Hello everyone I would like to give a small update. First of all I would like to thank everyone who has been reading this story and especially those who left feedback. I am going to stop writhing new chapters for a while because the first 9 chapter are bugging me. I left way to much info out and rushed it.. Thus I am going to rewrite all of them with as main goal to make the story develop smoother. Every chapter will cover one year of his life and be around 10000 words long. This means around 5 to 6 times bigger than the old chapters. This will take quite some time so this is what I will be doing the next 2-3 weeks if I write around 4-5 hours a day (an hour more than I am doing now). I will chance the titles of the rewritten chapters( they are just going to be titles like, first year and so on). The big lines will be the same but more detailed. I am sorry for the inconvenience. You can expect the first one to be ready around Saturday or Sunday.

The Supervillain Tries Playing Games to Relax
After yet another hard day of work, William Ainsworth, a National-Level Villain and the CEO of Hound Corporation is surprised with a birthday gift from his head scientist. The gift turns out to be a VR-headset, and after some convincing, William decides to try it, joining a fantasy-styled VRMMORPG alongside thousands of other players. In this new world where he suddenly isn't feared, he finds unlikely friends and allies, including such characters as Tin, a popular girl hiding her nerdier tendencies, Track, a NEET hidden away for the good of the world, George, a military field doctor trying to learn combat and Chrys, a Superhero in-training trying to learn how to fight. At first, William wouldn't consider these oddballs to be any important to him, but after being stuck with them for long enough, they might just let him melt his icy exterior. ------- -In a world where Superheroes and Villains have existed for only a few meagre generations, this story will focus on how a stoic supervillain comes to befriend people when he hasn't ever been allowed to get close to anyone. Imagine it like a sort of Boku no Hero Academia where the big bad villain is playing the same game as the kids, which happens to be a similar game to Legendary Moonlight Sculptor. The story will take place in both the real world and the game and these plots will interact and intersect. Characters will be fleshed out as the story goes along. Enjoy!

What happens to a mind, subjected to an infinite span of time? What remains, when it is taken out again? This is the story of an individual reborn after such time has passed that nothing remains of what it was; an individual who must learn once again what it is to be, beginning with awareness of the idea of awareness, and growing from there; from awareness of self, to awareness of others, to awareness of society, and on. This is the story of a mind; growing, learning, adapting, and becoming more. -- Currently the first three chapters are - well, kind of experimental. I both like and hate these; they were a pain to write, and I'm told by at least one person that they're painful to get through, but I think something like them is necessary to set one of the basic ideas about the way the story is written. It gets slightly more normal after that, the first arc of the story is rather "battle school", and I think I may need to go back and edit it - the characterization didn't end up working out as well as I had originally hoped, unfortunately, and ended up rather weak to my eye. I may go back and add a sub-plot or two, depending on how well I can handle the intended perspective shift of the second arc. -- Currently on hiatus, in case that wasn't obvious. I'm debating between rewriting large portions of what I've already written, and just finishing out the story, but either way, I don't actually have a clear idea of what I want to do right now. If I'm still feeling the same way in a few months I'll put a chapter up explaining where the story was going, maybe, so the people who have enjoyed it can know where the story was intended to go, and close this out.
