《Rainbow Pandemonium》Their "Truth"

If it hasn’t become obvious at this point, then let me clarify. There exist many different worlds with many different creatures and civilizations, each one more different than the last. However, what if I told you that things weren’t always this way? That once long ago there existed a single world. A world was so peaceful that it could be called a paradise. This world was called Fabula.

Fabula was a world like no other, a world without struggle or strife. Made up of lush forests, bountiful plains, crystal clear lakes, and vast mountains with grand cities dotting the landscape. There were no monsters or illnesses. Everyone had all that they needed, never knowing hunger or war. This prosperity was due to the Divine council of Mount Pseudokhristos. Seven godly siblings are said to be the first gods to ever appear in the world. Each one of them was responsible for shaping humanity and ruling over the other 12 thousand gods.

The seventh sibling was the young god of Wisdom Enki, who gave humans the gift of language. The Sixth sibling was the scared god of craftsmen Lugh, who gave humans the knowledge to create tools. Fifth was the blind goddess of truth and justice Maat, who gave humans law and order. Fourth, was the quiet Goddess of contracts Var, who gave humans morals and values. Third, was the fair goddess of death Apophis, who gave humans the gift of rebirth. Second, was the beautiful goddess of the moon Tear, who gave humanity the night. Finally, was the first God the brilliant god of the sun Elio, who gave humans the light of day.

With Lord Elio’s leadership, and the hard work of the other six, Fabula was truly a paradise where humans and gods lived together in harmony. The gods used their incredible powers to move mountains, turn water into wine, and healed the blind and deaf. While the humans worked the land. However, these peaceful times would sadly not last forever.

One day a star fell from the sky and shook the ground, this caused seven villagers from nearby to investigate. Searching through the woods for hours, the seven villagers had no luck in finding the star or the cause of the earthquake. As night began to fall, they heard a voice echo through the forest. It was quiet at first, but as the sunset, it become louder and louder.

The seven villagers decided to follow the voice and found themselves deeper in the woods than anyone had gone before. By the time the moon had risen high in the sky they had found themselves at a clearing. The ground was bare, with no plants in sight, with a large purple and black crystal in the center.

“Come this way, my friends.” The crystal called. The villagers were surprised! They had never seen a talking rock before and were naturally wary. But the crystal had a silver tongue.

“Don’t be scared. I’m a friend, a friend that will help you gain what you truly desire.”

Slowly but surely come closer and closer to the crystal. Till one villager asked,

“What do you mean?”

“Just what I said.” Replied the crystal.

“What’s a desire?” Asked another.

The villagers were confused by the crystal. They lived in a world where they had everything they would ever need, never wanting anything.

“A desire is a wish. A wish for something from the bottom of your heart and everyone has them. Let me show you.” After saying that the crystal began to glow in bright purple light.

Images began to flash before the villagers’ eyes. Fantasies about them being as fast as Hermes, as strong as Thor, and as wise as Thoth. The light faded and the villagers were stunned.

“Can we really be like the god?” They asked and crystal replied,

“Of course, Why would I lie to you, my friends.”

A piece of the crystal broke off and gently flew to the villager standing in front.

“But I will need your help to make your desires come true. You will need to put as many gods as you can in this crystal.” It continued.

“Why?” One villager asked.

“Because I need their power in order to share it with all of you.”

Can’t we just ask them for some of their power? They’ve always shared with us before.”

“Because THEY don’t want to share their power with humans. Think about it, they have all that power but never offered to share any of it with you before.”

The villagers were silent, they remember all the things they shared with the gods and felt betrayed.

“I’m not like them. I believe you have every right to be just as strong as the gods. That’s why I’ll do everything to help. With the crystal, I just gave you, the gods put inside will be put to sleep. Once that happens, I can share their power with you without hurting them.”

The villagers looked at each other and nodded,

“We’ll do it!” They said together.

After that they left the crystal, they come up with a plan to catch the gods. The Violet one and the Blue one would pretend to be hurt. While the Green one would go to get “help” from gods nearby. Once the gods, concerned for the humans, arrived they’d be ambushed by the Yellow, Orange, Red, and indigo ones. Then Violet and blue would put them in the black crystal. They would come to repeat this act thousand of times.

