《I'm a Bat?》[Ch 2][Arc 1] I Feel

After finding out that i was a bat i tried learning their cycles and the various things they could do, Weirdly enough i was able to communicate with em like echo location and shit. Bats don't really give each other names so its pretty damn confusing, but fuck it mate it is what it is.
A while in i heard a sweet sound that beckoned me, I followed the music and soon i arrived at a bat which i could deduce was female, not really bloody sure how I'm able to tell the difference in gender buts it's all good. As i approached the female i was latched onto by another bat and with a split-second i felt something hot sear into my sides. "What the hell is this feeling its- ITS PAIN" I screamed to myself in ecstasy, for the first time ever i could feel, i could feel the tearing of my flesh, It was amazing i could feel.
I turned my body around and bit into the bat that was latched onto me, We fumbled around midair until we both fell down and started tumbling, Soon a bright light enveloped both me and my attacker. The sun enveloped me and cool air brushed my fur gently. Strange yelping could be heard next to me, I turned around and found that my attacker was female!.
"What in the flying fuck did you attack me for you cum stain" I sounded out to the best of my ability. The bat responded although it was hard at first to understand i soon got what she said "Leave my family alone" The bat said. "Shit do bats have groups composed of their families?" I thought to myself. " Now look where we are you idiot" The bat screeched. "It's not my fault you slag" I screeched back at her. "I don't know what that means but i can't move... my wings are injured" The bat said as she limped a little.

"Well that's not my problem" I said as i started flapping my wings i was stopped before i could fly off as my injury stopped me. "What the hell is this it feels good yet it impairs me, Is this really pain?" i thought to myself. "Hey don't leave me" The bat screeched annoyingly. "Fine you prat" I voiced in surrender. "well take me somewhere safe that giant ball of fire hurts my eyes and makes me sleepy" She said. "whatever just Call me Charlie it's my name" I said while i showed my back to her. "Name?" She asked. "Yeah you call me by it, to not confuse me when you talk to me" I stated while she climbed on my back. "Call me name then" She said while her claws dug into my back. "I'm not calling you name" i said while i climbed a small tree "Why not?" She said. "Because that's not a proper name" I said. "Oh then you come up with one" She said as she rested on my back. " Fine give me time to think of one" I said as i hung upside down and fell asleep.
I had a dream about our surroundings we were in a lush green field long gone from the cave of our birth, At night it gets cold very cold, and prey just walks around, although I've realized that the "Prey" are mostly strong beasts who could tear me apart.
I awoke to the sound of rumbling and slight nibbling on my wing. "Hey Charlie I'm hungry" the bat said while nibbling on my wings. "Stop that" I said in protest. "Hey what's my name?" She said. "Oh i guess Ava" I said remembering my mum's old name. "Sound nice, now get me food" Ava said. "Why would i do that?" I asked. "Because it's your job to take care of me now as a mate" Ava said while rubbing her head on my head. "Mate? Fine whatever" I said and just then i heard a faint chirping.

I flew to the chirping and found a bird nest with a mother and her babies almost fully developed. I gulped down my urge to eat and just stared at them. "Ooh food" Ava said. I was going to protest but this was the life of animals they kill and eat each other without remorse. "Hey you take the Mom ill finish the babies" Ava said as she was readying herself. "Wait, can you even fly yet?" I asked. "Yeah but it hurts so ill go after the babies. I looked at Ava and back at the babies and felt my stomach grumble, I told Ava to get off me and launched myself at the mother.
"Sorry Lads" I said to the babies as i latched onto the mother bird. The mother let out pained chirping and started thrashing around knocking off one of her babies leading to its death. I latched my teeth into the Mom and felt blood pour into my mouth, The poor girl retaliated and i dug my small claws into her eyes ripping out her iris blinding her, I latched on and kept attacking the neck and eyes and soon i felt her body go lifeless. I flew with all my strength carrying the mom back to the nest, where i found Ava finishing off the last baby. "OOH That's good" Ava said dropping the lifeless baby down.
I'm not proud to say it, but we devoured all the birds sucking their blood, Eating their flesh and at the end we tossed the bones off the edge and stayed huddled together for warmth. "we should be hibernating right now right Charlie?" Ava said. "I don't know i was just born a while ago" I said while my wings shivered. "Wait that means I'm your superior" Ava squeaked. "Yeah no" I said as i felt my eyes get heavy.
"Wait bats are nocturnal" You may say.
Well i was not a bat until a while ago, and I'm freezing my arse off.

But she soon finds the glamour of the runewielder's hall hides as much peril as the bloodslick streets. Abandoned by his abusive father at the far reaches of the world, Daegan may not have the powers of his ancestors but he refuses to die in banishment. Will he make it back home in time to prevent a brewing war? ------------------- This is a gritty drama-driven, rambling tale that presents mysteries early on that the characters work to unravel throughout the story. It swings between action, drama, and sometimes some darker comedy. Warning: A whole lot of profanity, alcohol, drugs, implied violence, actual violence and mega-violence—the kind that involves knives sliding into eye sockets and brains spilling onto floors—the usual stuff, scenes of intimacy, mercenaries, pirates, lots of moral ambiguity, including a wizard that likes to make tea with the heat sucked from his victim's bodies and a heap of world-ending monsters ready to eat people. _______________ Expectations: Updates every Monday and Thursday. Chapters will be between 2,000 and 5,000 words. I'm Irish and write in "Irish English" which is to say that I don't use much of the letter "z"
