《Eskion -god of all》Stuck down on lesk

The girl stays on the far far side of the room, refusing to even look at me, do I blame her? Nah, I'd be scared of me too if I was in her position or would I? The slop was actually not that bad, we repeated this scheduled for a few more days, she hardly talked, I hadn't heard from Leila so I was worried, I had talked to the old man a few more times, I had decided my friends were more important than whatever the fuck I was trying to do, I tried to heal myself, didn't work out so well, actually made shit worse, what was going on was I out of ... No way, it couldn't be happening now when I was needed the most, after a while I had actually made an effort to talk to her and it was paying off, she was kind of more free with me, the girl that is... We talked about silly things sometimes the weather sometimes the random bird that was perched on my window will, there was no way I was in a dessert, fucking annoying, I had no idea where I was, I was about to be dragged into some shit I had no idea about because of some prophecy
"Hey, what's this prophecy about anyway?" I had asked when she came in with dinner one day
"The boy who fell from the sky?" She had pursed her lips at first
"Yeah, seems like a really big deal"
"I shouldn't be talking about that"
"Come on"
"Its a tale of a boy who couldn't remember his past, a boy with mystical powers, a boy who was meant to defy the gods..."
A bird perched on my window and cawed staring at us intently
"A boy who was meant to defy the gods?"

"I really shouldn't be talking about it, I'm sorry" she looked away and refused to say more
"You can't give me that and then refuse to tell me more"
"I'm sorry" she said and ran
"Hey wait, was it something I said!!"
"I want to call her back but I didn't know her name" i mutter
So instead I ate quietly, another girl came to get the trey
"Where's the other girl?"
"Busy" this girl answer me curtly, spitefully
"Did I do something to you, maybe kill your cat or something?" I joke
"Esk killed my mother" she answers calmly and I almost choke
"Oh I'm sorry... I didn't ..."
"Save it" she interrupts me
'How the fuck was I supposed to know, what do I say now, she clearly doesn't want my pity'
"Melrose sayse you're not that bad but I doubt it, you're all the same"
'Melrose huh'
"I'm different"
"How?"
" uhm I can't tell you that"
"Everyone wants to think they're different, but it doesn't defeat the truth"
"I promise, I'm not your regular esk, I actually think my creat- the esk could tone down the violence a bit"
She turns to stare at me
"I'm eskion..."
"I don't care " she calmly intones
"Ouch sting" I hand over the trey and smile
"You can't be brooding all the time, I know that I can't make up for the loss of your uhm mother but I could try"
"Don't bother" she turns and walks away while I wonder where I went wrong, they no longer tied me up and I was recovering quickly
"Well forgive me for feeling responsible for the death of your mother" I mutter then walk over to the window, the moon is bright, kinda like the one back on earth , I can vaguely remember it but bigger and with a purplish tint

There are other buildings, not that good but manageable, kids run around chasing each other a bit to the right there is a small gathering of men and people walk about chatting with each other animatedly, once in a while violence breaks out but it doesn't last long, the victor gets the spoils, fights to the death, I was tight, humans are fucking monsters but then again aren't we all...
"Eskion can you hear me?"
"Leila?"
"I got your transmission, where are you?"
"Down in lesk"
"What are you doing there"
"I fell?"
"Damnit"
"Everything okay?"
"I can't come and get you"
"Oh, no problem"
"You're okay with that"
"Yeah, its not great but I'll manage"
"Thanks there's just so much going on right now"
"Wanna talk about it"
"Yeah, thanks"
"Hey, I got you, Kay?"
"Yeah"
I drop into my bed and smile
"so what happened? "

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

My Isekai
For those not familiar with the isekai genera, this story is about a man waking up in an unknown world. The story follows his journey and life in this world, which does not only look different on the surface, but the common norms and values of this world are very alien to the modern western mindset. How will this average western person respond to such a world, and how will it change him. For those familiar with isekai, this is a western take on a predominantly Japanese story format. It draws a lot of inspiration from Japanese isekai, but it also tries to tackle a lot of tropes that might be annoying to the western mindset. The story is not written for young boys as the story tries to take a mature take on some typical clichés and assumptions made by both the typical writer and reader of the genera.
