Chapter 18. 500 year old black fox

Chris POV

I pull out my divine ring which is gold white in color and had a diamond gem coiled by a white snake on top of it. It has a skill of divine healing which heals all kinds of wounds, poison and whatsoever that needs healing, this is somewhat made you undefeatable because of its power, in my current form I can only use it 4x a day but since I took pity of this guy I will use one for it.

" frozty kill him if it will try to kill me after I heal it. Ok!” I told frozty while making a stance for a slash if it will come to that.

" ok Chris sama, I will kill immediately if I sense even a slight hostility from it"

When I activate it skill a white transparent glow envelop the small fox and a moment later the wounds started to close up in rapid pace later on it was finally healed and the only thing that was left was the dried blood from its shiny fur.

When the fox thought that the pain was gone he look at me and then jump and tried to run away, when frozty saw this he tried to follow the fox but I stop him before doing anything.

" you don't need to catch it, I just heal it because of pity."

" what an ungrateful beast!" Frozty exclaimed.

" let's take break and rest here frozty just for 30 mins.!"

" ok Chris sama" then he sits beside me.

What a beautiful day, the sun was shining to the world giving its warm and beautiful scenery in front of us with a slight brush of the winds make my body recovered a little from the fatigue of walking.

When using the healing ring, I don't need to use my mana and it’s good that it was like that. As I tried to close my eyes for a bit I fall asleep and when I woke up frozty was still at my side and is looking for us, it seems that I sleep for hours since when we rested at this place around it was around morning but now the sun is already at its peak. I stand up and brush the leaf that sticks to my trouser while frozty just stand up and put his sword to the abyss.

As we tried to go back to our journey the fox suddenly appeared in front of us and when frozty saw this he pull the berserker sword instantly and made his position.

As I also readied my stance, I notice that the wolf just stared at us especially at me, it transformed into a beast mode and now a 6 feet tall black fox with its 8 tailed swaying and its golden eyes is staring at us his black shiny hair was shining by the hit of the sun and its muscular legs was a sign of its enormous strength.

As I saw this a sweat appeared in my small forehead, I brushed it off with my hand and pull my rings to ready my spell if it tried to attack us. When it walks towards us we started to step and attack but we halt in midway when it spoke.

" hello human, you don't need to do that, I am here to offer my thanks to this child for healing me. May I know what is your name silver-haired boy?."

I hesitate for a moment but answered anyways.

" my name is Chris and you are?"

" ohhh what a beautiful name indeed, by the way, my name is tahuro. You seem to be not an ordinary human by the items you possess especially that sword, it can kill me if you will try."

" don't worry we don't need to do that." I replied back and relax a little, but we also ready our spell anytime if in case it will use a sneak attack.

" nice meeting you tahuro but can you go back to your small form because it tires us looking at you."

" oohhhh sorry, I just wanted to show you my true form in exchange for healing me, you are the first pair of human who saw me in my true form after 50 years."

What the heck 50 years? Then I suddenly remember that it is 400 years old already.

" what is your business with us then?" I questioned him.

" I can feel an abnormal power with you, it's like that it's not your original from."

What a wise fox, it is not ordinary to guess that this is not my true form I applaud him for doing that.

" yes, its true,!" I honestly answered.

" your majesty-?" I stop him from continuing his words.

" stop before spilling anything I said to frozty with a commanding voice.

As the wolf saw me, I saw a little fear in his eyes. But it is weird because honestly he can kill us if we don't try to use our world class items and my divine rings.

Frozty stops from doing anything and remains standing then I face the fox. If you don't have anything to say we will resume our journey now.

"Sorry for my impudence but may I ask if where you are heading to?" The fox asked.

" sorry, but we don't need to tell you that." Then I started to go back to the road and started to walk."

" if you may, I can give you a ride? He tauntingly offers us.

"Hmmmmm! Why are you giving us free ride I doubt asked him.

" im very thankful for your kindness that you save me from my death and because of that I want to follow you."

I paused for a while and think. Since I need to be there quickly and I was looking for a ride anyways I will agree to this offer.

"But I don't trust you and besides you can kill us anytime you feel it too," I ask him to confirm something.

" if my guts telling me right, you are a dangerous person and that's the last thing I will do if I still value my life. And I can assure you that I will give you my loyalty to that." He assured me.

" from what I heard your race is cunning and full of trickeries? In what ways I can assure that you are telling the truth?"

" you can put a slave mark in me if that what proves my loyalty to you and it seems that you know how to do it?. A truth can be seen in his eyes while staring at me.

" hmmm mmm, just to assure my safety I will put a crest mark in you as to avoid killing me and frozty and to answer your question. Yes, i know how to do it."

The black fox walks closely to me and then stop when he reaches 5 inch away from me.

" but I need you to transform to your original form in order to do the spell," I ask him nicely.

He walks away a little bit and then he transformed to his original form and then he lowers his stance for me to reach him.

" can you lay down? " I ask him. then when he lies down I cut myself a little with the blade frozty had, then draw a crest mark in his chest and enchant it with a little magic, after doing this my blood penetrated inside and then he finally started to feel pain and cripple because of it, frozty held me and jump further away to the wolf as to not be killed while the crest started to gain control over him.

After a while the pain subsides and the fox now panting while trying to go back to its original form.

When I saw this I break free from frozty and walk towards tahuro. Then a confirmation appeared.

Tinnnnggggg.

“You successfully put a crest on a monster.

By doing this, the fox will not attack you and will swear loyalty to you.

If it tries to attack you the crest mark will activate the spell and he will suffer an indescribable pain.”

I reach my hand to him and grab his weak body then I cuddled him for a while. After he regains his strength he transformed back to his original form and let us ride on his back and we started to resume our journey back faster than I imagine.
