Happy birthday, Jake. Thank you for being my best friend", Eagle spoke to Jake at his birthday party in his house who was now 13 years of age. Everybody else clapped their hands.

"Thank you, Eagle. I guess". Jake replied nicely, "May all your dreams come true and thank you for remembering every birthday of mine. I am sorry I forgot yours a few months ago".

"It is alright Jake. You always have plenty of girls liking you and have always been the popular one. I am happy for you regardless as I always consider you to be my best friend for life". Eagle offered a friendly fist bump.

"Yeah we always will be best mates for life". Jake offered with a friendly fist bump of his own. "You know what Eagle, I am going to go around and mingle with some of my visitors. Don't just sit down alone like a twat, go meet some new friends, I am sure they will like to meet you".

"I am sure they will be more please to meet you".

"If you do not want to talk to anyone at least say hi to your crush Tomi. If you are too shy to approach her, go up to Mads". Jake looked towards a beautiful blonde with hazel eyes who was standing beside a petite girl with shoulder length brown hair and ocean blue eyes. Mads who noticed both Eagle and Jake looking their direction responded with a smile and a wink. "You see Eagle. There is the green light now go on".

Eagle took one look at the two girls but was hesitant to go. There were a few guys surrounding these two girls. "I need to master my pick up lines first of all".

"Don't take too long. I have to go now". Jake was almost immediately drag away by a blonde hair blue eyed boy who is about the same height as Eagle who introduced himself as Bart.

"Where are you taking me Bart?"

"Somewhere, it is going to be a surprise. It will make your life better".

"We should bring Eagle along, he has always wanted more confidence and fame".

"You should think of yourself first. He should learn to stand on his own two feet and approach the girls himself. Anyway, these guys do not like waiting too long we must hurry".

Bart dragged Jake to the back of his own house where two boys and girls were waiting for them. "Greetings Jake. We have been sent to you to help you have a better life. Tell us your dream". The leader was a large muscular boy with dark skin and his body burns bright with red energy. The second boy was a smaller and more on the 'pretty' boy side with black hair and grey blue eyes. The first girl was busty and the same height as Eagle and has red short hair and green eyes. The second girl was slim and has black braided hair and hazel eyes. All of them were wearing red t shirts. The boys were wearing blue jeans and while the girls were wearing black tight pants.

"I long to be famous and popular as well as successful in high school and in my adulthood". Jake replied looking at the four students confuse.

"You can have you wish come true. My name is Aiden Red and these are my friends Ryan, Mellisa, and Sonya" the leader spoke up.

"What do I have to do?"

"Forget your friendship with Eagle and sign a blood contract".

"But he is my best friend".

"But he drags you down doesn't he. Half the time, you get fustrated because he is unable to stand up for himself and too chicken to approach a girl he likes. You find it hard to leave his side as he has difficulty making friends and takes away much of your time. You are better off not having him around. Plus due to always hanging around him, your confidence is honestly just as bad as his. Now lets remove that poor confidence of yours, your popularity will sky rocket even more".

"Lets me go and get Eagle".

"Forget that loser. He is probably sitting there like a twat as you said".

"You heard?"

"We know". Aiden led Jake to the back kitchen window and the spotted Eagle through the door still standing alone like a twat looking at his watch. "I am right, am I not? Do you want that weakling to hold you back. He would not have the courage to do exactly what I am telling you".

"What would that be?"

"Cut your index finger with this pen knive and place your blood on this contract". Aiden handed out a paper called, 'I pledge my life to Black Thanatos' before taking a pen knive out of his pocket and handing it to Jake.

"Alright, I will give it a go. Not that I believe in this anyway?"

Eagle placed took the pen knive and cut his left index finger before placing it on the contract. A dark aura immediately came over Jake.

"Welcome to our clan. We are your seniors in the School of the Beast. The power you received comes from the four wizards and you have received a small fraction of what they have. Well done. From now on your confidence will sky rocket and you will have everything you desire. Join the School of the Beast and do not go to any other high school. Anything you need come and ask us, your seniors. We are all a year older than you".

Bart who was listening to Aiden nodded with glee. "How do you feel, Jake?"

"I feel great. Its like my confidence has sky rocketed. I also hear a voice which comes from a figure in black surrounded by pale green aura with white and red auro in his right and left hand respectively". Jake grinned in an evil way which frightened Bart who began to sweat.

"It seems you have paid a bigger price than I have", Bart gulped.

"Since you are one of us now. I will let you in our little secret. Most of the School and the world does not know the Black Thanatos exists. We are the ones to rule the school and decide who gets to become principal and teachers. To maintain our secret we do not assossiate with students from the other classes except these we deem worthy like both you and Bart. We will help you take down anyone who opposes you but betray us and our secret and it will cost you your life". Aiden smirked.

"Sounds like a conspiracy theory but anyway my lips are sealed. I have decided to end my old ways. From now on, you will be my new best friend. Let's get back in".

"We shall see how long you last. Many who have been made by us have been taken down as well for breaking our secret".

Thanking the boys and girls in red who were a year older than them, Jake and Bart returned to the party inside the house looking for Eagle. Unable to find him, Jake pulled one of his friends aside and asked, "Where is Eagle?"

"You mean the guy who was acting like a twat? He has been waiting for you for the past two hours before heading home".

"So Eagle thinks everything goes his way by acting the way he is. Wrong move. I will teach him tomorrow I know he will show up to apologize which he always do the next day whenever he leaves a party unannounced ever since we were ten.

As it was still summer and Jake had the house to himself till next weekend, he decided to chat up Tomi. It would pretty well and he managed to win her heart with his charm and charisma in just under ten minutes. "Congratulations, Tomi", Mads spoke up clapping her hands.

The next day, while Jake was at home doing his gym work out program, a knock on his door arrive. He went to answer the door and just as he had predicted, Eagle came at 2:00 pm which he usually does. "What do you want?" Jake look annoyed. "I didn't call you to come over. Don't you have any manners?"

"I just came to say sorry for leaving your party early. I came to say sorry and bought you a He Man today and a dvd. Let's watch He Man together. You can keep the DVD as a tokken of my apologies".

Jake took the toy and DVD from Eagle's hands gently before he abruptly threw them down on the ground. He proceeded to step on them breaking the DVD and the toy.

"What did you do that for. If you are angry with me please say so but you did not have to do that?"

"I am done playing your childish games and being there for you whenever you at all the parties and gatherings we go to. Your parents even treat you differently from the others. I have wasted time hanging around you for too long. Now get off my property and go home or whever your feet takes you, loser".

"But what about being best friends forever?"

"That was yesterday. Now get lost. If I see you again, it will not be good on your PART!"

Eagle left sobbing. "What have I done wrong?"

"I got rid of one problem. It is time to go on to phase two". Jake rang the phone. "Hi Tomi, this is Jake. You should come over and hang out, my parents are not in. It will be fun". He never met Eagle for the rest of the year until the first day in the School of the Beast, Jake who was now dating Tomi heard a familiar voice saying, "If I could only fly like an Eagle".

Jake turned around and to his surprised saw Eagle actually standing behind Tomi. He smirked but he decided to watch Eagle for a while.

His former best friend accidentally bumped into Tomi before lamely introducing himself. That was when Jake stepped in. "Look at this loser trying to crack on to my girlfriend. So you enrolled to this school too bet you want to prove to your parents you can look after yourself. Guess what, you will be out of here in no time and I will see that it happens".

Eagle's eyes were wide with disbelieve all over his facial expression. He did not expect his former best friend to treat him that way. It was a total contrast to the former Jake who used to look out for him. That was only the beginning of Jake making the half Asian boy's life hell.
