Lawerence and Mads took him to the kitchen and the brunette who was once a popular girl in School of the Beast said, “My husband and I are going to the north to follow one of the teacher’s who has been given permission by the Headmaster to start and a lead an extension of School of Paradeisos which has already been built there. We found that new branch during our honeymoon and Norman has given him permission to do so. Regarding, Birdy, we will be taking her with us and her things as well but don’t worry. You still will be able to see her anytime you like, I am sure your bright green eagle can get there. Here is the address. This will give our daughter time to bond with her stepfather. Are you alright with that?”

“Let’s get Birdy to see what she says”.

Birdy came running out of the room hugging Eagle before saying, “I love you daddy but I want to spend time with mommy”.

“Well it looks like our daughter will be going with you after all”, Eagle have a smile while placing Birdy on his lap.

“As I said. You are always welcome to see her. I am glad we can still be friends despite everything we have gone through. Not everybody can do that”.

“It is a blessing in disguise”. Eagle smiled while looking out of the window at the stars.

“We will come over and pack Birdy’s things tomorrow evening. In the meantime, let’s enjoy New Year’s Eve with your two guest, they would not like to be left alone and head out to the beach where many of us will be gathered together tonight”.

Eagle, who was carrying Birdy,Lawrence, Mads, Adrian, and Mis Strong headed to the beach where they enjoyed the fireworks and the people cheering. They were greeted by Norman and his family who arrived ahead of them.

“I am certainly glad we can celebrate New Year’s Eve together”, Tomi arrived with Mertle in her arms.

Taking Eagle a few hundred metres from the group, Mads asked, “Have you made the decision yet?”

“What?”

“I never thought I was going to marry a great man and eagle rider like Lawrence. If had never forgiven myself, I would have never been married to him. You should really consider embracing your desire for a spouse and it will be good if you do so. I am not forcing you. All I want is to see you happy which you already are. Just don’t want you to miss out on something so beautiful which I know you want deep inside”. These words gave Eagle plenty to think about and even the fireworks and everybody wishing each other, “Happy New Year could not make him forget these words”.

The next evening, Lawerence arrived with Mads and a few men to remove Birdy’s belongings from her room and leaving to the north for good but not before allowing his wife and his step daughter to hug and kiss Eagle goodbye.

Left to himself, Eagle looked at the picture he had with Birdy and though he missed his daughter, he was happy that she will grow up with both parents.

Breaking down in tears which washed his eyes and released all the tension which was in his heart that had been bottled up, Eagle felt free and finally embraced his inner desires.

The following year, Eagle was happily married to Tomi after getting confirmation from the Headmaster and his leader, Norman.

Lawrence and Mads who had returned to witness their wedding together with Birdy. The brunette approached both of them saying, “I knew you would finally make the decision” while embracing both Eagle and Tomi in a hug with both her hands.

Now, it was Eagle and Tomi’s turn to leave for a honeymoon for one year and they allowed Lawrence and Mads to take care of Birdy and even Mertle who didn’t mind as she wanted to be with his best friend. Moreover, the daughter of Tomi knew that she will be able to watch plenty of movies with her best friend and Mads is not really a strict mother.

Another five years when by very quickly and the children were now twelve. Eagle and Tomi had a daughter of their own whom they named Bondi Green, who was born with brown hair and green eyes. While everything seems peaceful and going smooth. Furthermore, his boss Zack even promoted the half Asian man as supervisor over his warehouse making him second in charge after him. This happened three years after, Eagle married Tomi. However, due to the lessons thought by his blue haired teacher, Eagle had learned newer to let his guard down and continued training even in times of peace and prosperity.
