《Let's Form a Party to Kill God》Eliza

Kynos was relocated from the primary school male dorms to the university researcher apartments. He had taken over a recently departed mage's living space, free due to his scholarship. That particular mage was off in Ailize, warring with the pirate confederation.
His new home came with several amenities, including a modest kitchenette and an extra room which the previous owner stocked with books and had been using for research. He also gained access to the public baths, magic practice arenas, and other facilities as part of the deal.
As he had skipped secondary school, which taught advanced subjects and honed magic control, he was now part of the college, which taught specializations and functioned as the apparatus that carried out the will of the mage's council. Kynos dropped off his meager belongings and headed off to meet his new mentor.
Her name was Eliza, titled the Root of Life, and she held sway over the growth and decay of all living things. One of the more powerful casters in the world, she took the eighth seat of the nine-person council and is one of the leaders of Incanta. She was a few years the senior of Roland and Charlotte, fellow mages she met at university, but looked like a younggirl, no older than Kynos.
She greeted Kynos as he walked into her study.
“Well hey there, you must be Kynos?”
Kynos nodded, giving a quick dip of his head in courtesy as Mith had taught him.
“A quiet one? We'll see what I can do about that.”
Kynos, in a burst of effort, gave a quick, “Pleased to meet you.” Eliza motioned for him to take a seat, and continued.
“You're lucky. I'm so damn busy these days, but I owe Mithandra and that underclassman. He used to be so cute, but now he's just a pompous dick.

Well, I can't do shadow magic, but trust me, I can teach you plenty. Also...”
Kynos tensed up out of habit as he sensed the door opening behind him.
“...you will be training along with my daughter~~ have a seat and introduce yourself honey!”
A slightly-gloomy looking young girl, with light green hair and her mother's dark green eyes, looking around the same age as Kynos, walked in and sat shyly in the chair next to him.
“P..pp...pleased to meet you,” she stammered in a quiet voice, “I'm Elise, a life mage like mother.”

Recruit - An Infinite Labyrinth prequel
A prequel to The Infinite Labyrinth. The year is 1816. The British Empire is in full swing, under the auspices of King George III. The Infinite Labyrinth has been pouring out its product from beyond our reality and fostered a new industrial revolution. Times are changing, and the people of London are feeling the winds of the revolution while British Professionals push into the Labyrinth. The newly formed Artefact Hunting Company is looking for recruits, and they have new technology to help them. From the slums of London, they aim to recruit a new wave of Professionals. And make Zacharias and the Earl of Carnavon lots of money. So, for Rowan Rivers and a handful of lucky ones, it's time to head into the Labyrinth, and discover what makes it different from England. And what makes THEM different? Recruit is a bunch of chapters I wrote to create to the setting, mood, and game systems of the Infinite Labyrinth. It is NOT a complete story in the classic sense. It's more of a slice of life view of early days of a normal Professional from the Infinite Labyrinth, and it's heavy on info-dump. It's 90% canon - there's probably a bit of a difference between how some characters and common behaviour are portrayed here and how they'll come out in the main story. Set two years before the events that kick-start the main series, it features some of the secondary/peripheral characters of the Infinite Labyrinth and will tell you all about the basic mechanics of the Labyrinth's RPG system. It can be considered a spoiler, as the characters in the Infinite Labyrinth are going to need to figure out all that, on their own. But if you like a much deeper exposition in the mechanics, here it is. The entire prequel is about 80 pages long.

Every few decades, The Game occurs. Rewards are abundant, power is generously given, and a future is possible to all, from the lowly urchin to the Emperor. That is, at least, what the denizens of this world believe it to be as they prepare from one calamity to the other, fostering power and knowledge. Creating guilds and countries; all for the purpose of winning. Nilbog, battered and beat, wants nothing of it. Kara craves for it all. In the process of a re-write. I advise against reading any of this yet.
