"Now then, want to have some fun?" Noel grinned towards Evan. He could only sigh looking at Noel and follows him somewhere. to a bar in an inn to be exact. Both od ordering a drink fitting their age.
"You Evan, I've been thinking- no never mind." Noel laughed. Evan frowned but then shook his head.
"Anyway, with your appearance. Girls surely fall for you?" Noel said with big smile.
"Really?"
"You....." Noel looks in disbelief.
"Are you not even recognize your own handsome face?"
"Uh.... Noel, if you said it like that. It's feels awful."
"Sorry, but it's the truth. Are you just thick or already get used with your face? Don't tell me you already slept with many girls."
"What? I'm still virgin! And why is everyone calling me thick." Evan sneered. He dislikes being called 'thick' but that word reminds of good and bad memories too.
"A virgin eh? You said it out loud too." Noel laughed.
Evan drink the milk he ordered and trying to forget the embarrassment.
"Say, Evan, why did you only brought three things?"
"Because i only need them. The sword is good and i think i can show the true might of it. The armguards are also excellent too."
"But you're lacking protection."
"As long as your enemy don't hit you. It will be fine."
Evan is speed oriented, he overwhelmed his opponent with speed rather with brute force.
"You're saying as if you won't get hit." Noel took a gulp on his drink.
"Yes, but it's not definite. There might be someone that able to hit me."
"Right.... above the sky there is another sky." Noel smiled.
Evan agreed with that. There is no mortal and not mortal beings which is perfect. They must have a flaw and Evan is like that. Even though he was an undead before, he had a flaw. That is his human's body and a heart for emotion. Then, as a human. Evan has a weak heart and a body that could bleed. But in exchange, he could feel the emotions of living.
"Enough about that. Did you see that girl?" Noel pointed towards a girl sit down not far from them.

The girl has black hair with blue eyes. She wore a brown robe that covered her body but her hands which covered by steel gloves are visible. A sign of sword also could be seen behind her robe. She is certainly not normal girl.
"She is quite beauty, right? But she is giving unapproachable aura." Noel whispered.
"So?"
"A girl like her is hard to conquer but it's challenging and could be prove to be lovely."
"Do you like a girl like her?" Evan asked with an eyebrow raised.
"Not really. I'm bad with that kind of girl. Anyway, why don't you go to her?"
"Noel.... she isn't normal girl you know that?"
"I know. But why don't you just get a handshake or something like that?"
Evan sighed, he does not wish to interact with girl just to introduce himself and then never met again. If is maintaining long friendship, then it's fine but....
"Come on, you can do it." Noel urged him.
"No, I won't."
"What?" Noel looks disappointed.
"At least go greet her. Who might though that she is a damsel in distress?"
"Then why don't you do it. A noble should fit category for the knight who save the damsel." Evan replied.
"No no no, I'm not a knight. Besides, being a knight doesn't mean to be noble by birth or something like that. It's need to have a brave and noble heart." Noel smiled.
Then, Evan who has a guilty and lonely heart wouldn't fit that category.
"Excuse me." Noel called the owner.
"Please let us pay what that girl ordered and say it that this man is the one who paid it all."
"What?" Evan shocked. Looking at his face, Noel couldn't help but laughing happily. The owner only nodded and then walks to the girl with what she ordered.
The owner spoke to the girl and glanced at Evan. The girl also glanced at Evan but then looking at what she ordered.
"Here, some money and good luck." Noel grinned and patted Evan's back then leave. Evan was about to shout but keep quiet.
Now he is alone. He often glanced at the girl and wish to leave but he doesn’t feel good about it.

'Argh! Just leave immediate-'
"Hello."
"Uwah!"
Evan got shocked and looking at the girl on her left. The black-haired girl which wore a brown robe. Her blue eyes just like sapphire.
"That is funny reaction." She giggled.
"I thought you would be a playboy? But seem like you're not or you just act?"
"N-no, the one who paid the bill was my friend."
"Oh? Are you backing off because you're shy? A man mustn’t backing off you know." She said the last sentence very slow. Evan gulped, this girl, back then she had an unapproachable aura but now it's different. Is she teasing Evan?
Evan calmed himself and sit normally.
"Wow, you calmed down quite fast. You must be brave man to invite a girl like me." She said with bit of surprise.
"No, it was my friend. He set me up."
"Blaming your friend? It's useless."
"Okay then." He sighed. He wondering if Noel is laughing right now. Somehow, he wants to punch him.
"I'm Evan, you?"
"Oreily Novister, it's quite nice to meet you playboy young man." She said with seducing tone.
"I'm not a playboy, forget that. Since we're talking. Let's talk something else. You don't live, here right?" Evan said.
"Yes, I'm a traveler. Do you live here?"
"No, I left my village and became a bodyguard."
"Bodyguard?" She looks bit disbelief.
"Your appearance doesn't suit it at all. I admit you have quite a muscle. But...."
"Forget that. You're not ordinary traveler, right? A girl traveling armed with weapon and armor."
"Right, I'm not ordinary one. Isn't it a surprise that we are open like this? You and i are strangers and we're talking like this. Perhaps we are entwined by fate?" She giggled.
"Maybe. Fate allows people to meet new people after all. Either it's short or long term."
"That is right. What do you think about our fate? Will it be short or long? Will we meet again in the future?"
Evan looking at her eyes. Eyes that filled with dark history. She isn't innocent girl. Evan hoped that they would meet again, but still in friendly terms. Fate is unexpected, a friend can become an enemy in instant just because of fate.
"Who knows? I'm not a clairvoyant."
"Hahaha, that is right. But i believe we shall meet again. Tell me, do you interested in an unapproachable girl like me?"
"Aren't you the one who approach me?"
"It's because you didn't make a move before, so I approached you first."
It's not Evan's will to meet her and that is why he don't want to approach her back them.
"No, I'm not interested."
"Why?" She frowned but also looks curious.
"I already had someone."
"Really? But your eyes-"
"Showing of loneliness?" Evan laughed. He is indeed too predictable. He already had someone he loves back then. But she already long gone and that also one of the reason he became an undead. Being an undead, he couldn't revive his loved one because he couldn't love her that way.
"How old are you?" She asked.
"Sixteen, why?"
"So young! But your face is quite old. Well, that's too bad. If you around eighteen, i might accompany you for a while. But if you become eighteen years old, you might become more handsome."
"Really...."
"You don't seem to please by it?"
"Well, handsome face or not. As long as the heart is rotten, the other parts will be rotten." Evan said with smile.
Oreily caught in surprise, she unconsciously touched her chest and smiled then stood.
"Evan. If you go to Carbiz kingdom, go to the capital and call the royal court with 'When the moon descends, the sun shall ascend'."
"What?"
"Just do it when you go to Carbiz kingdom. If you do that, you will become a special guest in my name."
"So you are an important person. The princess who ran away?" Evan chuckled with Oreily.
"Good joke, but I'm not a princess. If you want to know. Go find my name, you surely will now." She winked and then walks away.
"Thank you Evan! It's a good talk with you. You're right, as long as the heart isn't rotten." She said before leaving the inn.
Evan smiled and then staring down and sighed.
