《Another life》Chapter 3: 2 years later

2 years has passed since my birthday. Well it's actually 2 years,4 months,21 days, and 6 hours after my birthday but hey, who has the time to count that right?
Anywho in the span of 2 years my magic control has risen up pretty nicely. I can now cast 2 magic simultaneously, and what's more I can use it with the attribute I'm not good at.
Then again all of those magics I used are the simple ones like and creating a ball of light and such. So I don't really know if it'll be effective in combat.
Now about the talk about my family. Basically it's the same old happy and loving family, just a few differences.
Lyle is getting busier with his studies, and only have a little time to spare to do anything else.
In the morning he did some exercise and practice his sword with dad. At noon he has lessons with mom being the teacher. And in the afternoon he learn about etiquette.
Even with that busy schedule he still able to spend some time with both me and Cecilica he treats us nicely too. Such a caring older brother.
Cecilica although not as much Lyle is, is also getting busier too.
In the morning she would receive lessons from mom, and at noon she receive some etiquette. She's free for the rest of the day, and when she got bored she also come and visit me.
But then again, if she's really bored she'll play with me, and ditch her lessons. I'm slightly worried of what will happen when she grows up, will she still behave like that?
Mom, and dad are getting busier as well. They teach Lyle, and Cecilica on various things. They also have work to do, so the time I'm seeing them is lesser, but it's not like I never saw them again.
With all of my family getting busier I have more free time now. Which I spent on practicing magic , and read book.
At one point I was being taught on how to read, and write but since I've already able to do that it didn't took me long enough.
In fact when mom, and dad saw me able to read, and write easily they were so happy that they begin to shout all of the sudden, which surprise everyone in the house including me.

From the books which I read in my free time I have learn a few things too. Like the beasts and the herbs in this world, and some famous people too.
There are 2 kinds of beasts and plants. First are the normal which are the ones like a normal wolf, or a daisy.
The second one is the magical one. These types are far more rare than the average one. If i were to put it on a scale it'll be 1:100 and that's just the most common of magical beasts, and plants.
The reason why they are called “magical” is because they possess mana inside of them. They grow in places which had a high concentrate mana in the environment which they used in order to grow.
The magical ones are not only rare but stronger too, and for the plants they have some sort of special abilities/characteristics.
That's because not only did they have mana inside of them which some were able to use them, but they also experience through some sort of mutation/evolution which increase they basic specs, and give some special characteristics
So will one get anything out of it if one were to find it? Well of course they will!
First of all all of the magical beasts have a mana stone somewhere in their body this is also true for the magical plants as well but they're more useful for alchemy.
Second, almost every part of their bodies are valuable. From the teeth, to the bones, even the bloods are useful. All of them are used for different things.
For example the bones and scales are used to reinforce a weapon, while the furs are used for clothing.
And finally there's also the part where you'll be famous if you killed a high ranking one. Which I probably won't do becaus I have no reason to do so.
Not only that, from the books I also know that there’s alchemy in this world. You know, the profession where you can filtered some sand, extract the metal sand, and solidify them to an ingot.
The book didn't really explain much of it, but from what I can tell all I need to do is to gather the ingredients, draw a magic circle (apparently can be skipped), then use some Alchemy skill to make what I want.

