《Beauty Perspective》Chapter 3

... Nolan woke that morning well rested. Then he remembered what he did. He was also holding the woman from behind. He quickly got up and put his pants on. He froze when he heard her waking up. Turning around, he could see her looking up at him.

"I'm sorry about last night. I lost control and just went wild."

"Do you regret it?" Sounding a little sad.

"No. It was amazing and that was the best sleep I've had, since getting here."

"Now that you've had your release, what do you think of me?"

'Why does everyone keep thinking I'm just being desperate?' "I still think you're beautiful. I do wonder why you and Celine hide your faces. It'd be nice to see more often."

She blushed a little at that. "If you want, I can see if my master will allow us to do this again."

"I would like to know your name first. I feel like a jerk for not knowing your name at this point."

"Lina."

"Lina is a nice name. Would you like some help getting dressed, Lina?"

"Yes. Thank you."

... returning to the rest of the group, they were quickly noticed.

Tom was the first to speak. "I wasn't sure if you'd really do it, but I guess we all have our breaking point. You good now?"

"Yep, I feel much better." Trying not to show his rage. 'If we were alone, I'd cut your throat. Annoying bastard.'

"I can't believe you actually slept with an animal. It's disgusting." Mary was being a bitch.

"It's not good to be jealous. You need to be honest with your feelings, or it may cause you trouble later." Nolan was getting tired of hearing her talk.

"What are you talking about?"

"That your jealous that I slept with a woman, other than you."

"That's not true. I don't even like you."

"I'm sorry. Does that mean you wanted her for yourself?"

The other two guys started laughing at that. Mary on the other hand was going through an angry stutter.

Celine quickly walked up to Lina and started whispering with her. 'She's probably worried about her friend.'

"I'm ready to get back to work." Nolan said while smiling.

... after another hour of eating breakfast and gathering there stuff, they started out again.

As they were walking, Celine got close to him and pulled her hood down. "Lina said you went pretty wild last night."

Nolan blushed and looked away. "I may have lost control for a little while."

"You lost control for five hours."

"Really, wait, how would you know?" Looking at Celine, accusingly.

"I was worried for her. So I checked to make sure you didn't do anything unreasonable."

"You watched us for five hours?"

She blushed and looked away. "I-I uh um-"

"Now I feel awkward." He said while chuckling.

"Do you still think my ears are cute?" She asked as she reached up to touch her ears.

"Yes."

"Even though you've already been with Lina?" She sounded sad when asking that.

"You're a very pretty woman. I had no intention of sweet talking into your pants. I'm sure we would both enjoy it, but I-."

"You prefer bigger women?" She had a resigned look.

"That's not it. I've always thought people who are carefree with who they sleep with were shitty. I kinda regret it. After we get out of the dungeon, we may never see each other again. I kinda get attached pretty quickly."

... "If you really feel that way, why don't you ask if you can buy her. Then she could stay with you." She said while looking away.

"Do you think Tom would sell her?"

"I'm pretty sure he wants to. He's just trying to earn enough to get a better slave."

Nolan thought for awhile. "Thanks for the advice." As he looked at Celine, she looked sad. "Are you okay, Celine?"

"It's nothing."

"Are you sure? If theirs something bothering you, and if you want to talk about it, I'm listening. I'd like to help you out if I can."

She looked to him and just stood their silently. He didn't move or look away, as he waited for her. "Why do you care? You already have Lina, and you obviously intend to buy her after this is over. Why do you still care to be nice to me?"

"Because, I see you as my friend. You found me and saved me from being trapped here alone. If I can help you, I will do what I can. So please, tell me what's wrong."

As she considered his words, she looked away ashamed. "I was hoping to use you. I wanted it to be me, not Lina. I was going to suggest that you use me, but my master called me away. Then they offered you Lina. I was going to suggest that you buy me. My master thinks I'm too much to waste coins on. It would have been easy and a decent price. But ... I want to hate her for catching you first, but I'm sure you would have looked to her anyway."

'Wow. That was a bit of interesting information.' "Sorry for not noticing your interest in me, I kind of spent a lot of time killing goblins and staring at your butt."

She smirked. "I noticed."

"Since you know how much you would cost, how much would that be?"

She stared a moment before talking. "He would settle for eight gold, but he would prefer ten."

"Hmmm. I want to take you both, but, I don't know how much I've got."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, sometime before you found me, I found a chest that I'm pretty sure has some valuables. But it's locked and I haven't opened it yet."

"You found the hidden chest? If that's true, it should be worth a couple hundred at the least." She was shocked at first, but her excitement was slowly growing.

"That's good, so I should be able to afford the both of you. Right?"

"Y-yes. But, are you sure you want me as well? You haven't even been with me, yet. I also admitted that I was trying to use you."

