《Worlds within world》Chapter 1 : A new start

“Carefully, place the mud on the stones, make sure to smooth it out while you’re at it”, a slow voice spoke calmly, waiting for newborn baby to watch as she demonstrated how to create a mud brick.
The owner of the voice was a young girl, about six-years old by normal standards. She had rather short black hair, black eyes, and tanned skin with rather clear skin. What wasn’t normal was the part where she was holding the newborn by his neck. Not only did she seem to have much more strength then what her figure depicts, she also seemed to lack basic knowledge about holding infants.
Like, maybe not hold them in a way where the slightest twitch will send them back to the void? Or at least if you’re going to hold that way, use two hands.
One hand patting the mud brick and the other grabbing and dangling a infant in the air isn’t something that normal people do.
Or, at least that’s the message Will wanted to convey, it was basically, STOP HOLDING ME LIKE A KITTEN!
It’s not like he has a part of his skin that someone can hold and dangle him from. Rather, the last thing he remembered was himself walking to school and then Truck-san showed up.
Who was promptly followed by Train-san, Car-kun, and two Van-sans. It was as if someone REALLY wanted him dead. Of course another reason could be it was just rush hour. But that wasn’t important.
What was important was how he ended up in this situation in the first place.
While it may seem that he was reincarnated into another body that had recently died, it actually wasn’t the case. In fact, from the moment he opened his eyes, after popping out, to his current situation, it hasn’t even been an hour.
Apparently, in this world, humans are way more tougher than their Earth counterparts. The creatures and such might also be part of it.
Still, it doesn’t mean that someone can grab him by his neck and dangle him in the air, he literally just revived!
Inwardly wanting to scream, but being unable to, as that small hand was still hanging around his neck, he settled for just suffering in silence.
Luckily, for some reason, he was able to understand every word that came out of the girl’s mouth, even though it sounded nothing like English. In fact, he suspected that it was more of an asian language with all the tones being mixed in.
“Do you understand, Will? After patting it, you must let it dry from a few days in the sun. Also, make sure to move it whenever it rains. Otherwise, you’ll have to redo it from scratch.”, the girl continued to talk to the newborn, as if he could understand her.
While in his case it was true, usually no matter how tough a race is, they should not have language built in during their development. That’s of course excluding several unique species. Rather, it excludes almost all intelligent lifeforms, mainly races like humanity.

“Shui-er! Come over here! Being your little brother with you!”, a woman's voice came from within the house nearby where the little girl, Shui-er, sat.
The house was nothing special, just a common brown wooden house, mainly built using what looks like logs stacked on top of each other. With the roof being made of angled, flat wooden boards. There also were what seemed like wooden shutters, the kind where you opened and closed to have air go through the house, along with the mosquitoes and other such insects.
“Coming!”, Shui-er, as she was called, yelled back to the house. At the same time, her loud and rather high pitched voice also smashed into Will’s poor little ears, as she had turned to the side to yell back.
Wondering if it would affect his dignity if he started crying like a normal baby, Will was brought back towards the house by Shui-er, who still to this point, held him by his neck.
You have to wonder where that strength was coming from, while he wasn’t technically fat, holding something like a baby does require a lot more strength then what people usually think.
So a tiny girl like her, who didn’t seem like she could even hurt a fly, made things look rather weird. Plus, even while walking, for some reason, she held him like he was some kind of shield. Her hand that was grabbing his neck was extended outwards, while the other casually dangled by her side. In other words, she still didn’t bother to use two hands to hold a baby, preferring to use only one hand for some reason.
Pushing open the "door", a wooden thing that seemed like it was “locked” by a bar behind the door, Shui-er walked inside the house.
The interior wasn’t any different from the outside, with the inside being a light brown color. Paint doesn’t seem to have been invented in this world, nor electricity, seeing that there were candle like objects sitting around the room. There were the usual rooms, like a kitchen, presumably the room to the left, where a stack of firewood sat. The living room was the room he was in, seeing the wooden table and chairs. Then by process of elimination, the room to the right was probably where the voice came from, and likely the only bedroom in the house.
So then was he supposed to sleep with his entire family in one room? That doesn’t seem safe seeing that he might get crushed by someone if they as much as turned in their sleep. Thinking about random things, Will the “shield” was moved into the room to the right.
A woman, seemingly in her early 20’s was laying on the bed in the room. Her dark black eyes widened at the way her daughter was holding her new baby. Though she then seemed to think that it really wasn’t a big of a deal, as she didn’t say anything about it. In fact, other than her looking somewhat tired, she seemed like a decent looking college student. Decent, because for one, Will was guessing that she was his mother, and also because he was corrupted by anime and manga. Now, her virtually flat chest, her long, yet silky looking black hair, and her somewhat pale white skin held no power over him. He had seen so many women that were way more flawless that they were like an image on paper or a screen. They had become his never-reaching goal in life, something that he could see but never touch.

