Beru pov

“—I’m going to crush you.” i exclaim.

With a joyful declaration, Hyuno stepped forward.

"Enough with that nonsense of yours now prepare to die” the man named Hyuno speaks.

Hyuno, seemingly without a care in the world, approached me. He walked completely defenseless as if he was going for a stroll in the park.

Seeing my opponent so full of openings, I fought to keep the smirk off my face. Foolish would be the only way to describe it. Nevertheless, I won’t give him the chance.

While activating [field of vision] and [increase stats]. I put all to the moment when that man would enter the range of my sword area. "These foolish people will going to die today". I think to myself

“I’ll kill him with one attack”. The prouder they were, the more desperate they become once cornered. If I couldn’t kill him with the first attack, he would no doubt to ask help from his members.

That’s why I need to do it in one blow. The man is coming to me. Approaching without care, like he was saying that i was not enough to be his opponent.

And then—

Thinking about everything and putting all in one slash would be perfect.

I was certain that the sword was certainly got him when he was within the radius.

The slash that cut through the air had all of my strength behind it. If he had managed to dodge, then he would have been forced to admit that my opponent is stronger than me, even in my wildest imagination i couldn't believe what just happen.

The guy had stayed and standing there without a scratch.

my voice carried barely a whisper.

I forcefully held back my body that was threatening to tremble uncontrollably. I couldn’t believe the sight in front of me. But without a doubt, resting on his outstretched blade were two fingers,— her thumb and index finger.

Suddenly, I lost balanced and look at the position where I started to feel pain then I saw a cut at my abdomen then blood started to flow out from my body.

that was quick, I didn't even notice that he was gone and stab me.

“Hmph. I thought he could see it, but it was useless seeing his reaction.” The man suddenly speaks.

“Now do you want to speak or you want to end your life?”. The guy asked me.

Hearing such cruel words, I unintentionally let a single word slip from my mouth.

“Monster…”

Then a smiled form from his thin lips.

“no, I’m not, let say that you were just unfortunate that you encountered us but anyways since you will not speak then let's finish this so we could head back to the capital.”.”

After the moment, he finished talking, the air around us suddenly change then I saw a glimpse of his power, a reaper who was holding a scythe is moving in the shadows, that’s why I wasn’t able to see the cut was coming because my enemy is a spirit type.

I was confident before I face them but now everything changes, when I look back at the past, everything I've done was beyond from what these people do. I must seem pathetic. I, after all, the monsters that I’ve killed, the arrogant fools who underestimated me just because they believed themselves to be stronger—

While harboring such thoughts, I forcibly suppressed my self-deprecation. Instead—

“—AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!”

With a scream, I charge with all the strength I have to the guy who was standing proudly in front of me.

Immediately after, my worst fears were realized. I was suddenly couldn’t move and stay at the position of slashing the guy in front of me.

then one thing I know for sure, the revenge I really wanted will not be happening anymore.

Then for a moment, a giant scythe was heading at the direction of my head. my life flashed before my eyes until the moment my head was cut off and turn my memory into a complete darkness.

Hyuno pov

“Hmmm, leader there’s no one here who could give us a single fight, I think we should let your beast do the rest we need to go back there as fast as we could.” I turned to every member after my spirit beast killed the arrogant man who was crying before dying.

“and ohh……… Don, let your sucking monster do the cleaning ok?,” I smiled to the man who was holding a machine in his hand then walks towards the entrance so I could breathe a fresh air after the pungent smell of blood from the inside.

After a while, my hearing could no longer detect voices from the inside beside from the members and the machine who keeps on sucking everything. From the members of the 7 heroes I have the most outstanding hearing abilities; I could hear even the sound of the insects few kilometers from me so I don’t need to see what they are doing inside.

After a while I saw everyone coming out one by one especially bleu who had a sulking face, maybe he was still upset that he didn’t kill the guy he was just playing at. Then there’s 2 beast monster following them, the pet of our leader who can call or summon a golden king beast.

After I saw them coming out I stand up since I was sitting at the rock outside the cave and followed our leader who was just unsummon his beast.

“What is this; we couldn’t even get a single statement from them!” Suzanne blurted out of the blue.

“They were hired by the neighboring country who we just encounter a few years ago. They paid them to watch our movements so they could find a plan that could kill us all” I exclaim out to them.

“And where did you hear that?” bleu asked me.

“Well, one of the ninjas we found when we were coming here told us about it”. I told everyone about the members of the blade clan who were stationed a few meters from their hideout we were captured earlier.

