《Making a World Into Fantasy》Chapter 3 - Reverberations

At the borderlands of a kingdom in the midst of war.
Septimus looked up from the sand table with emblematic flags stuck all over the place. His heart throbbed suddenly as he felt something big changed in the world, but immediately put the notion behind him. There were more important matters at hand.
“Is there anything wrong with the report sir?”An adjutant asked.
“Nothing. We are at the forefront of an era of change.” He muttered, looking back at the reports laid out before him, before adjusting a few flags on the table.
“Tell the knights to get ready for battle. We’re going to finish them off with a night raid.”
The adjutant salutes and exits shouting commands as he leaves the tent, setting off a commotion of approval. The “engines of war” wake again.
-------
Lightning enlightens the raging skies above the coast.
A young woman wakes from her sleep with a scream. Her breath and body quaking uncontrollably as the visions of her dreams playback in her mind.
A room full of books.
The figure of a being above the clouds in the night sky looking down at her with glowing eyes.
The pressure of fear bearing down upon her.
Then the roar of a tyrannical beast.
There was another bolt of lightning lighting up the night sky outside. She looked out the window. Nothing was out there but the stormy night skies. No books. No figure above. No pressure or beast.
-------
Within a dimly lit room with a small table surrounded by masked figures.
“Our god has awakened! Can you feel it?!” One fanatically exclaimed.
“Peace brother, it is too early to tell. We need more information about the happenings of the world.” A calm voice sounded.
“I’ll send out a decree to report on all strange things. The highest priority!” Another exclaimed.

“Till the Dark Sun eclipses!” The calm voice says.
“Till the Dark Sun eclipses!!!” A multitude of voices overlap.
Silence engulfs the room. The figures unseen; leaving a lone bell on the table. One that hasn’t rang till this night.
------
All over the world of Xerveres, similar scenes happened interrupting the nights of many strange or sensitive beings. Unbeknownst to them that the world around them has begun changing slowly.
In the deep forests, some flowers begin blooming. Their petals open up, showing off their bioluminescent color.
Plants begin growing vigorously as an unknown energy enriches them. The forests became more lively over a single night as some species evolved after the first intake of source energy.
Animals felt the changes too, albeit there were no physical changes to them yet. Many became restless after being woken up by an unknown force. Others, such as insects became a bit more lively as the rich energy entered their small bodies.
Deep underground, source energy pools into the cave systems and ores below. These areas become new zones of untapped potential and opportunity.
On this night, the Fate of Xerveres increased in quality and size. The dull future it had before no longer seen as the changes brought about by Lukas slowly influenced the world.
All of this unknown to him.
----
With the change of Fate, some individuals with lackluster futures had their fortunes shift from the original course. As the future pillars of the world, they will have to undergo so much tempering and pressure to mold them into powerful beings that are worthy to shoulder the powers they will discover.
This will be the new legend of Xerveres. One filled with the rise of heroes, villains, chaos, and the rise and fall of many kingdoms! It all begins with a simple idea, the impossible becomes possible.

Essence Eater (A Super Progression Fantasy)
Gods. Demons. Aliens. Superheroes. Supervillains.Consume them all for power. Eighty years have passed since WW2, when Prime took to the skies and ended the war. No one knows what gave him his power, or what birthed the wave of supers that came after. Some claimed the nuclear bombs dropped in Japan cracked the barrier between Universes, allowing alien energies to enter the dimension. Others believed the wars finally triggered what humanity needed to reach a new stage of evolution. Daniel Das lives with his uncle in post-super London, the League of Hero's primary hub. He's spent all of his twenty-one years pushing himself, training in martial arts and studying supers, hoping he'll awaken his metagene and gain super powers. The cut-off age is close, but he hasn't yet awakened superpowers. Meanwhile, the League is steadily losing parts of the city to the growing villain factions. Daniel's uncle wishes to keep him away from the world of supers, but with the hot zones closing in, that's easier said than done. There are villains selling unregulated superpowers to gangs and dark days are on the horizon. Despite his limitations, there is no stopping Daniel. He is ravenous for power. If needed, he will ally with demons if they give him the power to protect his family and home. -------------------------------- This world building is heavily inspired by Worm and The Boys. It features dark, realistic storylines, corporation-funded heroes, and villains who aren't necessarily bad guys. The protagonist's powerset involves the crowd-favourite consuming enemies for power trope, too. The GameLit/LitRPG elements are super light and takes a while to kick in. The powercreep is slow as well since I don't enjoy overpowered protagonists. Chapters everyday until book 1 is complete. The schedule will change once I reach that point.
