《HP The Birth Of Darkness》Chapter 13

10 years after 1935
As I meditated in the darkness of my cell I heard footsteps approaching my direction.
After a while, I see who it is, jack the auror who brings the food to the prisoners.
Over the years we talked and got to know each other better.
Normally he hands me the food and leaves, sometimes when something interesting happens in the magical world he tells me and we talk for a while
But today was different, in addition to giving me the crap for lunch that he always brings, he handed me a letter.
As I receive the letter I see that it says Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
It seems that my ticket to leave has arrived, I've been waiting for it for 10 years
As I open the letter I thank Jack
"Thanks for bringing me the letter Jack, I was already getting bored with being locked up and eating the crap of food that you bring me"
"I already told you, Alexander, this is the food recommended by the chef in charge of the kitchen" replied Jack while shrugging his shoulders.
"Damn cook, he will be the first person to kill when he gets out of prison, 10 years eating the same garbage can drive anyone crazy"
As Jack was leaving he told me "boy you have to behave better, I had planned to come early to pick you up tomorrow, but change your mind, let you go at night, I'll ask the cook to prepare something special for you, hahaha"
I can keep hearing his laughter as he makes his way to the upper floors
Then I turn my attention to the letter.

Freshmen will need:

A pointy black hat for everyday wear.
A pair of protective gloves.
A winter coat.
Books:
xxxx
(for some magical reason I can't write the name of the books)

I was already getting bored with being locked up, I also think that being in prison was not friendly to my body development.
although I am quite tall for my 12 years because I must measure about 1.60, I am very skinny, I almost look like a skeleton.
leaving aside my physical appearance, these years of meditation have managed to strengthen my magical energy
Magic energy is the term as I have decided to name what my body absorbs
In 10 years, I went from the size of a finger to a thin line of magical energy that is connected by all my veins.
Even though this line is thin, as the magic energy reaches my whole body at the same time the absorption effect is better and more uniform.
It also keeps getting stronger and thicker over time.
I hope I can sleep tomorrow in a bed and in a place where it is silent
I was already going a little crazy, 10 years listening to screams every night has affected my sanity a bit
I wonder what became of my family the gaunts, my grandfather and uncle must have been released several years ago
It's a shame he wasn't there to look at Sorvolo's face when he found out my mother ran away to try and marry a muggle hahaha
Just thinking about the anger the old man must have had makes me laugh a lot
He asked me what would become of my mother, I seriously doubt that I can make that man fall in love unless he threatens him with some spell to be with her
but I don't think he can do anything with his little talent for magic and his withdrawn personality
After another spectacular night, the day came when I finally left this prison
When jack came with the food it seems that he did not lie when he said he would ask the cook for something special
I seriously doubt that that is even edible, it seems that today I will not eat ...
Before the dementors enter the tower, Jack returned
"Alexander it's time to leave, go back to freedom," he told me as he opened my cell
After I left my cell I asked him "and now what, where are you taking me?"
"First we will go to the ministry and then they will take you to your house or so I imagine" replied Jack
As we went down the tower he asked him "what day and month is it today?"
"Today is June 1, 1935, young man, I hope you learn from your confinement Alexander, I would prefer not to have to bring you more food again," Jack said to me as he touched my head
"Let's go quickly because it's almost dark and the dementors will enter the tower," said Jack nervously as he accelerated his steps
Seeing this I made fun of him as I followed him "Don't run Jack, come and I will introduce you to some friends, I have met a few these years, they are super friendly hahaha"
After leaving the tower I could feel that many dementors had their attention on me, but I did not pay much attention, although I cannot say the same about Jack, because he is trembling with fear
"I didn't think you were so afraid of dementors Jack," I told him
"Alexander, you don't understand, besides bringing the food, I'm the one who buries the dead, you don't know the number of bodies that have passed through my hands," he said while sighing
After walking for a while, we reached a boat that we used to reach a beach where there was a house nearby in the solitude of the plain.
this should be where the protractor is set up
When we got to the house there was a big fireplace and Jack used some powder while saying some words that he did not understand.
quickly the flames turned green as the fire turned intense
Then Jack grabbed me and we went through the fire.
We arrived at a room, it looks like a reception because there were some chairs and a young woman at a desk who quickly, seeing me, urged me to come closer.
I spoke with her for a while, she asks me routine questions, what is my name, how old am I, questions of that kind, it seems that they are looking at how disturbed the prisoners are when they regain their freedom.
After a while of chatting with the lady, she finishes the questions and according to Jack, Minister Fawley wanted to talk to me but it seems that she has an urgent meeting for security for the magical world that made her leave England in the morning.
So Jack is going to take me to Little Whinging so I can go home and rest.
When we leave the reception, we are in a large hall with many doors on both sides and many people walking on all sides.
Some look at me curiously, but in most I see fear ...
we walk down the hall and Jack quickly guides me to a door and inside there are many chimneys, after approaching a jack he takes the same dust that I used before and throws it into the chimney while saying Little Whinging
Before entering I ask him "what is that dust?"
"Flu powders, you need them to be able to travel to a place you know, just say the name of where you want to appear" replied jack
then we quickly entered the green flames and when I opened my eyes we were inside a house
"Alexander, up to here I can accompany you, I have a lot of work in the ministry and I must return, I hope you enjoy your freedom, take care of yourself," Jack said quickly.
Before I could say anything he got into the fireplace and left ...
after a few seconds looking at the fire, I sigh and turn to go.
while I go out I feel the noise in the fireplace and when I turn around I see Jack's head poking out of the fire while he tells me "there is money on the kitchen table you can take it if you need it" and he quickly left again.
I thought about sleeping in the house but the end, I discarded the idea, I don't know if someone lives here or if someone strange comes out through the chimney and a problem develops, I decide to leave the house quickly, but not before going to the kitchen to pick up the money.
then I see the streets of Little Whinging at twilight.
"It seems that a long walk awaits my home," I think

