Chapter 18: Life of luxury.

Eagle took Mads to the largest night club in Earthos by public transport and paid a handsome amount of cash to enter without having to line up like the others.

"Are you sure you can afford this?" Mads curosity got the better off her.

"Just let me take care of everything tonight", Eagle look at her with a smirk.

"I have a feeling you have somehow changed?"

"Don't you like the new me?"

"I do but somehow I feel you are hiding something. You are someone I have never met in school. Don't get me wrong I like you but you do not need to change to impress anyone".

"Not trying to", Eagle spoke as he called out the barmaid, "Come here beautiful, my honey wants a drink for free".

"Eagle. What are you doing?" Mads punched Eagle in the left biceps, "You sound just like both Jake and Bart. Look she is coming".

"A free drink it is", the barmaid smiled.

"Enjoy your wine, honey?"

"Stop it!" Mads giggled obviously enjoying the new confidence Eagle had. "If you had been this confident, Tomi would have been attracted to you".

"Indeed!"

"Have you ever been attracted to me, espeially after our cuddle on the green launge?" Mads put on her cutesy pout now getting into the flirty mood.

"So what if I am?" Eagle confidently took Mad's hand and led her to the dance floor, "Let's dance".

The dance was finally over and most of the ladies were leaving. Knowing that by a certain time, the ratio of guys will outnumber the girls, Eagle took Mads to a hotel. "Let's watch the same movie which we watched on the lounge and relive the time when we were only sweet sixteen. I forgot, I have not even turned sixteen at that time old lady". That comment earned Eagle and kick between the legs.

"What will you be doing after this?" Mads who was high due to drinking a bit of wine asked.

"I will be going travelling around Earthos and see what it is like".

"You should do it. I have done it with my mother and it was fun. Who will you be taking with you?"

"Just me, myself, and I. You can tell Sarah to rent out my room to someone else".

Turning on the television and finding Alien vs Predator 2 on HBO, Eagle and Mads snuggled up together. This time it went further than it had gone on the green lounge. The next day, Eagle attempted to leave Mads in the hotel room with cash and a note to give to Sarah.

"No don't go!". She held on to Eagle's right hand before he could get off the bed.

"Why? We were just having fun for the night".

"I realise that I really like you and want to be with you".

"Yeah really? Like when you acted like I didn't exist during your 15th birthday and invited me for your 16th birthday which you did not turn up?"

"I am really sorry, Tomi had some personal issues going on and I felt bad about it. I had to help her sought it out".

"What about the time you cuddled up me with on the lounge and just left me there? Using me to stroke your ego at that time".

"I am sorry Eagle, I did mess with you back than but I really like you and want to be with you".

"Well I don't. I only wanted a good time".

These words made Mads' anger flare up and she pushed Eagle off the bed before kicking him between the legs and stepping on .........in rage. "That is for treating me as nothing more than a slut. Now get out of here!".

Eagle slowly got up, put on his clothes, and headed for the hotel door, opening it, walking out, and closing it behind him.

A week later, Eagle received a call from Mads during his vacation, "Hi Eagle. Sorry to bother you during your vacation. I am not angry that you have left me in the hotel alone as I have done that to you many times in high school. I just want to inform you that I am pregnant".

"I am on vacation in the south and having fun. Why don't you just abort the baby. Your boyfriend doesn't have to know".

"He already does and I am begging you to have mercy on me".

"I am busy hanging out with the barmaid we met at the nightclub. The one who gave you a free drink. See you later".

"That is not the Eagle I remember. I am disappointed with you. The Eagle I knew would never speak the way you did and always valued life no matter what condition he is in. Guess I was wrong about you!".

Mads hangs up

After sending the barmaid off who had to go to work in a job she just found at the bar on the ground floor in the hotel below, Eagle thought to himself, "Did I really do the wrong thing? I am finally enjoying fame and fortune and Mads calls me to raid my brain. Yeah right?"

Eagle headed to the bar and sang that song impressing everyone with his ability to sing which was never appreciated when he was in high school. He had audiences singing along and many of them even got up and danced along. He stole the lime light that very night and money was thrown to him. He waited till the bar close down before bringing the same barmaid to his room.

The next day, Eagle left the barmaid in the hotel room with money before heading off to his next conquest. His life was now like the film 'Ghost of Girlfriends Past. "I am having the time of my life. Yeee hah!"

Four years passed quickly and Eagle had enjoyed more than enough fame and fortune. He found a hotel in the north where he planned to stay for a short time. He wanted to head back to the west to see Tomi but he aborted that idea as he knew it would mean being confronted by Mads.

Eagle ended up eating in the luxury restaurant and ordered a huge amount of food.

"You have such a big appetite for a small man", the waitress laugh.

"I am large enough for you, beautiful. You have got lovely brown eyes".

"Yeah right".

As Eagle was in the middle of his lunch, he was approached by the same eight people he had met in the mall.

"You are a difficult man and you have used our power without signing the contract far longer than you have promised. It is time to fulfill your end of the bargain". Aiden Red took out the contract.

"Go away and leave me alone. It is my choice to sign up or not. This is my life".

"You are about to learn the hard way. Your torment will begin soon".

"We shall see".

Aiden and his friends disappeared leaving Eagle alone to eat. He called out to the waitress. "Hey blonde, what are you doing after this?"

"Heading home".

"Come over to my hotel room, it will be fun".

"Sure thing. It is late anyway and there is no more public transport". The next morning, Eagle left the waitress in the hotel with money before continuing his travel around Earthos.

Between that trip, Eagle travelled everywhere else and his ability to attract women went down hill. Women after women rejected him even with his handsome amount of cash offered. Tired of the rejection he incurred around Earthos, he decided to head back to the west. Everything seems to be smooth sailing until Eagle saw a dark entity in the sky. It struck the plane which began heading towards the ground. Thankfully it did not crash but it landed on an isolated island in the middle of nowhere.
