《Let's Form a Party to Kill God》Himi

After a while, the mostly naked girl warily crawled out of the crevice between the rocks.

Mith pointed to herself. “Mithandra. Mithandra Lenas.” The girl repeated a bit hesitantly, “Mee...Mitan...Mitanna Lena?”

Mith pointed at Kynos. “Kynos.” The girl obediently replied, “Kaino.”

“Oh well, it's better than nothing.” Mith leaned forward and pointed at the girl, “so, who are you?”

The girl, looking a year or two younger than they were, proudly thrust out her non-existent chest, pointed at herself, and said, “Himi!”

After going through a good amount of trial and error, a lunch break of roasted giant crab, which Kynos had to pry apart with his shadow magic, and a lot of drawing in the sand with a stick, Mith managed to figure out that Himi was a local, that she had come to play and ended up having to hide from giant crabs, and that he village was nearby.

After securing the boat wreckage firmly against the rocks, the two followed Himi to her tribe.

They pushed their way through the foliage, following the excited cheering of “Mitan! Kaino!” and finally reached the other side of the island. The village was build half on a large mesa jutting out into the ocean, and half inland, where the villagers had cleared a good amount of shrubbery.

Small shacks made of leaves, wood, and vines dotted the area, and a larger hut made of rocks stood alone in the center of an outcropping. A small dirt path lead down to the beach beside the rock, where there was a few crude rafts of varying sizes being pulled out of the water. Women were busy making what looked like a communal dinner, while men returned with vine nets full of fish. A few children kicked around with a ball made from vines, leaves, and twigs.

All work stopped as Himi led Kynos and Mithandra into the village. Given the mostly naked conditions of almost all of the villagers, the two stuck out like sore thumbs with their battered but mostly intact school uniforms.

Kynos was feeling a bit apprehensive, but Mith boldly walked into the center of the village and tossed a giant crab leg segment she had been using as a cane onto the ground. With the sheath of her broken rapier, she drew an arrow back the way they had come and a picture of three crabs in the dirt. Himi had also pulled aside an elderly man and was speaking to him animatedly.

The entire village mobilized immediately. Three crude sledges made of wooden logs and bound by vines were dragged out by seven men and four women, as Himi, Mith, and Kynos lead them back to the area where the three crabs had been killed. Birds were already pecking at the remains, and scattered from the yelling of the villagers as they neared. The children had only been able to eat three legs earlier, one per person, and there was a lot of crab left.

Kynos and Mith were made to sit on top of two of the crabs as they were dragged back to the village, with Himi occupying the third one.
