《HP The Birth Of Darkness》Chapter 16

[The same day, a few hours later]
I am finishing making a hole to bury Morfin, I went to the cabin to find something to help me and I was able to get a bar and a shovel to dig
It was a bit more complicated than I thought to make the hole, it has to be big enough for the body and deep enough to avoid future problems.
If I had found a proper knife I could cut off its legs and make the hole smaller
Too bad I couldn't find one that would work
As I push the body into the hole I think about the things I could get from Morfin
His magic wand and a ring with some strange symbols.
I laugh as I think that at this rate I will probably become a magic wand collector.
Right now I have in my possession the wands of Marvolo and Morfin, I already have two wands and I have not bought mine yet hehe
I wonder if my mother has one, I never saw her use it, maybe I will look for it in the future so that all the wands of the Gaunt family are together.
Speaking of my mother, I wonder what happened to her, she is probably dead
It has been 10 years without returning home, it is a long time.
well, what does it matter, maybe in the future when I'm bored I will find out what happened to her.
I decide to do a meditation session to be in optimal conditions before trying to cross the barrier to my brain
I begin to guide the energy towards my chest, when I gather a sufficient amount, I begin to direct it towards my neck
When the magic energy hits the barrier, I feel a strong pain throughout my body, but mainly in my head.
I feel like my brain is being hammered and my body is being cooked in a pot.

The pain is quite strong but this is nothing compared to the torture that the stupid old men subjected me to when they captured me
as he continued forcing the magic energy to crash into the barrier the pains increased.
as time passes the barrier begins to give way, but so does my body
I seem to underestimate the capacity of my body, little by little I start to lose control
I quickly wonder if I should continue to the end or if it would be better to stop and try again later.
the logical option seems to try and when my body can no longer resist the damage stop, but I have the feeling that I may lose a unique opportunity if I give up and do not try until the last consequences
So after weighing my options, I decided to give it a try until my body can't take it anymore.
after about 10 minutes the barrier is about to break, but my body is also close to breaking
I can't stop shaking, I'm drenched in sweat and I'd swear I'm bleeding from all my holes
I think I'm about to pass out, but before that, I feel like something "clicked" in my body and energy quickly flooded my brain
then my body could not resist anymore, I left my meditation phase and felt like I lost control of everything
my body seemed to be having an epileptic seizure
then suddenly my vision changed
See a room with many journalists and a lectern where a person in a white tuxedo and a sad face is speaking.
"Unfortunately today I must announce the sad news to the empire"
"The elders of the council suffered an attack, a bomb detonated while the transmission was taking place and they died"
"We are currently working with all relevant authorities as we investigate what were the reasons for such a shameless attack and act of contempt against our glorious empire."

when the person at the lectern finished speaking, the journalists were trying to assimilate the bomb they had just heard
Then I could see that an agile reporter raised her hand as she asked
"Sir, you think the attack is related to the….
but before I could continue listening I felt that a vortex appeared that absorbed all the image that I was seeing
Then there was a void in front of me, a big black spot
while I was looking at that black spot a light appeared in the distance
that light quickly becomes more radiant and expands, until all I can see is that light that blinds me, then forcing me to close my eyes
When I open my eyes, the scene that I was looking at changed
a person with a black robe that covers his entire body sits in an alley on a carpet with a deck of cards, on the sides there are 2 streets where many people pass, the vast majority also have robes, wizards probably
the person sat for a long time in complete silence while observing this person I had the feeling that I was looking at myself in the future
after a while, a group of 4 youngsters walked down one of the streets
While they were talking, one of them was attracted to the person in the alley and without a word to his companions decided to approach him.
He was a boy of 12 or 13 years old probably, with blond hair, a little long and a wart on his left cheek.
He approached the black-robed man and asked shyly
"Sir ... how much do you charge"
That question seems a little stupid and out of place I thought
The person was silent for a long time when the boy seemed somewhat uncomfortable, he heard a male voice saying
"Stretch your two hands child"
the boy timidly stretched out his hands and the man grabbed both of his forearms
I could see that the boy was really scared when he saw his hands and felt the grip, his legs were shaking like jelly
after a few seconds, the shoulder released the boy and began to shuffle the cards, meanwhile he asked him
"What do you want to know child, just one thing, think carefully"
the boy thought seriously as he watched hypnotized as the man shuffled the cards
"I want to know about the future, about my future" replied that child
"Hahaha everyone wants to know about their young future, but can you accept the results?" the robed man said
after he finished shuffling he used his hands to spread all the cards on the mat
"The past, the present and the future the great unknown that wraps us all in its mantle"
"To know about your future your two eyes you must close and select 3 cards by touching them with your right index finger"
the boy followed the instructions of that man and selected 1 to 1 the three cards
when the man told him that he could open his eyes he could see that there were three tarot cards on the carpet
the man uncovered the first card, the one on the left and it was "Judgment" but the card was reversed
"An interesting card represents your weakness, your doubts, your inner shyness, the need to make a change that you are aware of and which you want but do not have the necessary courage to make"
when the man was going to raise the second letter the same thing happened again
a vortex swallowed everything I saw and left me in total darkness while I thought about what those images that I had just observed meant

