In the excitement of being promoted, I asked Jet to a date and she said yes. We met up at the appointed time, Saturday at noon. I decided to go the classic rout of movie and dinner. I choose the new action movie with more explosions than a Michael Bay film in an attempt to suit her tastes. Turns out I was right, it appears that she really enjoyed it while I toughed it out. I am a bit of a movie aficionado, so the plot holes and cg was a bit rough to say the least.

With the movie over, we headed towards a cafe to eat. We both got a sandwich, after a couple of bites I start to ask Jet some questions I really wanted to know.

“Hey Jet, why are you a villain?”

“I’ve always fought growing up and I don’t really know what else to do.”

“Why not MMA or become a hero?”

“I tried MMA and it wasn’t for me. As for being a hero, it would take forever before I could fight. How about you?”

“Nothing special. I don’t have it in me to get a degree to become an office worker and the requirements for being a hero is too much for me. For me to live a life that’s not at best middle class, it’s either this or the lotto.”

After that we talked a bit more before we left. We are walking around downtown, when we passed by an electronics store where Jet took notice.

“Hey Jasper, looks like something big is happening.”

I then looked at the t.v., where it shows a true disaster unfolding.
