《Another life》Chapter 19

---Ferlike POV---
Morning comes with the sounds of bird chirping as the sign of it. I woke up, and see my son sleeping beside me.
Ah right, his room was used for the elven girl he brought back 6 months ago. I must say I didn't quite expect that he'll brought back an elf girl when I told him to made a friend.
Originally I didn't quite like the idea even after he argue with me. But, I thought ‘if this girl stay here then he won't be lonely anymore’ so in the end I accept it with that in mind. Besides I could tell in a glance that she's a blood elf and homeless.
It may sounds crazy to shelter a blood elf when I know it, but she seems to be unable to use blood magic so I guess it's okay. If she did become a threat I'll be the one to kill her..
.. Is what I would say 6 months ago. During the last 6 months Allen testing all sorts of things with the girl. He might think that I don't realize it, but I do. Why wouldn't I? Every night there's always some noises came from his room, even if it weren't that loud.
I assume that everything end well with all of the things be had been doing for the last 6 months judging by how he doesn't has this tired look anymore.
Well that's that, now then time for me to get breakfast.
I went downstairs, and see the elf girl in there cooking breakfast. Well she's an early riser. Wait that's not it.
“What are you doing?”
The girl notice me, and was startled for a second. Did I surprise her?
“Umm, I'm making breakfast.”
“Yes I can see that, what I meant was why are you cooking breakfast?”
“That's because he told me to.”
“Allen told you? I could've swor e that he's the one who's suppose to make breakfast today.”
“Oh that's because I was order by him, and I can't refuse him because of the contrac-” she quickly put his hands on her mouth and close it.
“Wait, wait explain by what you mean that you can't refuse him. Why can't you refuse? “
“Well..” She starts explaining the reason. She also start explaining what Allen had done for the last 6 months.
It would seem that this son of mine has a reason to help her in the first place. I can't believe that I didn't saw through it. Now that I think about it explains quite a lot what happened to him all this time.

Well on the bright side I know that he's not doing anything dangerous for the last 6 month except for the magic part, on the bad side he just made this girl to be his slave in order for him to laze around all day.
And to think that the real reason why he
Help this girl, make potions, and to even go as far as to learn new magics was to have her as a servant. I don't know if I should be impress by his determination, or I should be disappointed because of his motive on doing all this.
“*sigh* that son of mine. I wonder where he get's his attitude from. Well in any case, even if I want to stop him I can't, if I try I'm going to be pierce by ice spears. And most of all if I try to undo it I'm afraid I'm just going to do more harm than good. That kid do things that I don't get you know. So for now do what he told you to buy if he ever order you to do something that you don't want to tell me.”
“Of course. Now that I have finish making breakfast, should I wake him and tell him to go down to eat?”
“If you would, also be sure to splash him with cold water. Otherwise he won't wake up.”
“Umm, if you allow that, then alright. I'll do that.”
She go upstairs after our talk. Now then, time to eat and go to work.
“Hm? What's this?” I said as I picked up a letter on the table.
“Gard? Come to think of it we haven't sent letters to each other for the past 2 years. I wonder how he, and my 2 children are doing.”
I unseal the letter, and read it as I sit on the chair.
“Hmm, let's see. It seems that Lyle, and Cecilica are doing fine well that's good. Hmm, there's stuff about politics, and how his territory is doing I wonder why he write this when I don't even understand it.”
Really, why would he wrote that when he knows that I don't understand territorial management or politics.
When I finish reading it, I put it back on the table.
“Now that's done, I should start thinking what I'll do with those 2 from now on.”
With the elf joining our family I'll need to make another room, and buy all sorts of things again. but that's the least of my problem.

