Chapter 1: Courier
From that day, ten years have passed and the 5 year old boy, who was left without a home, had now grown up to be a teenager in another family. The things that happened that day, left a huge scar on him. Although he was physically fine, he did not have the same mentality as a normal 15 year old should.
Seeing his father killed in front of him was bad enough but men on the front lines, who had not had a woman in a long time, did things to his mother in front of him, that no 5 year old should see. All in all, he had grown up like a normal youth if you don't include the fact that, he is a war orphan, who has witnessed slaughter of his friends and family.
Currently that youth was riding a bike on a highway, on his back was a black backpack. He was wearing black trousers with a black jacket and a black helmet. On his hands were black gloves made especially for riding the bike. The bike was also black but it had red tribal tattoo like paintings on it.
As he was riding on the highway, his speed was way over the limit as a black sedan was chasing after it. The youth looked back and as he saw that he had not lost the car chasing him. “Che.” was the only thing he said as he saw the car. With his left hand he clicked at the side of his helmet and at the right upper corner of his screen, a ringing phone.
The phone rung for a minute before a ladies voice could be heard, “Hello, this is the Sleeping Panda hotel, may I help you?” The youth just said as he accelerated, “Yea, my name is Hiroshi Noga, I'd like to reschedule my reservation for the penthouse suite.” The voice that sounded out next was not the lady who was speaking before. “Hello, this is the manager of Sleeping Panda and I would like to ask why you would like to reschedule your reservation?” The voice that asked it, was clearly an old mans.
Remy just answered, “I would like to reschedule due to having an unexpected delay in my schedule as I move along the Easton highway.” The “manager” just told him again, “We understand, we hope you have safe trip and we will hold the reservation as we send out baggage boys to greet you.” With that the call ended.
Remy looked over his shoulder again and let out a sigh as he mumbled to himself, “For the love of god, this is not a frigging normal package. This is the 7th car that has been following me since I started the trip.” He again glanced at the GPS that was in the top left corner of his screen and sighed again, when he saw that he still had 79km left until he reached his destination and he could say good bye to this god damn package.

He threaded between cars as he hoped to lose the black sedan that was following him. He accelerated again and now he was going 150km/h, the speed limit for this highway was 120km/h. Even after 15 minutes of threading, he couldn't lose the car behind him. As he sped along the highway, he caught a little flash from the corner of his eye. He let out a breath of relief as he thought to himself, “Finally, the snipers are here.”
Just like on cue, the car that was following him, suddenly lost control as it's front tires were shot. Remy let out a smug smile as he glanced back and accelerated a bit more. After 10 minutes had passed, he turned off from the highway and headed down a lonely road. After 5 minutes of snake like turns, he reached a fence. He took of his helmet and looked into the security camera. He still had his blue eyes and blonde hair but now there was also a scar just under his right eye.
He had gotten it on one of his delivery jobs. 1 minute passed as he looked into the camera and the fence gate started opening. From the other side of the gate, two soldiers stepped out as they nodded to him to move on. Remy put his helmet back on and rode on.
He rode for a while before reaching a big laboratory. In front of the laboratories door was a squad of 20 soldiers with about 10 scientists. In front of them was middle aged man, with a wrinkled face but a built body. He was quite tall and had brown hair. He had a huge grin on his face as he saw Remy pull up in front of him. He measured him for a bit before saying, “Hey, you have grown again. Soon you might reach my height. Anyways, good job on delivering the package.” Remy took off his helmet and all of the people present had astonishment on their faces. They had never expected the legendary “Courier” to only be a youth.
Remy frowned as he looked at the man who seemed to be in charge and said, “And you've grown even older. What the hell did you have me bring to you this time? Amongst those bastard were idiots who had the balls to shoot a fucking RPG at me! I had to call in a lot of favours from previous jobs to get here in one frigging piece.” The man just laughed and patted him on the shoulder, “Well, it is a piece of extremely valuable technology to complete something that will give our alliance a big advantage against the other 3 major powers.”

As his words sounded out, one of the scientists present quickly said to the Captain in a scolding tone, “That is classified information! What the hell do you think you are saying to some random courier?” Captain looked at the scientist coldly as he said in a calm, cold voice, “This guy had to expend a lot of personal resources to help you clean up after your fucking mistake. He also nearly got killed for it, he deserves to know why. If you have a problem with me saying, why he almost got killed, then the next time you can go get the parts you destroyed by your incompetence by yourself.”
When the man heard that, he instantly shut up as he knew, this madman would seriously send him by himself next time. He shrinked back to where he was before and the Captain looked at Remy before saying, “Sorry about that. Mind giving me the goods now?”
Remy just shook his head and removed his backpack as he said, “You have not changed a bit since I first met you ten years ago in that hell. Here, one piece of valuable technology unharmed.” He removed a small metal box from inside his backpack and another scientist walked up and took the box. The scientist had black hair and a skinny body. Under his green eyes were black bags, why suggested that he had not gotten enough sleep lately.
He inserted some special magnetic card to a slot and punched in a code to make the box open. As the box opened, the scientist examined its contents before nodding to the captain and saying, “This is definitely the goods and it has not been damaged in the least.” The Captain nodded and signaled for the scientists and soldiers to carry it inside. As the piece of technology was taken inside, there were only three people left outside: Remy, the Captain and the scientist who opened the box.
The scientist sized up Remy and said, “You seriously have grown in the year I haven't seen you. Have you been well?” Remy smiled to the man and said, “Yea, I've been well. Seems like you have gotten yourself another puppy who doesn't know his limits.” The man gave a wry smile as he said, “Well yea, he has a good head but with being good at something comes arrogance. Just because he has a bit more skill he thinks his the best and looks everyone else with contempt. He is a lot more docile now than he was when he first came here though.”
Remy just let out a hollow laugh and exchanged a few more pleasantries with the two before saying, “It was nice seeing you two old ghosts again but I got to head back now. Even if I speed all the way, I will make it back barely in time.”
The two exchanged a confused glance before the Captain said, “Ohh yea, you are going to be a high schooler now. If you need help with homework, don't be afraid to give this guy a call to help you.” As he said that, he patted the scientist on his shoulder.
The man let out a hearty laugh and asked with an apologetic face, “How about those dreams? Do you still see them?” Remy's face also changed as he cast his gaze down and answered, “Yea, at least once a week, hell like that is not something I can just forget.” The two men looked at him with a tinge of pity in their eyes as Remy put his helmet back on and started his bike again.
“Well I'll see you two again sometime, also don't forget to wire me the fee for the delivery.” Remy said as he gave the two a final look. The two laughed for a second before saying, “Don't worry, when have we bailed on the bill before? Also have a safe trip back.” They waved at him as Remy started heading back.
When he had left, the two men were still standing there. The Captain just let out a deep sigh before saying, “Even though he doesn't look as cold as he was when Alex picked him up but underneath his facade he is still deeply scarred.” The scientist also nodded as he gazed Remy's back, “It would be weird if he wasn't. That child has seen hell and had his world torn up and turned upside down in a single day. But he smiled a lot more lately and he communicates better.” When Remy had disappeared from their sight they turned around and headed inside the building as well.

I am going to try to improve. Also, I am currently in University so there are times where I might be gone for an extended period of time and other times where I am quite free and able to write chapters.
