《Blood Drinker》Ch 6.5 Arrival - Edited

Today I had breakfast with the Stein family today and what I presumed would be for the rest of the trip, Lady Stein was a kind person at least that was what she'd shown me, I'm not saying she was putting on an act but you never know.
"Say, Adam, you never mentioned which family you're from."
"Oh, my full name is Adam Drinker."
Cough, cough …
"Did you just say you're a part of the Drinker family?"
"Yes, something wrong."
"No, I'm sorry child, it's just that a close friend of mines married into that family."
"My father's name is Christopher Von Drinker and my mother's name is Claire Drinker."
"Truly? This is a joyous occasion, I wished you mentioned it sooner, your mother rarely comes out to play anymore since she got married."
"Is my mother the one you were talking about?"
"Yes, your mother and I used to go to all sorts of balls, but your father would attend everyone just to get a glance at her. I thought it was creepy but she thought it was endearing being the target of his affection. Haha oh how I miss those days, we were quite the dynamic duo, all the little boys fawning at our feet. I'm sorry I just felt a bit nostalgic."
"No, it’s interesting, mama papa always lovey-dovey, but never say how they met."
"Hehe, I remember those boys trying to challenge your mother to leave her alone but he put them in their place."
"My father can fight?"
"He's a great warrior, as a person he's a bit awkward at times but I now know he meant well."
Knock knock
"Young master, we're preparing to take a break if you would like to get some fresh air and stretch your legs."

"Thank you, Vesimir."
"By you leave."
"Granted."
Once the carriage stopped, we were placed by some trees for shade as the soldiers lead the horses to graze on the grass growing nearby. The next few days would continue this way until we reached the capital. The capital was what I expected, a large caste in the center of a raised hill that rose above the rest of the buildings surrounding it. The city was split into 3 main sectors, business, residential, resource department, the center of the ring being the castle expanded into residential, to business with the resources department. Granted there was a part of the capital that was substantially poorer compared to the rest of the city but they weren't what I could call impoverished if anything it seemed devoid of a criminal underbelly. Once we reached the gate the Steins family separated from us for inspection. The inspection didn't take long considering the only thing we brought was approved arms with a signed permit from a high-level legislative body, our perishables, and my clothing from home.