By cold steel and elemental sorcery, they brought peace to a warring land on the brink of destruction. As the flames died, the realm needed strong leadership, and who better than the champions who had saved the kingdom? But when the people sought out their saviors... they vanished. Matt, Blake, Jen, and Carl: the four mysterious companions, who together had deposed an insane ruler and saved countless lives, were gone—spirited back in a whirlwind of magic to a sleepy suburb in Mellbridge, Oregon, never to return. The friends found themselves home in the real world, exactly as they'd been the night they were taken, as if no time had passed... except only three came back. Hi there! This was my entry for National Novel Writing Month, because why only write one series at a time? The more the merrier! (meanwhile, my keyboard bursts into flames...) I'm also the writer of The Last Science, an ongoing low-fantasy/speculative sci-fi series. If you're familiar with that, you know what to expect here: lots of character-focused drama and dialogue, not a whole lot of traditional action. However, I'm writing a bit differently than usual here, and in a very different structure, so there should be some surprises for returning readers. I hope you enjoy it! [Discord] — for those of you who want to hang out and chat. Cover art (fullsize): Path of Revelation, by taenaron (Tobias Roetsch), modified by Etzoli. Normally I like to do my own cover art from scratch, but I was in a rush for the contest. Might be replaced down the line if I get time. Right as Rage
Only 15 years have passed since the miscreant god, Villi, stole magic from the gods and gave it to mortals. In response the mortals seem to be doing their best to squander this gift. The Kingdom of Abrune regulates it, the church of the Sacred Hierarchies outright condemns it, but one 'wildman' from across the sea begins his journey after being cursed by it. Vakdragnar's curse manifests when he loses his temper. It has driven everyone he’s ever cared about away from him. Out of options and money, he travels to the city of Tirough and quickly finds himself on the wrong side of the law. He is persecuted despite his intentions to do good. How can you stand against evil if everyone you’re trying to protect thinks you’re the villain? And if this curse is truly a part of him now, what if they’re right? **************************************************************************************************** Right as Rage is a story I’ve been excited to write for some time now. I hope everyone is as excited to read it. This story is going to be told over several arcs, with each arc containing 7-12 chapters, and an interlude or two each. I plan on submitting new chapters once a week on Tuesday evenings.

This group of twenty-five finds themselves teleported to the land of Exandria, a world of swords and magic, of elves and orcs, of dungeons and dragons. A strange old man informs them that they are the newest members of the Adventurer's Guild, a group that takes contracts all around the world for gold and glory. Follow Brian and his newfound allies as they learn to become professional adventurers, complete contracts for the Guild, and maybe find a way home. To honor the source material's Dungeons and Dragons roots, I will be rolling dice throughout the development of this story. Everyone has a character sheet. From combat encounters to social interactions, everything that can be rolled will be rolled. See how a natural 1 can turn the tide of a battle, how a successful intimidation check can subvert a fight, or how deception can reveal critical info. No one is safe and anything can happen when you put your fate in your hands, take a chance, roll the dice. A Critical Role Fanfiction