“ohh the Balkans empire, that’s why they were following us the whole time, anyways senior Leo contacts me through the crystal orb that the king expected us any sooner now, so we need to head back,” Suzanne informed us.

“ok, let’s go.” The leader started to run fast and we followed him going back to feloria capital.

As we started running 30 meters away from the cave, I heard a ticking bomb sound inside the cave and then it suddenly blow up, leaving the hideout blasted and destroyed. Maybe sunny planted all those bombs before coming out. Then I concentrate on running leaving in a fast pace looking only at the back of our leader who was ahead of us.

Kurinai pov

After the tower being transferred to another location, I went outside and roam around busuana. lushly green leaves, and the majestic scenery was giving it the appearance of having been there for a long time. Looking around, I could see how beautiful this scenery is.

This terrain had been created through magic by zeckery. he added small details that made it more like natural. Through this, it made the whole busuana more appealing and natural and not by magic.

I receive a notice from Karen who was the overseer of the secret chambers earlier that’s why I was heading there.

I use [flight] magic to fly upward the sky. After passing a certain point, I pierce through a thin membrane. It is the proof of having broken through the protective Illusion barrier which I created to protect the secret rooms to everyone especially my guardians who doesn’t know that these floors exist.

Without reducing the speeds, I reach the destination were the large solemn mausoleum was floating through a separate island. At that island, you can find the only entrance leading to these chambers.

Flying straight to the stairs of the gray temple and finding numerous figures below me I repressed my anxiety and landed in front of them.

“Your majesty, welcome.”

Along with a woman’s tender voice, many other voices arose as well to welcome me.

Standing at the front, dressed in a gown of purple-black, was Karen, the mausoleum Overseer, who was also the person with the greatest understanding of the items inside this chambers.

The 6 warrior beast tending to her were the guardians of the first door, and standing a little farther behind were the other beast who were stationed according to their level and power. All these characters were level 90 and above to ensure the safety of these items.

I waved my hand gently in response to the greetings.

“Karen, about the issue we discussed over [Message]. …”

“Yes. Would you like to discuss this issue elsewhere?” Karen says this while keeping his voice low to make sure that I am the only one who can hear it.

“You are right… let us discuss this while we go over to my destination, alright?”

“As you wish. Well then belot; please bring over the magic box.” bellot turned beside her where one of the beast guardians handed a small yet beautiful box.

This box where needed to put the rings that I equipped in order to be not attacked by the Kraken's and the stone guardians inside the mausoleum. Even me who created this entire monster, I was not exempted that’s why I need to be cautious upon entering this chamber.

Since the ring would allow the wearer to move around busuana at will and also to be transported directly to the tower below without using portals, it is not accepted this inside the secret chambers.

“Well then, let’s go, Karen. “I said to the lady who is so beautiful that even I sometimes mesmerize by its beauty.

Accompanied by Karen, the rest of the monster who welcomed me earlier was disappeared and only me, Karen and the 4 door guardians where leading and opened the thick, heavy door and headed deeper inside, towards the direction of the receiving area. As we walked deeper the 4 guardians remain and Karen and I were the only ones who continued walking toward the second door.

“Before we enter, I wish to ask several questions. You said that the crystal detects some anomaly inside busuana?” I asked her before she opened the door.

“Yes, your majesty. While I was patrolling inside the chambers, the giant white crystal at the center was turned to gray then disappeared right away.” She reported.

“hmmmmm, it seems that there is someone who tried to betray me, do you know the details behind this anomaly?” I asked her while she opened the door that lead us to the first room where all the world class equipment’s were placed and the giant crystal located.

“Yes, we have already completed our investigation. According to the personnel I sent to busuana, they suspected that one of the guardians are making something that was beyond your rules and law set to the whole dungeon before. During this period of time, they notice that some of the soldiers are collecting human hearts. At first, they don’t know what it is for but then when they disguise and pretend to be one of the collectors they found out a secret laboratory set by zeberu who were creating something. Though they don’t see what is inside that laboratory, but having this without your knowledge is completely a betrayal your majesty.” She retorted.

“So, that’s to say, whatever happened afterward was still a speculation though I admit that I don’t have any idea about his laboratory, but it is still not to be considered as a betrayal” I still defended zeberu though I could not fathom why he was doing this.

“Yes… in addition, it seems that he succeed in what he was doing because the crystal detected that there was a new monster created, and I assume that all this was his idea of rebelling against you, your majesty”. Karen exclaimed

By the time we reached the stairs leading to the giant crystal, the discussion was almost finished. However, since I had not gone over to the most important issue relating to this incident, Karen continues on pushing his conclusions though I admit that she’s right in the first place.

