《HP The Birth Of Darkness》Chapter 15

[the next day]
Before the sun rises I am finishing preparing to start confirming my hypotheses
While serving my sentence in prison, I had quite a few questions about magic and my magical energy
When I started meditating 10 years ago I wasn't sure if my blood absorbed magical energy or just used my veins to move through my body.
After some time I concluded that it was the second option, if it were the first, we would probably be immortal, which does not seem possible
But that doesn't mean that my body doesn't get stronger due to the magical energy, just that the process is much slower.
But in my time in prison, it was easy to see a problem, the magic energy for some reason was not circulating in the direction of my head
It seemed that something was preventing it as if there was a barrier on my neck that blocked it from entering
This is undoubtedly curious because I think that even a fool would understand the importance of the fact that the energy circulates through the brain as well as the eyes and strengthens them.
But do not try to force my energy because it will undoubtedly be dangerous, there is a barrier for something and I will not be the one who will prove the result of trying to cross it
So the first experiment I will do with Morfin will be to try to get the magic energy to destroy that barrier and penetrate his brain
I'm pretty sure I can transfer some of my magic power as long as I put my hand on his body and guide him towards the barrier to try to penetrate it.
After finishing my meditation I am ready to start the tests.
I decide to inject the energy through his left arm, my idea is to guide the energy throughout his body and see if there is any reaction between his energy and mine

Then he grabbed his arm and injected little energy but steadily, everything seemed to be going well but after a few seconds Morfin's body began to react.
I am not an expert but I could assure you that you are going through a painful situation.
After trying a few more seconds I decide to stop, it would not be good if my test subject died in the first 5 minutes.
After thinking for a while about what could be the causes for which Morfin reacted in this way, I came up with 2 possibilities that make a lot of sense to me.
1) maybe Morfin's body is unconsciously trying to reject the input of my magical energy, to be sure it would have to be tested on a conscious wizard
2) when magical energy assimilates into the magician's body it becomes unique and personal, and trying to transfer it to another body directly is foolish, it would be like poisoning someone
While I was analyzing this it occurred to me to try it with the hen, although yesterday I stabbed its leg, it should be alive.
the hen was still lying on the floor, I checked it and it is still alive
then I approach and take one of her legs and start to inject my magic energy
seconds later she also writhes in pain
which is bad for my experiments, I keep injecting energy into the hen to see what its reaction is as energy continues to enter its body.
after a few minutes, the hen dies.
As I think about what my options are, I think my priority is still trying to find out if energy can flow through the brain.
I may get more test subjects in the future, but I urgently need to strengthen myself and I have a feeling this will be crucial on my path to gaining power.

I think Morfin will be able to last about 20 minutes looking at the time that the hen suffered before dying
I return with Morfin and after 3 minutes injecting my energy I have already managed to gather a significant amount in his body, so it is time to try to cross the barrier.
I gathered all the energy in his chest and guided him up towards his head
while I feel how the energy moves slowly I am waiting for what the reaction will be
When the energy begins to force the barrier of his neck, the morphine body reacts violently, his arms and legs move from side to side without rest.
I keep guiding the energy to attack the barrier, after a few minutes I feel like the barrier begins to give way
After a while, while I continue to force the energy, Morfin's body begins to bleed from his eyes, his nose and his ears
It seems that there is not much time left and the barrier is still not penetrated.
I think that stopping at this point would be a mistake, Morfin will probably die from internal damage as well, so the most sensible thing is to continue and see if when breaking the barrier there is immediate death.
Little by little the barrier begins to give way until a small line of energy passes through, I focus my mind on that little speck of energy that rises to the brain.
when the energy was embedded in his brain his body reacted, although it did not seem very different from what was already happening, and it is possible that this is due to his body's rejection of my energy.
however I keep forcing the energy to crash into the barrier to confirm it
after a while the barrier collapses and energy begins to flow towards the head
but after the barrier is destroyed, Morfin's body appears to go into a state of great pain and after 1 minute he dies.
Seeing this I cannot help but frown, it seems that my ideas were not wrong, trying to force the barrier produces a great burden on the body and probably forces the person to be under inhuman pain.
Now the question is if I have the guarantees of survival if I tried now or should I wait to improve my body or look for some option or spell that could help me.
after thinking all morning, I think my body should be ready to face this challenge
I rely mainly on the 10 years of effort in meditation and strengthening my body due to energy
because it seems that magicians have no control over magical energy and only absorb passively, therefore its strengthening is very slow, contrary to mine because when I use meditation I have a great advantage

The Cyclical Nature of Time
A girl’s life ends unexpectedly early, or so it would seem. Instead of eternal nothingness, she wakes up in an empty valley with no clue how she got there. Taking her predicament in stride, she sets out to do something about it. Unfortunately for her, the first couple of people she meets aren’t much help. They claim they haven’t heard of electricity and dress as if they were on a break from their job at a Viking-themed amusement park. MC is a somewhat normal girl. She's pragmatic and not very angsty. The story is tagged with anti-hero, but to be clear, she is not a villain. She does good if she can, she just isn't morally motivated to do so. The story starts out smelling of fantasy but will eventually shift towards sci-fi. It contains some supernatural elements and has a strong lead, but it is not your usual power trip. Expect a story that takes its time, but not to the point where entire chapters are spent on mindless chit-chat. I’m not into that. This is my first serious attempt at writing and I've learnt a lot writing this. Unfortunately, that shows. Chapter 1-10 is slow and rather pointless. Things get better, but it is not until chapter 25 or so that I began understanding how to structure chapters and to make them support the larger story. I publish about 3000 words a week (every sunday) but I write about 10000 words a week. Sticking to that pace, which is easy, the last chapter will be out by July.