The problems is now that what Allen can do. From the elf story, I guess that after 6 months of testing he somehow use the forbidden soul magic. If words get out I'm afraid he's going to get hunted by a bunch of people. Great now I have another thing to hide from public.
There’s also the seals, and contract he made in 6 months. I don't even know how he learn how to seal someone's magic, and do a contract without reading any books.
On the brightside, with how smart, and how good he is with magic I bet he can be a court mage as soon as he graduations from school..
“... Damn, I totally forgot about the fact that he's going to school.”i said to myself.
How the heck could I forget about it? Now that I think about it the minimum age to enter school was 10, beside it was Cecilia who handle those kind of things so maybe that's another factor why I forgot about school..
Well it's a good thing that school starts when you're 10. There's the problem with the money, and what school will he be going too but that can be solve.
The thing most like can't be solve, is Allen. If I told him to go to school he'll most likely refuse, and we'll have another argument.
“*sigh*, in a single morning I have more troubles in my hand than how many months in a year are.”I sigh as I eat my breakfast. It was good, the breakfast that is.
---Allen POV---
“Wake up..” I heard a little girl's voice. She told me to wake up, but then again it's too comfortable in here.
“Wake up…” the voice came again, and once again I ignore it.
“Wake up..” This time my body was shaken as she told me to wake up again. Is there an earthquake?
“Wake up..” she told me, as I could feel something hitting me. She sure is persistent.
“Wake up!!!” She shout angrily.
*splash*
I could feel something cold hit my face. It's so cold that it actually force me to open my eyes.
When I did I saw the elf holding a bucket. Ahh, so that's why..
“Hey..”
“I-i’m sorry but your father told me to do it to wake you up.”
“Ahh, so that's why.. I'm hungry is breakfast ready yet?”
“Ah, yes. Please follow me.”
“Got it.” I said as I walk downstairs and dry myself with magic.
Downstairs, dad is already waiting at the table setting in a chair with his hands fold, he's also chewing as he did that.
“Morning” I said rubbing my eyes.
“Morning, now then how about you 2 take a seat. I need to talk.”
Both of us take a seat, and listen to him. I wonder what he want to say.
“*cough* Allen could you tell me what were you doing for the last 6 months?”
“Why would you ask that? Unless..” I look at Selice. When I did she turn her head, so that's how it is.
“*sigh* I should've told her to not speak of it to anyone else.”
“So you really did a contract with her?”
“Yup, but don't worry I won't do anything indecent to her.”
“Well that's good. Oh, there's also another thing I want to talk about.”
“Hm? What is it?”
“Starting tomorrow you'll be studying for school.”
“... Are you serious?”
“Yes I am.”
School? As in the so called place where you learn about things, when in actuality it's just a place where people who are superior than you order you around? No way, I refuse this.
“Do I have to? I mean, we don't have enough money to go to one. Besides big brother, and big sister didn't go to one.”
“*sigh* I know that you'll say that. First of all, you'll go to school when you're 10 like any other kids.”
“So that's why I never saw them left the house.”
“Yeah, second don't worry about a thing about the money part. I'm sure that my allowance will cover up. If not, then there's always the option me asking your grandfather some money. Besides if you get a scholarship then you won't have to pay the fee in the first place.”
“I see, but can't I just-”
“No!”
“But-”
“No! You are obligated to enter school when you're 10 and that's final.” he said as he left the house as soon as he's done with his breakfast.
“Well that's fast. *sigh* guess I'll start studying from tomorrow on. So much for my lazy lifestyle. Well then Let's eat shall we?”
Both of us eat breakfast together, and when we're done we deal with our own business.
Which is chores, and shopping for Selice. Practice some magic, making a potion, chat with Whis, and laze around all day.
At night dad came back with a few books which is probably the books that I'll need for studying. Well at least it's a lot.
After we eat dinner the 3 of us go to sleep. It was enjoyable.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

The Wu Clan's Rise: Legends of the twin dragons
The Immortal Domain is a vast cosmos consisting of the Upper Realm and the Lower Realms, both of which are controlled by the Three Great Families, the Wang family, the Lui family, and the Xue family. Each one of them holds an immense amount of power that could overturn the heavens, reverse yin and yang and change the fate of anyone or anything in the Immortal Domain as they see fit. But, with all of that being said, our story doesn't start from those ancient overpowered families in the Upper Realm, it starts from one of the countless fragmented Lower Realms, called the Wither Daemon Realm, in which there was a planet named Daiyu. On this planet, heavenly prodigies that were born with one of the thirty, rare Legendary Physiques were starting to pop up like common weeds. Longwei, born into the Wu Clan while in possession of the third rank Legendary Physique, was known as one of the six monster-level geniuses on planet Daiyu. His brother Longmin on the other hand, though was a genius in his own right, had faded into obscurity since his birth and was shunned by his own father after a certain ‘incident’. This story is the supposed legends of two dragons, who, through a journey of bloodshed and betrayal led their clan to unify the Immortal Domain and stand above trillions as the highest existence. ******* If you lovely readers can't be bothered to use your eyes, you can join my Patreon and get to stream my audio chapters like everyone else. https://www.patreon.com/TSETH Discord: https://discord.gg/tEdkhmrj5g
