Gaia woke up screaming, pain vibrating through every part of her being and exploding beyond. A flash of memory flies by like lightning. An ancient evil binding and constricting until nothing exists but a slow build up of pressure, a pain with no release. Then the agony, the explosion, conscience slowly returning and expanding to the surface.

A civilisation covering her land mass, people screaming in indescribable pain, energy pent up for far too long coursing through their bodies and minds, ripping, changing. Animals and plants rippling, growing, mutating. Pulling in essence and converting it, using it, becoming all they can be.

People dying. Being torn apart and devoured by creatures forgotten to time, creatures that humans believed to live only in the realms of fantasy and fiction using human and animal bodies to burst into life.

A mother, with her young child walking straight into danger, a creature just beginning to form. The realisation and fear in this woman's mind as she pleads for a way to save her child. The feeling of motherhood, a bond that all races and species share. The desire to save this child.
