《Legend Of Kaiser》Chapter 2: Rauber Clan

North of the market there was a large group of people gathered around the area where Leon heard the scream.
“Saffire, what’s going on?”
Saffire was very skilled in the Wind element so she had learnt a special technique which allowed her to detect information from energy fluctuations this made her very skilled in gathering information: “It seems that two individuals have come to cause a disturbance.”
“Hm… they’ve come to our territory to cause a disturbance, let’s go greet them.”
As Leon and Saffire crossed the market they saw a large cluster of people, they slowly passed through them to the front of the crowd. Leon saw a member of the Kaiser clan guards, he looked like he was in his late twenties or early thirties, bloodied and bruised and his clothes torn to shreds.
“The guards of the Kaiser clan are such weakling, they can’t even defend against a simple bout in swordplay with a junior.” the stranger retorted arrogantly looking down on the young guard. This young teen looked like he was only 13 years old, however his actions were arrogant and decisive.
“stop Kline…. this guard isn’t worth much, you are dirtying your hands, leave him be.” the man next to him spoke coldly, this man looked a bit younger than the man called Kline, he was dressed simply but carried a faint cold aura around him
“Yes Master Ed!”
Leon noticed that both of them wore the insignia of the Rauber Clan, Why is the Rauber Clan here? Leon thought to himself. The Rauber clan were born from a bandit that decided to settle in the city of origins, on top of that it had become an extremely powerful force that were extremely hostile towards the Kaiser clan.
The guard looked up arousing from his dazed state and looked up at Leon and seemed to have realised who he was.
“Young Lord, please leave these men are extremely powerful, they have reached the awaken state,” pleaded the young guard staring at Leon troubled by his appearance rather than his own injuries.

Leon and Saffire moved forward and took a look at the young man, his injuries were deeper and far more serious than what he had first expected, he was pale due to the blood seeping out of him dyeing his torn white uniform red .
“Saffire take care of him and quickly call upon more guards,” Leon said while looking ahead staring at the two in front.
As soon as Leon spoke the 2 men stared at him with features that showed they were very displeased with his actions, because they had been mucking about in the Kaiser Clan’s territory they were about to be troubled by the guards.
Kline looked at Leon and seemed to have realised something: “Ah, isn’t this kid the Young Lord of the Kaiser clan. Master let me play around with him for a bit… I’ve heard that he trains in sword play, I want to see if his ability is any good or not since he is the son of Izak.” He spoke with a gleam of arrogance in his eyes as he smirked.
Ed simply nodded his approval.
Leon noticed that Kline even though was extremely haughty he still remembered to behave in front of the youngster he called ‘Master’ seeming as if that young man called Ed had a high position in the Rauber Clan.
“Guess that’s a yes then. Kid let me see your ability,” He said joyously.
“Saffire quickly call the guards while I try to stall him,” said Leon. This guy is too arrogant, I’ll have to hold out, I don’t have the ability to face him.
Kline stuck out his hand and suddenly a sword appeared which he immediately grabbed, it was a double edged sword and had a sinister black aura surrounding it. Leon immediately drew his blade from its sheath with haste preparing for the worst as he directed the blade at Kline.
“You’re very cautious, it’s only a simple spar.” Kline said helplessly while staring at Leon as if he was sizing up his sparring partner.