Drawing magic circles, and using Alchemy skills may proof an obstacle but fortunately there's a book which explained the basics of magic circle, and there's also a book which tell the basic skills of Alchemy.
And the other thing that I learned from the books, are poison, and plagues. I learn this in case of emergencies. The other reason why I learn this is because it'll be extremely useful if I want to poison someone.
There's also stuffs like history of the kingdom, culinary books, martial arts guide book, and basic spells. But since I don't really need them I just ignore them. Well maybe I'll read last 2 once in a while.
An now let's go to the present. Right now me and Cecilica are being taught magic!
You see the story goes like this. While I was practicing magic one of the maids saw me doing it, and report it to mom.
At first mom didn't believe it. I mean “this is a 3 year old boy you know. How could he possibly learn magic?” Is what she said when she heard the report.
The maid keep saying that it's true and drag mom to my room. When she saw me using magic, the look on her face. It's like as if see a ghost.
Mom who saw this, decided to find a suitable teacher for me.
The problem is, no one will believe that a 3 year old kid is able to use magic they'll just think mom is one of those doting parent who think their son is a genius, and left.
Which is why mom used introduce Cecilica instead of me. The purpose of this is not only will they'll be able to find a teacher for me, but the teacher will also believe it. Beside Cecilica also want to learn magic so it's 2 birds with 1 stone.
So after a seriously searching, we finally found one! But the teacher wasn't exactly what I hope it would be.
“That's not it young lady, do it again.!”(teacher)
“Ughh..” (Cecilica)
Instead of some loli, tsundere, girl. The teacher that mom find was the old, grumpy, and nasty woman. Kind of a let down really.
“Now, how about young master try.”(teacher)
“No, I rather not.”
“It's okay if you fail. After all a 3 year old boy using magic? It's an absurd thing in the first place.” (Teacher)
Hoo, you're underestimating me? Fine then if that's the case prepare to be amazed!
“Okay.”
I held out my right hand, and begin to used magic but first.
‘Come to think of it, I heard it from dad that using magic chantlessly is a rare thing. Maybe I should use a chant?’
I pondered for a while, and finally came to a conclusion.
‘Then again, it's just bothersome so I'll just say the spell name.’
I gather the mana on to my palm, and from there a ball of light appear.
“”
“!!!”(teacher)
The teacher showed a surprised look. Hahaha, I did told you to prepared to be amaze. Oh wait, I said it in my mind so there's no way she heard it.
After a minute I make the ball of light disappear. Then I saw the face of the teacher, and Cecilica’s face. Yup, they're definitely surprised.
Cecilica then run towards me, and hug me. While the teacher is standing with a surprised look on her face.
“That's amazing Allen!” (Cecilica)
“I-impossible!” (Teacher)
Hearing the teacher's saying that, I can't help but smirk. That's what you get for underestimating me you old hag!
After successfully complete the mission which I made up in a minute, I went back to my room after excusing myself.
Why you ask? That's because I'm sleepy that's why.
Truth be told I didn't get much sleep because I keep reading books without rest, and when I want to mom came in and said that she has found a teacher for me and Cecilica.
So after I return to my bedroom, I fell asleep. Ahh, the first good sleep I had in a while

Black Wind, White Lotus
In this world, there are haves and have nots. The former are pureblooded humans, some of whom are capable of manipulating qi, the mysterious energy that flows through every living creature, to miraculous results that defy the laws of nature and physics. Wen Feili was one such cultivator. However, she allied with the have nots- the anthropomorphic hybrids incapable of channeling qi-and dabbled in forbidden demonic arts, seeking to change the very composition of reality. This did not end well for her, and she was consumed by her own flames. A decade later, far in the northwestern mountains, her daughter Wen Fengli is working as a lowly servant of the minor Shuangshan sect. In between sweeping the floor and avoiding bullies, she secretly trains with a wooden sword, hoping to become a warrior cultivator at some point in the future. However, since she's part-human, part-wolf, it's just a pipe dream. ....or so she bitterly thought. However, one day a mysterious amulet that belonged to her mother falls into her hands. A deranged old master, a terrible conspiracy, a mysterious past? None of that matters to tomboyish wolfgirl, who only seeks to become stronger. She embarks on a journey of adventure and self-discovery, towards the mysterious southern lands where pure demi-humans are said to live...as spectre of war once again envelops the world of man. This is a Chinese-themed fantasy story set in a fictional world. You can classify it as xianxia, if you wish, but it's a rather low fantasy variant; the heavenly realm is silent, no one reached immortality in generations, and magical artifacts of old are locked away and feared. Magical beasts and spirits have been driven to the corners of civilisation, and "ordinary" abilities such as flying or controlling swords through telekinesis are considered spectacular feats. The main plot of this book revolves around a kemonomimi girl who seeks power, no matter the cost. This story also features multiple character pov, and will not always follow the perspective of the mc- there are two major plotlines, one connected to conspiracy and war ongoing in the political background of the presented world, and the other focusing on the main character's physical and metaphorical journey.