By the time Elios and the other members of the Divine Council realized that something was wrong it was already too late. The villagers brought the black crystal full of gods back to the clearing. There the dark crystal had been waiting.

“Welcome back my friends! Have you done what I’ve asked of you?” It asked.

“Yes!” The villagers responded with excitement. They handed over the black crystal. It was silent at first but then said,

“Amazing my friends! You’ve surpassed my expectations!”

“Can we get out powers now? “Yellow asked.

“Of course, of course! To begin place your hands on me and we can start.” Replied the crystal.

They placed their hands on the crystal, which started to glow, and light a black light shot up into the sky. Black clouds gathered in the sky. Having noticed that something was wrong the villagers tried to remove their hands but couldn’t and were sucked into the crystal.

Elios and the other gods rushed over to the black light. As soon as they got close demons of all sorts of shapes and sizes spawned from the light. A giant battle ensued. Forests were burned to the ground, lakes were poisoned, mountains were erased, and cities were destroyed overnight. Over time the very world itself began to shatter into pieces. The battle continued for a thousand days and nights with no end in sight.

Gods and humans alike died in numbers too great to count, but the demons just kept coming. The gods realized that If they were going to have a chance of winning the humans needed to fight. But they were powerless, having no real power or experience. The moon goddess Tear had a solution, she created the world system which gave the humans classes and skills, allowing them to fight, but even that wasn’t enough.

The world was crumbling around them their once seemly infinite world was now only composed of a few pieces of land. If the fighting wasn’t stopped soon then there would be no world left to fight for. Understanding this the remaining gods made the ultimate sacrifice. They pushed the demons back towards the land that the dark crystal rested and using all their strength and lives created a barrier that would seal the demons. This land would become to be known as the Cursed content.

The Divine Council were the only gods remaining with the responsibility to ensure that something like this never happens again. Elios knew that the barrier would break down over time if left alone. However, the power needed to fix it was more than his siblings or this now broken world could provide. That’s when he realized something amazing. The fragments of the world that scattered into the void started to come together. Creating countless new worlds filled with power. A power that he could use to maintain the barrier.

However, the world was fragile and unstable if he goes to collect the power himself they would shatter killing any life that managed to survive. So, he used his power to create a vessel. A vessel that could go to these other worlds without harming them and be brought back. This vessel is the Saint. The Saintess would be born in another world and then be brought backfilled with power. Once purified she would make the same sacrifice as the gods releasing the power fixing the barrier. Then she would be born again and repeat the process.

In order to repent for the sins of the villagers who brought about the world’s destruction, humans were given the task of serving the gods and the retrieval of the vessel. Each kingdom under the Divine Council protection would take turns performing the sacred ceremony to summon the vessel back to Fabula and handing it back to the church.

“Do you understand now child? That this thing you call your sister is Eilo’s divine vessel.” King Argyurios explained with a satisfied look on his face.

I remained silent as the king grinned with anticipation like he believed I’d understand and accept all that he said without question. He continued to say,

“You were brought here with a vessel by accident. However, for your service in protecting the vessel, Eilo has declared that you are adopted into the royal household of Humbaba as the second princess. You should be honored, not many get to play such a big role in taking care of the vess…”

“Her name is Hana Callisto. She is a living person, not an object. She has a name, Use it.” I said interrupting him in a calm firm voice. He let out a big sigh like he knew this would happen.

“The Archangels said you might act this way.” As he said that the guards that stood behind him began moving towards me. I stood up and eyed the guards as they got closer.

“It’s not your fault. The people of the other worlds have been made to live in ignorance without lord Eilo’s light. But that’s fine, we’ve been asked to educate you.” He continued. My back is against the door and the guards were only a few feet from me.

Everyone was still for a moment, watching the wanting. A second later they reached for me, I opened the door and ran through. The guards fell trying to catch me. Before the guards outside the door realized what was going on I’d already taken off the heeled shoes they put me in and escaped down the hall out of sight.

“Let her be.” Called the king, “She has nowhere to go. We’ll leave her be for now. The truth must have come as a shock to her. What she needs is time to come to terms with the truth. This time we won’t fail, we will not anger lord Eilo again.” He continued.

“Yes, your majesty!” The guards replied.

As for me I just ran.
