(Ed Note: Since a lot of this story is in conversation form I separate the sentences whenever a new person talks. Should make it a lot easier to read. I also check spelling and see if theirs any grammar I can touch up.)
Jacob
Hey Max I am on my way to the conference has all the others we invited shown up already? Oh and what do you think about the Englands?
Max (Bound/Jacob)
All guests have arrived. I think they will be a very helpful to the future of S.G.M.C. We have started construction on the base as well.
Jacob
Oh okay, well that is good. What kind of security measures do you have planed for it?
Max (Bound/Jacob)
I have slotted for a more advanced and capable defense network then the one we are planning on using for the defense network around Earth. It has the orbital and ground based systems as well as "Kurdans".
Jacob
What is that?
Max (Bound/Jacob)
A "Kurdan" is like your drones but very advanced very stealthy and heavily armed.
Jacob
Hmm okay and are you the one going to be operating them, or do you think we should make a Military grade A.I. for them as well as the defense of the base?
Max (Bound/Jacob)
I think it would be best for a dedicated A.I. for base defense instead of me trying to do that as well as everything you want, and the things I like to do.
Jacob
Okay no problem then let’s do that. I am almost to the conference now so I will talk to you in a bit. Thanks for the update and information.

-Narrative Jacob’s head
As I walked into the conference hall I look around most of the people we invited are disabled and brought their immediate family. Even if they decline my offer I will make sure they all get treatment, it is the least we can do for them. I wonder what they will think of the offer and me. Well I guess I should just get this started.
-Jacob’s Speech
Hello and thank you all for joining me today.
I can guess what most of you are thinking. He is so young how does he have an offer for us? Well just one minute while I secure this room from any and all surveillance and electronics I did not bring with me and we will have that conversation.

(Ed Note: Starting to add “” to speech now. It’s to hard to read without it.)
“Now thank you for waiting. My name is Jacob Strikewing. I am the founder of Strikewing Galactic Mercenary Company. Yes galactic, I thought putting that in the name was reaching a bit too much but I was persuaded into going with it. Anyway I was taken by the aliens not long after they showed up and I am talking about the guys that saved our bacon. Well some shit happened and now I am in possession of a lot of tech and I want to start a Merc Company. I will tell you the whole story so you know what happened and what my plans are and why I asked you all here now. So that is what is going on and what my plans are. Any of you that are interested to join me awesome if not ok, but as a thank you all of you will be offered free medical treatment. There is one person I would like to have a personal chat with Colonel McCune can I have a minute please.”
(Ed Note: When addressing military you go Rank then Last Name. You don’t use first.)
-Matthias McCune
If this kid is being truthful then he has a good foundation ready. I can see why he went for disabled vets as well. Smart of him. I guess I should have that talk with him.
“What can I do for you Jacob?”
Jacob
“Thanks for making the time Colonel. If you are interested in what I am starting I would like you to be the base commander not just for the training but the entire military base on the moon. We will be hiring someone with experience for the civilian portion but the majority is going to be the military. You will have to take the rank of Major General and you will be able to recruit your staff as well. The only requirements on that is they must pass our screening.”
Matthias McCune
“Why do you want me for this?”
Jacob
“Well you have the most experience and the right attitude for what i am planning. You can accept new idea and methods and you are pro tech most O-6 or above are not as flexible. We need that flexibility for our future. You have some experience with SF as well. Do you know former CPO Daniel "The Teacher" England?”

Matthias McCune
“Okay, I can see what you are getting at. Yes I knew the Chief what about him?”
Jacob
“He will be NCOIC of all training on the base.”
Matthias McCune
“You got The Teacher to join you already! How the fuck did you get that?”
Jacob
“I talked to him told him everything and said even if he declines he and his family will get free medical treatment. After that he was in he talked to his wife and daughter they were in. His wife will find a job with S.G.E. while him and his daughter will be S.G.M.C. I hope you don't have a problem with females with combat jobs because I do not and with this tech it will be no problem. Dan's only request for letting her join was he gets to train her to be a member of our SF I agreed.”
Matthias McCune
“No shit, I'll be damned! He is the most qualified seal instructor, so he will be an asset I would love to work with. Any others you want me to know about?”
Jacob
“Not at this time I do have my eye on a few SF trainers one from the Marine Corps, One from the Air Force, Three from the Army, and Two Australian SAS as well.”
Matthias McCune
“Well that will be interesting, are they only going to be training the SF or more then that?”
Jacob
“I want them to be the core of all our training there will be a more advanced portion of training for our SF but the majority of all training no matter what their jobs are going to be I want to have a solid foundation. They need to know how to survive and that's what we are going to train them on. I will also be going through all training including the SF portion so I am qualified in joining missions I don't want to be sitting on my ass twiddling my thumbs when I can go kick some ass.”
Matthias McCune
“What if I would like to go on missions as well?”
Jacob
“I have no problems with you being active just make sure you have a damn good and don't get your ass shot off. Then we won't have any problems sound good General?”
Matthias McCune
“General huh? I think I like the sound of that. What do you take me for, someone who can't keep his ass out of the air? Ha, no worries with that! I am in sir!”
Jacob
“Welcome aboard Major General McCune. It is going to be a crazy ride. I mean a very fun and enjoyable ride.” *Smirk*
Matthias McCune (Ed: He's a Major General now… skipped a bunch of ranks there .)
“Oh, what the hell am I getting into?” *Laughing*
Jacob
“Well General I guess this show is now your’s. Here take this I know it just looks like a regular cell but its not. We designed it to look like that to not stand out. Max will be in contact with you. If you need anything don't be afraid to get ahold of him. okay.”
(Ed Note: Good job staying secretive. Got a military instructor, a ton of retired vets, a bunch of new technology… I really don’t know why you aren’t being raided with jets already… Huh it’s a story though so I will let it pass. )
Matthias McCune
“Not a problem. I will handle this mini circus and be in touch with all the details.”
Jacob
“Okay thanks, Talk to you later.”
(Final Ed Note: Trickiest your getting way better at this? You been learn

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

8 207The Great Expedition(Hiatus)
In a city surrounded by deadly mists, the runner Lleu spends his days delivering messages and packages while trying to move up in the world. One chance encounter later and his life is catapulted in every direction. Author's Comment: I've stopped working on this for the time being. I lost interest in continuing this story in favor of other projects.
8 106(Un)Prophesied Heroes
A regular guy in his 20s gets sucked into a world full of levels, monsters, gods, and propchecies with nothing but his ukulele and the clothes on his back. Uke in hand, Wesley made his way to the local branch of the Bard College to pick up a few levels and hit the road to travel the new world. For a while its all magic forests and incredible sights, but as time goes on it seems more and more likely that Wesley is actually one of these "prophesied heroes" that the lore on this world is full of. Fortunately for him, whatever Dark Lord he was supposed to duel didn't seem to get the memo and the world seems to be at peace. So it's probably nothing, right? This is the story of Wesley's adventuring party as they do their best to get him to fulfull his destiny. A power-hungry [Rogue], a slightly evil [Cleric], a [Mage] that just wants to go home, and a [Lord] who just wants to study the blade. Hopefully destiny is on their side, because the gods seem content to watch them struggle. Author's Note: This story should update once per week, but it might update more. Please leave any constructive criticism/typos I might have missed in the comments. Please enjoy, and let me know what you think!