Of course, reality would never beat fantasy, that’s why they call it fantasy after all, it’s all imaginary.
“Now, now, Shui-er, be a good girl and hand over my little baby.”, the woman spoke to Shui-er while at the same time stretching out her hands. At least she bothered to use both hands, unlike a certain daughter of hers.
Shut-er complied and promptly tossed Will out into her mother’s waiting hands. Clearly she had yet to learn the correct manner to handle infants, Will thought as he felt the world spin around him. Then he was in his new mother’s hands, who easily grabbed him out of the air.
“No, bad Shui-er! You can’t just toss your little brother like that! He doesn’t have anything to cover himself! You can only do that once he has been clothed properly!”, her mother scolded her. It was at this point that Will realized two things, one apparently common sense is hereditary, and two, he apparently was buck naked outside while being dangled by his neck.
All of a sudden, he wished that his new family was living far, far away from other people.
“Now, be a good girl and grab some more water from the well, it doesn’t seem like there is enough for us to use in washing and cooking. I’m gonna take care of little Will and get him into his baby clothes.”, her mother threw out a few chores for her to do while getting out of her bed, slipping on the straw-looking version of slippers.
Shui-er quickly ran out the house, as Will was being played with like a doll by his new mother.
“Now Will, say hi! I’m your mommy!”, as soon as Shui-er left the house, his mother seemed to have taken off her mask. She begins making the usual baby noises while speaking in that tone most doting parents had whenever they are with their child. “I felt sad that Shui-er grew up so fast! It was like a week ago that I held her in my arms, she was barely the size of a pillow! But now, I got you! Yes, who’s the cutest wittle baby ever?”
While making faces and poking his tummy, “mommy” seemed to be in her own little world. Also, what’s with the comment about last week? Isn’t it usually something like yesterday? Maybe a cultural difference?
Will was then “helped” into his baby clothes by his mother, who continued to baby-talk him right up until Shui-er came back.
'Save me!' Will held both his little arms out when he saw Shui-er come into the room, wiggling as much as his little limbs would allow, which only made him seem like he was waving his two little hands at her.
“Wow, mommy, look he seems to like me more! I think he wants me to hold him again!”, elated Shui-er reached out a hand to grab Will from her mother.
Seeing her children already bonding with each other, “mommy” let her daughter take her newborn son from her hands. Which she did easily by - grabbing Will by the neck.
'Oh come on! Not this again!' Will looked out the “windows”, as the bright morning rays came in the hole that it misrepresents, trying to make as little movements as possible. He really didn’t want something snapping as Shui-er held him. That also reminded him, how long did it take for baby necks to stiffen?
“Shui-er, did you finish everything I told you to take care of?”, while watching the two, her mother seemed to have remembered about the chores.
“Yep! I got a bunch of buckets of water and then poured them all into the water holder! Daddy also told me that he’ll be back soon, something about a trap, I didn’t really listen.”, smiling, Shui-er told her mother happily. Meanwhile, Will went from being a shield to a doll, as she held him close to the front of her chest. At least, she used both hands, but only because it seemed she wanted both hands around his neck. It looked like she was trying to choke him to death from far away, which might be the case. Will wasn’t entirely sure what ran through a little girl’s head, but it probably wasn’t much.
Somehow, he felt like he just insulted himself as well.
“Well done, Shui-er! Good girl!”, her mother said as she hugged her, though Shui-er’s hands only ended up wrapping around her mother’s legs. Somehow she also seemed to have forgotten that she was still holding Will, as he face-planted on his mother’s legs.
He figured this was as good a time as any to start crying, otherwise someone else might come along and decide it would be fun to toss the baby high up into the air or something.
“WWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!”, luckily it seemed that his new body is equip with a nice set of lungs on them. They were probably insured by anti-baby-death inc, likely because there were far too many cases with bad lungs and such that it had to become insured by the company.
“No! Bad Will!`` Shui-er didn’t even let him cry for a few seconds before using one of her hands to block his mouth. She used her other hand to block his throat…
'Good-bye cruel world….' Was Will’s last thoughts as his vision faded into the darkness.
