《Eskion -god of all》The demon of the void

It was a sombre moment for all of the planet Maveron. It's inhabitants held their breaths as one as the sun retreated after seemingly unending hours and took to the streets jubilating at the long deserved break, more relieved than anything else, all except the two that now worked within the ruins of the castle that stood at the end of the world, for all it's former glory it was in ruins, almost looking like a stack of building blocks had toppled over. In the courtroom, a man stood with pursed lips as he worked, his protege had wondered off to make sure there were no more hidden threats lurking in the castle.
The man worked slowly yet meticulously, feeling across the planets for atoms belonging to the queen, he pulled them to the castle and put them back together, reconstructing the fallen queen cell by cell.
A few hours later, he felt his work complete and a quirky smile graced his lips, he snapped his fingers and Jade green eyes slowly opened to hold his gaze, lips tight, forming a scowl.
"You…" The queen started
"Come now; is that the thanks I receive" the man smiled amused
The queen stepped backwards, and let her eyes roam about, scanning the room; it fell begrudgingly on her former hosts head, eyes staring wide eyed at the ceiling, the queen tore her eyes away from the eyesore and went around the room
"I assume this was your doing" She turned to the man who's yellow eyes gleamed
"It was a shame" the man said, no ill-will evident in his voice
"Become dust" the queen hissed
"I'm hurt. After billions of years and you treat me like a stranger" the man said calmly
"What have you done to me?" The godqueen scowled
"It took you a while to notice" the man smirked "If you take something apart and put it back together, removing or adding the tiniest component, it drastically changes it's functions - becomes a new thing"

"What. Did. You. Do?" The queen asked eyes blazing
"You were careless enough, to be killed so easily" the man paused then continued "Did you think you had more time? When I put you back together, I changed a few things"
"What things?"
"For one your essence" the man stated and the Queen's eyes widened
"It was mine by right and you weren't exactly doing anything productive with it" the man shrugged
"Ruben…" the queen hissed a warning
"By toying with your configuration, you are my creature now" the man stated
"You can't do that" the queen said
"I just did" the man said in a matter of fact manner "tell me sister, if you could… would you have bound me again? returned me to my prison? or perhaps even killed me?" The man raised a brow
"What does it matter" the queen returned coldly
"I used to hate being the same height as you" the man started towards the queen, stopping just inches away "I was right. Being taller is far better" he said and pressed a kiss to her forehead
"Are you still that petty?" The queen glanced up at him
She shuddered as a draft swept through the shell of the castle
"Here" the man shrugged off his robes and threw it around his sister
"Was it you who - " the queen started then paused
"Do not worry. Your five still live. Half of them anyway" Ruben muttered, saying the last part so softly it might not have even been said
"You've already doomed them to die" the queen whispered softly
"Don't be so grim, that's always been my " her
"Is this a joke then, is it funny?" The queen glared
"Moderately" the man answered then furrowed his brows " why did you not kill the boy?" He asked

"Not everyone kills as easily as you do" the queen replied
"Was it because you sensed my essence, did he remind you of me?" Ruben smirked
"Of course not. I-" the queen paused
Ruben turned to see what had stolen her voice, his protege stood at the door
"Sister, this is Reniel" Ruben motioned to the boy
"Another stray. Have you not learned your lesson" queen Maveron turned to her brother
"Maveron, don't be like that… I remember a stray of your own that followed you every where you went, don't tell me…" Ruben trailed off
"Don't tell me he's dead?" he finished
"He's not dead" the queen said through barred teeth
"Wonderful" Ruben said revealing no emotion "I'd advice you find him immediately" he said before turning to his protege "start preparations for a dimension gate" he commanded
"Master" the boy acknowledged and was gone
"It's estimated I can gather all your essence from this desolate rock in two hours" Ruben said
"You'd have to raze the entire planet" the queen said sullenly
"An unfortunate situation" Ruben returned coldly
Does it not bother you - that you're going to destroy entire species, an entire planet?" the queen asked
"No… I'm simply taking what is mine and anything and anyone that stands in my way, I will destroy" Ruben said bemused
"Why do you need my essence, you have twice the amount I do" the queen pressed
"The only way they could even dream of fighting levelly with me was to scatter my essence." Ruben said irked
"…" The queen said nothing
"When I do take it all back. They will all suffer" he said and the queen shuddered
"Now sister, I have quite the task ahead of me. If you would be so kind as to excuse me" Ruben waved the queen off
Maveron glared as her brother shut his eyes in concentration and turned to storm out of the room. She stopped short of the door when her eyes fell on a sword that within arms reach.
"You could kill me now. I'd allow it"
The queen turned to find her brother who watched her curiously
"I'm willing to put the fate of your world in your hands, the fate of the void even, if you'd run me through" he said "I used to wonder, if you could go back, would you once again choose them over me"
"…I missed you" the former queen muttered and exited the room
"Hn" The demon of the void returned

Other Tales of En
Welcome to The Other Tales of En, a place where I put short stories that didn't get to be told in the main series. These are scenes and tales of characters I just had to have more of, moments I needed to see, and self-indulgent interactions. I hope you love them as much as I do! Chapters are labelled with initials of the Tale first and have notes for their beginning and end. Any chance of spoilers are listed for each tale below as well as their initials. TABLE OF CONTENTS Tale 1: Taff and Adon (T&A) The tale of when Taff and Adon first met. Slight spoilers for Starchild but not really, let's just say Adon's version of the story in Stormspeaker wasn't *quite* accurate ;) Tale 2: Vai and Echa (V&E) The tale of the meeting everyone tried to prevent. It was bound to happen and this is how it went. Spoilers for Children of the Bear, particularly Fiona's Tale, I recommend reading when you are finished with that series. Tale 3 [IN PROGRESS]: Echa and Tryst (E&T) The tale of how the cowardly pirate and the bitter slave fell in love.

Duality of a Soul
In the land of magic and demons, knights and forgotten ancient technologies. What would you do if you were to wake up one day amidst all of this without your memories? Will you do everything you can to get them back to be who you were, or leave the past behind and begin anew? Follow along with our main character as he struggles to establish his new identity while the shadows of his past threaten to consume him. To be a detested hero or celebrated villain? Only time will tell. Author’s Note: Heavily influenced by fantasy goodness far and wide, I hope to make it somewhat original with a sense of familiarity to you. The overall story is pieced together through the perspective of the characters presented, first + third person narrative styles because I enjoy reading novels with similar storytelling. Please feel free to provide any comments and constructive criticisms for me because I love to read what you think so I can continue to improve on my imperfections and make the story better. Cheers!