"I'm not buying you just so I can sleep with you. You're intelligent, I enjoy talking with you and I feel like I owe you for finding me as I was starting to lose my mind. Also, people use each other all the time. You wanted to use me to get a better life. Well I'm using everyone. With the group, I'm not alone and I can finally get out. I even used Lina, even if she seemed to welcome it, to satisfy my urges. Besides, I trust you, especially more than those three. So are we good now?"

Celine was feeling quite happy. She just knew he was a good choice. "Yes and thank you. But we may still be here awhile. We still need to find the end of this dungeon."

"Umm. I already have a good idea where that is."

"You do, why didn't you say anything earlier?"

"No one asked and I didn't know that you wanted to know that."

She stared him in the eyes for a long moment. "Why are you in this dungeon?"

"Let's just say, I woke up here." Nolan was starting to get nervous.

She continued staring at him. "Are these secrets, criminal in nature?"

"No."

"Once you buy me, will you tell me everything?"

"Absolutely everything."

"Is there anything you are willing to tell me right now?"

"Let's say that I'm not from around here and I lack a bit of common sense. I promise that I have no ill intentions towards you or Lina."

"What about the other three?"

"I don't like them, but I don't think it would be worth the trouble that would bring."

"Then I think you should negotiate a deal now, rather than later." She turned and walked back.

When they reached the group, she spoke. "Nolan wants to discuss something."

"Well, Nolan, is something wrong?" Tom was curious what was so important.

Nolan took a moment to ready himself. "Before you found me, I found a hidden chest and I want to make a deal for Lina and Celine."

Tom looked to Fred, seeing the greed in the mans eyes. "Alright, let's go check the chest."

... it took a few hours to reach Nolan's hideaway. He may have gotten lost at first

Nolan showed them the hole in the wall. Filled with goblin spears and a big chest.

"Rat, open the chest."

Celine immediately got to work. She pulled out a few picks and started. After two minutes, they heard a click. Opening the lid, they looked inside. It was filled with gold coins and some jewels scattered in it.

Tom looked to Nolan with a smile. "Let's start negotiating. Let's say one hundred gold each."

"Don't treat me like an idiot. If I paid a hundred for the both, I would be paying too much by more than double. Ten for Celine and thirteen for Lina."

"Deal." Fred was quick to accept.

Tom on the other hand was calmly thinking. "Thirty. By the way, why are you in a dungeon all by yourself?"

"Fifteen, and that's personal."

"Sounds like you might be hiding from the law or someone." Tom was staring him down, looking for any lies.

"Their's no one in this world I know anymore."

"And why is that?"

"Like I said, it's personal."

"We need more than that. You're a very suspicious person, Nolan."

"Fine! You want to know why I'm here?! Before I came here, my grandfather died on his deathbed, after revealing that he had been keeping secrets from me. Secrets that kept me from making any friends for over ten years. His lies ruined my life, and I didn't know until just before he died. Then it gets worse. Soon after that, I lost my father." He paused for a moment, the rage dying down as the sorrow rose. "They were all I had, so I started drinking. I woke up to find I was lost in this damned dungeon. That is what I was hiding. Embarrassment, shame and sorrow. Anything else you want to know about my life?" Nolan glared at Tom, on his last word.

"Twenty." Tom calmly smiled.

"Deal." Nolan slammed the lid shut. "One more thing, this is my first time in a dungeon. I think I might know where the end is. It's a big cavern with a lot of them gathered in one spot."

Tom squinted at him for a second. "Alright, let's follow Nolan."

... Nolan was in the lead, with Celine, holding a spear and mace in each hand.

"Did all that really happen, or was that just to get him off your back?" Celine wasn't sure if that was what he didn't want to talk about, or if he made it all up.

"Yes and no." He then turned to look at her, with a smile. "Don't worry, I promise to explain everything afterwards."

"Alright, I trust you."

They continued to kill lots of goblins, till they arrived to the entrance to a huge cavern. Well over a hundred goblins were in their.

Celine gasped when she saw a goblin wearing a white robe wielding a white staff. "High shaman."

"Shit. Theirs no way we can do this. It looks like one hundred and fifty, at least. Plus, a high shaman. As long as that shaman is alive, we can't win. We should probably turn back."

'After four months of this, I need to know if the shaman is worth it.' Nolan took a few deep breaths and charged. Before the goblins knew it, he was their. He threw his spear as hard as he could.

The spear flew through the air and struck the shaman in the head. It was dead instantly. Using the mace, Nolan went forth and began to slaughter. With the sudden death of their shaman, and the instinctual fear they had when looking at the bloody beast of Nolan, most of the goblins froze or stumbled away from him.

After a moment of shock, at what they saw, the others soon joined him.

An hour later they laid exhausted on the ground. Nolan found the shaman and ate the heart.

'Ding'

(Congratulations you have killed and eaten a high goblin shaman. The dungeon boss.)

'Ding'

(You have gained advanced healing magic.)

Nolan started to laugh. 'So worth it.'