After it was all over, I, who had been listening quietly, nodded my head in understanding.

Although I wished to ask whether the way she handled the situation was appropriate, there were more important issues that I wanted to know about.

I looked at the giant crystal and touch it while chanting the predetermined code words:

A translucent window opened up in front which looked similar to a control panel, yet distinctly different. The window was divided into several tabs, and each page was filled with densely packed text.

This is the dungeon management system which is the busuana right now.

Inside of it, is the administrative flow of expenses: all the monster and beast I created by types and uses and all the buildings that were added? The settings could be managed from here as well. when it was still a game this kind of setting could be manage anywhere. However I found out that after I stuck in this world, this system could only be operated at the heart of dungeon, which is in the secret chambers and in this giant crystal.

The heart of the dungeon is different from the crystal that I created for busuana. Unlike busuana crystal, the dungeon heart crystal is somewhat like the mother of all crystals. Through this, I can access all floors and can manage every area of the whole dungeon while the busuana crystal is mainly for busuana to float up in the sky.

Having to come here every time is slightly troublesome… but the thing that I keep it hidden from the rest is what the price I had to pay.

With experienced movements, I opened the NPC tab.

A list of names of all of the NPCs collectively created was recorded on this page. I browsed the list from the top —— and after his eyes stopped on a single spot, I silently turned to gaze upon Karen's face.

“Yes, it has already become like this.”

Amongst the series of names in black text, only one unknown figure of question marks indicated at the bottom of all names was present. It means someone created an NPC which is impossible before.

I knew the meaning behind of this, but nonetheless——

After I repeatedly looking it for multiple times, making sure that I did not observe it wrongly, I screamed ‘impossible!’ in my mind.

“...Is it a bug from the system?”

I look at Karen. Hoping that this is all not true, maybe perhaps the transfer to this world made some changes to the system. However, the truth that Karen spoke could not be any crueler.

“If it was an error in the system, the name all of the names were in question mark also. But having only this one would only mean that he has betrayed us, your majesty?”

“Ah...you’re right. “Answering Karen in a sorrowful voice.

Although Karen said it was betrayal, the system’s meanings were slightly different. Having listed this at the NPC list was still under my jurisdiction though it is not in my direct control but being presented it in the page cannot still be called a complete betrayal.

Impossible.

Zeberu was my most loyal guardian from the rest of the NPC I created. I am really hurt because he is the first NPC I created right after I was given the option to make and he had the most sentimental value from the rest of them. But how could this happen?

Maybe I wasn’t treating them enough? But how could that be? I made sure that everyone was treated just and fairly. If that was not the case, then after being sent to this world, something beyond my knowledge had happened to cause the incident.

I recalled the boy face I had saved from the village. Correct, if there were those with innate talents with unknown powers, perhaps it was possible. If he was taught and cultivate his power then maybe he can surpass me one day.

Thinking all of this was a game was a stupid thing to do; now all I need to do is to accept that everything I know from this world changed completely though there are some that are still the same but aside from that everything completely changed.

“...Could it be an act of revenge?” I asked Karen who is at below the stairs.

“That is uncertain. However, zeberu betrayal is an absolute fact. I recommend we form a subjugation team immediately.”

Karen continued in a firm tone:

“I wish to volunteer to be the team’s commander. With your majesty permission, I would also like to appoint bakus as deputy commander, and also to select zeckery to be included in the team.”

This selection, which was the perfect lineup to eliminate zeberu, demonstrated Karen’s seriousness in the matter.

Backus is a torturer and a guardian at the same time from the prison and were part of the original guardians before but I remove him from the group and created zeckery instead and assigned him to the ice prison hell to be the guardian there.

Zeberu was extremely powerful. If you were to simply compare her to the other Guardians, he was the strongest from all of them. To win an absolute victory against him, it was necessary to send the team members Karen had spoken; otherwise, it would be considerably difficult.

“in your order, we can go and kill him right now your majesty?”

“No. It’s too early to say that he really betray me. We need to confirm and ask him the reason for this betrayal.” I answered her.

“His majesty has a really kind heart. However, no matter what his reasons are, the fact that he dared to hide this from you makes him undeserving of such kindness.”

If I were to rush with my decisions then I would regret it afterwards, so I need to think it carefully before giving orders because this type of incident may lead to war between the guardians and that’s what I need to prevent from happening.

Even if it was an absurd reason, I need to think and accept it before I will give orders.
