Jay's body trembled. He was now thoroughly excited! In the distance countless figures appeared and around them were auras that craved for blood!

With Helix's help he quickly identified the approaching monsters as a monster tide!

According to Helix this tide of monsters were probably summoned here when the giant snake released that mighty roar! It was like Jay had activated the second part of an S-Class mission!

Roarr!!

Lions, giant centipedes, lizards, massive spiders and even foxes all roared with a burning flame of rage! Their eyes filled with bloodlust had already pinned itself onto Jay's body.

Jay didn't stay idle for long as he felt their intent to kill grow stronger.

In one paw lightning arcs began to gather while in the other flames that felt like it came from the depths of hell ignited with a blood red glow!

Jay: "||Cleave||!"

Bodies flew and some were even incinerated as Jay's affinity imbued claws lashed out with a yearning aura to kill.

Massive craters kept on appearing around the area and soon even the cave couldn't hold out any longer as it crumbled to the ground.

An endless stream of notices rang out filling Jay's head with a melodious tone! In only a short few minutes Jay leveled up to level 33!

Seeing that all of their comrades were dying to one measly 'lion' brat they all felt enraged! Their sanity finally dispersed as they entered a state of madness!

Jay's expression darkened. He felt the pressure they gave off increase!

Jay's figure flickered. He pounced from tree to tree as he slammed his claws down on every living creature he glimpsed at!

He left none alive as they were his precious exp.

Suddenly, as Jay was about to enter a perfect killstreak his claws unexpectedly clashed against a hard surface instantly sending him staggering back several meters away!

Jay tightened his guard as he gazed warily in the direction of where he was thrown from.

A giant brown lion with a half grown mane rushed towards Jay not willing to give him any time to regain his composure!

Jay's expression darkened as he felt the aura of the lion in front of him. This monster wasn't at the 3rd rank of the Core-Forming Realm!!

Although Jay was on a massive killing spree, those beasts were most likely monsters at the 2nd rank of the Core-Forming Realm, some were probably 3rd rank as well!

Jay didn't expect to meet a monster above the third rank here.

But he didn't back down though! His battle intent only soared as he activated ||Divine Pride||.

Jay: "Helix, raise my affinity level with stat points!"

Helix: [Sorry sir that is impossible!]

Jay: "Why the fu-"

Jay couldn't even complain to Helix as the lion's giant body slammed into him while it swung out it's claw with an arc of lightning surrounding it!

Jay countered with his left claw as he opened his mouth widely, biting down on the lion's neck.

Jay: "Ow! FUCK!"

Helix: [Sir it seems like this lion has two affinities! Lightning and metal. He's using them to defend and attack.]

Jay: "You couldn't warn me earlier?!"

Helix:[...]

Jay: "This bastard…!! ||Zerophite's Roar||!!"

A monstrous roar escaped Jay's mouth. Multiple soundwaves rose and fell and soon, Jay was bombarded with a series of system notices!

Helix: [You have stunned several monsters at the 3rd rank of the Core-Forming Realm!]

[You have inflicted fear into most monsters at the 2nd rank of the Core-Forming Realm]

Jay didn't bother with the notices right now. He embraced his new found strength and grinned widely while gazing at the frustrated lion.

Without any hesitation he charged towards it while coating his claws with both lightning and fire affinities!

With a mighty roar aiming towards the heavens Jay leaped into the air with a ferocious look on his face!

The lion mimicked his actions and soon it's entire body shone with a silver light! It's giant claws glowed with a deep yellow as crackling noises filled the area.

Jay's claws filled with both lightning and fire came down on the lion like a giant mountain descending from the heavens! A circular wave of energy rippled out as their claws clashed!

The moment the circular wave of energy met with all the other beasts, their bodies were cleanly chopped into two!

The trees were uprooted and the earth was riddled with cracks!

The monsters hiding underground watched the black 'lion' that was now even bigger than a full grown lioness massacre an entire monster tide by himself!

They all had one thought: "Which clan is this savage monster from?!"

Helix released countless notices but Jay simply ignored them. No, he couldn't even care to look at them right now! Both he and the lion staggered back a few meters from the previous clash but they instantly clashed again!

Jay felt his paws go numb as the force behind the lion's attacks increased!

Jay: "Dammit! It can't go on like this for much longer! Helix you know where to put those stat points! LOAD EM UP!! ||Enhanced Vision||!!"

Helix: [Understood sir! Beginning process. Process has been completed! Your stats have all risen dramatically due to stat points! Weakness found! Solution: Directly chop through the right side of it's neck!]

As Helix's voice fell Jay's aura rose! At the same time the cooldown for ||Divine Pride|| had finally disappeared! Seeing Jay's evil grin the lion felt a bad premonition arise in his heart.

Jay silently enjoyed seeing the lion's wary look. Without any hesitation he activated ||Divine Pride||.

BOOOM!

An aura that felt like it was above the 4th rank of the Core-Forming Realm exploded out of Jay's giant body!

At this moment an aura of darkness rose along with it.

It danced around crazily as Jay's eyelids slowly drooped. An icy cold killing intent leaked out from his eyes while he silently approached the lion.

Terrified! The lion was absolutely terrified!!

It took a few steps back attempting to flee but it suddenly found itself glued to the ground! As it glanced at it's feet it saw several massive black shadow like tentacles firmly holding onto it's feet.

Jay had already appeared before it. A burning hatred was ignited in his heart.

He didn't know why but for some reason seeing a common lion that was even lower than him in bloodline and lineage push him to the entrance of hell enraged him badly!

The only answer he had for this was an inborn pride.

Jay: "Don't run you motherfucker!"

Swoosh!

With a simple swipe of his claws he easily cleaved through the neck of the lion. It's head flew through the air and fell to the ground with a 'plop'.

Jay: (Sigh)

Jay released a heavy sigh as he collected his exp before lying down to rest himself.

The monsters underneath the ground all had their eyes opened widely! Cold sweat formed on their necks as they swallowed their spit several times to fill their constantly dried up throats.

They all realized something. Today was the day when the lion clans all gained a new pride! A dark horse had finally risen from the shadows.

But what they didn't know was that Jay was no mere lion but something that was far more powerful!

Jay: "I've gained a lot of exp from that damned lion. Now I can collect even more by using ||Hell's Misery||"

Jay went around looking for the bodies of the beasts and piled them next to the lion's own. He couldn't help but smile bitterly.

The bodies that survived from the clash between him and the lion were very few.

No longer wanting to lament about his misfortune he activated his skill. His eyes suddenly brightened as he watched the incoming system notices!

Helix: [Congratulations sir you've leveled up to level 38! Your cultivation has increased to the 4th rank of the Core-Forming Realm!]
