Going through the front door proves to harder then expected as the door is enchant so magic doesn't work on it, leaving me unable to go outside. Leaving me stuck as what to do, I don't want the slimes melt the door because I don't want the local wildlife destroying my home.

While thinking I remember that there was a window in the fourth floor and started to head there, only after I arrive did I remember the fact that it's on the FOURTH floor jumping down from there will definitely smash my body to pieces.

The window itself is just hole cut into the wall with a wooden board covering it, now thinking about it I remember that the window was here from one of Merlin's experiment and never got around to repairing it. Ahhhh the memories I was also almost turned to dust from the beam if it was just angled a bit a more to the left....

Any ways opening the window I saw that the window is facing a cliff on a mountain with a sea of trees spanning seemly forever toward the mountains in the background. So yea new problem since the tower is near the cliff which will make my four story drop into a 40 story drop making it even harder for me. Going back into the tower I started to look around for anything that might help...

Some time later I found nothing but some forgotten research in some random corner that he never got around to completing. The research is about some long term way of fly since flight magic is too consuming to use constantly and contraption are too big and takes to much space. He decided that having wings like monsters dragon, devil, etc. is the best way as it is a part of you and you can improve it as long as you improve your stats. He stopped researching it after he came across a big barrier, making one grow the wings. After failing on several test subjects and horrible deforming them in the processes he give up.

The good news is that I have the skill remodel and directly make wings on me, but the bad news is that I being made out of different materials the method that Merlin devised to set the wingspan of the wings for living things does not work as well for me. So I have no idea what to make the wings out of and how to make the wings so it can keep me from falling and dying. Guess I'm going to need to start reviving a dead research project.

On a table a mess of many different materials lay scattered with many different broken shapes and sizes with most of them having broken wing like shapes on their back. A single figure sat in the middle of it all holding what seems to be thin air...

I manage to make a working prototype that uses special type of white bendable alloy that is almost weightless. The alloy have been made into countless feathers forming into a bird like wings, that can be use as a projectile if needed.

The wings have been tested on several different golem models that have a variety of shape and weight and have passed most of the tests. This one being the one that is the most flexible in carrying different types of shapes and material.

While the Wing is a good thing to have around it also have a big drawback of being a very expensive item as the forging processes and and materials for the it are rare. It also forces me to change my combat style as my body is remade so that it can wrap around my body turning it into a cloak and armour when I'm not flying.

Well whatever small sacrifice for the benefits for getting out of this place and faster travel.

Nearing the end of the check up I started to walk towards the end of the table readying for the test flight. Looking over the table I started to get worried as jumping off from this height will likely hurt a lot if the wings doesn't work. while hoping I won't die from this I jumped, instead of me flying around the room I landed hard on the ground taking away a large chuck of my health.

While feeling dumb thinking for forgetting that other then it being a foreign limb I don't know how to fly I start to repair myself. Thankfully the wings aren't damaged from the fall I start to get up and start randomly flapping my wings to help me get use to the limbs.

[Body Mending is a art used to mend one own body through magical means other then the tradition means like healing magic. Usually gained by golem as healing magic doesn't work on them, it is a passive effect and will slowly mend your body to its former state but unlike regeneration mending allows ones body to reattach ones limbs. But be warned as mending gets stronger healing magic becomes less effective]

Thankfully the wings aren't damaged from the fall I start to get up and start randomly flapping my wings to help me get use to the limbs.

Some time after the fall I got use to the wings and studied how the golems used it to fly and practiced it's movement and started to move to the edge once more. While falling I panicked a little when the ground but using my wings leveled out and start to gilded with the a occasional flaps to keep me in the air.

After confirming that I'm able to use the wings properly I flew out the window heading out to the world.