The Good Crash: An Oral History of the Post-Scarcity Collapse
"Don't we all feel, deep down, that we deserve the apocalypse?" APRIL, 2028—Global capitalism has collapsed. America has sealed itself off from the outside world, and inside its borders, a revolution rages. All it took was one incredible little machine. That machine turned into two, then four, then eight... like a virus, the replicators spread. As a work of oral history, The Good Crash features over 50 interviews with key witnesses to the events of 2027. The text is rendered in the words used by the interviewees themselves, with light editing for clarity and concision. As such, the book contains language and themes that are not appropriate for children.By capturing the voices to the people at the very root of the revolution, journalist and historian R. Vondersnitch has traced the origins and aftermath of the replicators' rapid spread. Crucially, the book also includes perspectives and testimony from those who attempted to stop the spread of the reps. "Some of these are heroes, too, in their own ways," the author writes in the book's introductory note.

The Oddity: The One Who Does Not Belong

During the great war, the magicless humans were nothing more than fodder, meat shields. Until one day, their powers awakened. After the war, with the ability to now wield, fire, water, earth, wind, or lightning, powerful magicians gathered to build a safe haven for humans, the Kaldora Empire. Before the humans had magic, other races prospered with it. But, within their midst, there were... oddities. People with an affinity for two elements. Each one leaving some sort of disaster in their wake. Each one, not quite fit for this world. A young boy's family, killed in an accident, only he and his sister survived the night. After that, they were split up, each taken in by a different relative. It has been eight years since the flames engulfed his home and most of his family. With his magic powers finally showing itself, he goes off to a magic academy to better learn about his newfound powers. But as he grows, something else does as well. The voice inside his head, the thing that influences his thoughts, the monster that he wish was gone, the devil inside his heart. This is a tale about connections. NOTE: The story will be slow for many of the chapters and the time will also match it, ex: goes by day by day. The time mostly will be used for introducing and adding to characters. It won't pick up until somewhere in the twenties but there will be action and events earlier on such as the missions. Just a fair warning. Order of Phantasmal Architects

Killing Roar: Part 2: Mortal Mewling
Part 2 - Mortal Mewling: Perry's been living his dream in the guard, fighting spike feeders, proving himself to be a valuable member of the community, but his many concerns linger, weighing him down with more questions and regrets. The strange event within the dungeon. The rise of the prey-movement. The critical mass of spike feeders looming around the corner. Things have been going wrong for Titan City, and it feels like they're only going to get worse. Can he help save what he's worked for or will it all fall to ruin? Part 1 - Killing Roar: When Perry was blessed with a platypus beast soul, he thought his chances of joining the village guard were over. No one had every heard of a platypus. It seemed like an obvious prey soul, given it wasn't in the village's records. Only the strongest could be part of the village guard. He thought that would never get the chance to defend the village from the spike feeders, the deadly creatures jutting out with hazardous spikes haphazardly all over. Only predator beast souls were given the requisite training and allowed to join the village guard. Perry just didn't meet their criteria. He was also wrong.Soon Perry will live out his wildest dreams and more, as he scales the rankings of beast soul mastery, fights innumerable dangerous spike feeders and solves mysteries related to the origin of beast souls and spike feeders. And maybe, just maybe, he'll even get to join the city guard. Genre-wise, Mortal Mewling is a GameLit story (light on the GameLit) focused on action and adventure. The Gore tag is there more as a precaution, rather than a promise to keep producing gory words. Mortal Mewling is a bit of a slow burn in terms of start, scale and capacity of the protagonist. Book 2... has now begun! Updates Monday and Thursday
