'Shit!'

As soon as they seen me they immediately started running towards my direction. I was instantly startle because they were moving at frightening speed

“Damn... Erza we have nowhere to go, if we go into the forest we might come across demonic beasts"(Zain)

"I would rather have you take a chance in the forest instead of out here!'(Erza)

"Ok... what do I do once we get into the forest"(Zain)

"Climb the trees "(Erza)

Running towards the forest I stop at my house and grab the triad transformation rod and left, taking a little less than a minute I arrive at the forest, I did what I was instructed and swiftly climb up a tree. Since the trees was so close together it wasn't difficult to glide from tree to tree. Gliding from tree to tree just like a flying squirrel gliding from tree to tree. Moving forward with my best speed as my long white hair flow with the wind.

Going further and further into the forest I hear can the sound of the ghouls fainting as the distance grow between us. "Erza, How come I don't see any beasts," I ask curiously, Because according to the goddess Thela this Island should be filled with demonic beast but I am already far inside the forest but I don't hear or see any beast.

"They probably hiding from those ghouls"(Erza)

"Why would they be hiding?"(Zain)

"What does the ghouls eat if they aren't any humans left in the world? They chose alternatives to replace the need for humans, so I guess they eat the demonic beasts"(Erza)

"That make sense but how come S rank beast and above is afraid of those things"(Zain)

" That is because an average ghoul is around S rank but these ghouls seem to be a bit abnormal and have an aura around SS rank, so just imagine thousands or millions of those ghouls coming towards you, your first thought would be to flee, just like how you did now"(Erza)

"Yea, that make sense"(Zain)

It's been about 10 minutes since I entered the forest, and my stamina is started to deteriorate. Continuing to run through the forest I have found myself running towards an open grass area that is about 20 meter wide and 20 meter long. Slowing down my speed I observe the plain field but nothing seem to be amiss so I decided to pick up my pace.

*BANG*

"Oww! What the hell is that!?"(Zain)

"It seem to be a barrier"(Erza)

'Barrier?' Reaching out my hand I touch the spot where I bump into making the barrier shake a little and appearing on the barrier was complicated golden runes shining brightly.

"Rrrgggghhh....rrrgggghhh" Coming from far away I can hear the ghouls moaning about 100 meters behind me rapidly approaching me. 'How come they caught up to me so quick!?'(Zain)

"Hold on master, let me try to break the barrier"(Erza)

"You know how to read those runes?"(Zain)

"Well of course, I do have the knowledge my creator gave me"

"How long will it take?"(Zain)

"About 8-10 minutes”(Erza)

'Damn... They will reach us within two minutes'

"OK hurry up, I will distract them"(Zain)

"Hold on you don’t tell me........"(Erza)

"Hurry up if you don't open the barrier then I am as good as dead"(Zain)

"OK"(Erza)

Preparing for the upcoming battle I take out the rod my side, the rod instantly changing it into a katana as I get into my battle stance. Appearing before me is a hundred ghouls but I knew more is coming because of the ongoing moans in the distant. Seeing me the ghouls instantly started to run towards me like a maniac, I darted into the forest to gain more time and distance between us as the ghouls followed but was to slow as I run in a zigzag pattern through the trees instantly putting a good amount a distant between us. Continuing to run for about two minutes I ran out of stamina so I stop and lean against a tree trying regain my energy

“Rrrrrggrhh”

‘Huh’

Looking up, I can see 10 ghouls in the trees jumping down in front of me ‘Is these things smart?’ Cutting of my path the ghouls seem that it wasn’t going to attack but wait for their comrades who is chasing me. Figuring out what they were doing I slash at them with the katana cutting of 4 of the ghouls head.

“Rrrggrrrhh” One of them wail as they see four of their comrade’s fall. It immediately it ran up to me slashing its claws at me and it was join by the others as well. Barely having any energy left I raise up my sword blocking their attacks. Deciding that it was going to end well for me if I continue to take their attacks I find an opening and immediately bolted towards the nearest tree and climbing it. I started to go towards the direction of Erza, following behind me were the ghouls who was struggling to keep up.

Gliding from tree to tree I pass by the ghouls who was initial chasing me, seeing me jumping from tree to tree the ghouls on the ground immediately started to climb the trees trying to catch me. Continuing the cat and mouse game, eight minutes slowly passed Reaching where Erza is I can see her working at barrier as the barrier runes was flickering on and off.

"Master, I broke the barrier! Hurry up and enter"(Erza)

'If I could I would leave now'

Dodging and blocking the attacks from the ghouls, I find an opening and immediately desperately flee towards Erza. After entering the barrier the barrier almost instantly regenerated shining once against with bright with golden runes blocking the ghouls from entering. The ghouls wanted to break the barrier but it was indestructible.

"You finally did it!"(Zain)

"Sorry master, I didn't expect it to take me longer... Some high rank rune expert must have set that up.”

“Let’s go the barrier should keep those things busy”(Zain)

“OK”(Erza)

Looking for a place to go, I see a path and immediately took a walk on the pathway. Walking for a good minute or so I come across a shard of what seem to be a brick.

Continuing down the path an old Manson appeared in my sight.

‘There is a mansion here...Humans used to live here? I wonder what is inside’

Entering the building a noise sounded off from nearby and suddenly a bright light illuminate the mansion. Covering my eyes with my hands waiting for it to adjust to sudden brightness I hear a loud sound coming from a nearby room.

‘Someone lives here?’

Going towards the room where the noise came from I open the door only to find an empty bedroom

‘I thought I heard a sound coming from here... Or was it’

*Clash*

‘Huh? Why do I feel sleepy all of sudden…’

“Hey...Hey wake up” (???)

*Slap**Slap*

“Wake up! Who are you?”(???)

Opening my eyes I found myself in a chair bound with chains. And in front of me who had an cautious and grim expression on her face where a woman with long black hair and azure blue eyes.

*Slap*

‘WTF? This girl just slap me’

“Oww... What the hell is your problem, first you knock me out and know you going to torture me.”(Zain)

“Now you want to talk, who are you? Why are you here?”(???)

“Who are you? You know it is not polite to ask someone's name without telling yours first” I replied not answering her question

“...My name is Melinda” (Melinda)