“Let’s start then” Leon uttered.
Leon instantly ran straight at him and went straight for a stab, however Kline watched Leon closing down on him and simply jumped with incredible ease as if it was nothing and then with a smirk he slashed down with the momentum he had as he was descending, Leon raised his blade to prevent Kline’s sword from maiming him.
The force of Kline’s sword was extremely heavy, smashing into Leon’s sword like a hammer which caused Leon to immediately let go of the sword because he had lost all feeling in his hand as it numbed. His sword didn’t stop it tore through Leon’s clothes and carved a straight wound down from his left shoulder to his stomach.
“AAAAARRRGGGH!!!!” Leon bellowed in pain as blood soaked his shredded clothes, the surrounding people felt horrified at Kline’s actions, Kline had just attacked a young 8 year old and not just any 8 year old this was Izak’s son, the future head of the Kaiser clan.
The people stared at Leon with pity, however on the other hand Saffire felt extremely distressed hoping that the guards could arrive much faster.
“HAHAHAHA!! You’re weak. You may be stronger than the average person because you survived that attack, but you’re nothing to an Awakened like me.” Kline Laughed haughtily while looking down at Leon, this was a right that the strong have, but it was extremely frustrating for Leon, “I don’t know why you still haven’t used your Vision but I’ll warn you now, if you don’t activate it you’re going to be crippled for the rest of your life because of my next attack.” Kline warned.
Leon was now petrified, he shrivelled backwards there was no one strong enough to help me in this dire situation, so Leon spoke hesitantly: “I don’t have a Vision.”
Vision was an ability that everyone had a chance to gain, like: controlling elements, gaining spirit weapons and getting innate abilities however a person needs to have the ability to absorb Natural Energy to manifest their own Vision which can be used constantly, however the average person would be able to use a Vision for simple uses because they didn’t have the ability to surpass the first few ranks of the Awakened state.
Leon was born without the ability to absorb Natural energy into his body, he was different he had no affinity with the energy and would never be able to use it. To think I would die like this. Why was I born without a Vision? Leon thought to himself helplessly, tears started forming on his eyes.
“Hm, no Vision… I expected more from Izak’s son. The Kaiser clan will fall with such a worthless trash as the young master…” Kline shook his head with disdain, “I’ll explain this to you now: Your clans glory days have gone and now your all WEAK. Noah is gone forever, you have no hope of revival while the Rauber clan will constantly rise in power.” Kline spoke with arrogance and pride.
“Well then I guess you die here” he said anti-climatically.
“Prison Arts: Dark Edge“, A dark menacing aura surrounded his sword as he cut horizontally at Leon, the sword attack had an extremely ferocious attack power, a slash arced through the air at Leon. It struck Leon’s chest sending him flying like a bird that had its wings clipped.
Leon slammed onto the floor, he felt an extremely agonising sense of pain, he was hurting all over wishing that the pain would disappear. Slowly his vision blurred, he could still feel drops of tears forming and everything gradually receded into darkness. The last thing he heard was Saffire’s screams.

Doctored Chance: The Unpleasant Preceding of "Pajama Boy" and What Drove Him to Murder
I, Mick Chadwick, regret to inform my readers that this memoir contains nothing but the truth, which in the case of Tobias MacClain, most ridiculed as Pajama Boy, is far from pleasant. If you seek to relate to a hero more than to aspire to them and have the stomach for unpleasant things such as a hero left for dead, villainous scars, bomb threats, and murderous intent, then look no further. All of these gruesome things and more await from my research, and though I do not wish them on any man or woman, I cannot bear this burden on my own much longer. In the words of Tobias MacClain himself, "Sometimes, a villainous act can cause the greatest good." I hope that all my villainous acts of sneaking, blackmailing, diary-reading, and grave-digging, among others, will be redeemed as I present this complete and truthful memoir to the world, and with any luck, open eyes to the truth of what we call "villainy". Doctored Chance: The Unpleasant Preceding of "Pajama Boy" and What Drove Him to Murder ********* MATURE FILTER IS FOR:- violence- graphic imagery (blood, burns, fairly dark headspaces)- cartoon depiction of burn scars for visual aid Despite graphics, Mick Chadwick's writing keeps Mr. MacClain's terrible tale light somehow. This is foremostly a comedy.

DISCLAIMER: The characters in this story are inspired by the background of the Warhammer 40,000 intellectual property that belongs to Games Workshop Ltd. This is fan fiction, and no challenge to their ownership rights is intended. Goge Vandire is a name written in to the annals of Imperial history in blood. Often literally. No single mortal has commanded authority on the scale at which he exercised it at his height. His name is as synonymous with unspeakable evil as that of the Warmaster, Horus himself. And yet he was just a man. Where did such a man come from? What drove him to the steps he took to secure power to himself and, once he had it, how did he come to misuse it so grievously? I have scoured the records - many of them once thought lost or placed under the unbreakable seal of the Inquisition - to uncover his forgotten story, piecing together his childhood, his apprenticeship, his rise to power and his descent into madness and death. It is not the story you might expect...
