Monday, 21st of October 2019 - Earth:

Solace, Eddie and Jake were trying to calm down the people.

They were not close by but they were communicating via communication devices.

Solace was in India, Eddie was in Turkey and Jake was in Japan.

They were on the verge of death but they kept the chaos going.

The meteor shower was now just outside Earth’s mesosphere.

“Why are they doing this?” Solace asked.

Even though she understands emotions and even shows it sometimes, she does not understand the behaviour before her.

“They are fighting one another… they are nearly killing one another. They are stealing and destroying… but why?”

Solace was healing as many as she could.

Anyone can use magic as long as they pay the price.

So, Eddie was just doing that.

He was using magic to help Solace heal people.

While she was healing people around her, she was also helping Jake to try and calm people down.

But it was useless.

Jake did not have the necessary skills to manipulate their emotions using his psychic powers.

But calming down billions of people was a much harder job for Solace.

She might understand and show emotions.

But…

Can she really manipulate it? What if she makes it worse?

She cannot guarantee that.

“Where the hell is Nazar?”

Solace thought about it.

He should be here now.

She left them there a few minutes ago.

So, why is he not here yet?

It will take him just a second to get here.

“He will be here soon.”

She does not know it.

But she said it anyway.

It was something of false hope.

“He will be here any minute now.”

“Hey, Solace?” Jake said.

“Yes?”

“Do you know how to manipulate emotions using telepathy? I know how to change their thoughts but not manipulate emotions.”

“Try changing their thoughts and it will lead to emotion manipulation.”

“Well, I have been doing that, but they are still angry and are in a panic.”

“I see.”

“And my reach is not very big either. So, I can’t help them all.”

“Damn it! I can’t help them all,” Eddie shouted. “These people are not listening or even trying to calm down. It’s like they are being mind controlled. If that even makes sense.”

Eddie was trying to stop them fighting but it was useless.

“I have a plan. Never tried it but I guess I will try it now,” Jake said.

“Hm?”

“What do you mean?”

“Can you increase my power levels?”

“Not as much as Nazar could do.”

“Then do it.”

“Okay.”

Jake flew up.

He used his telekinesis and flew up.

He kept on flying up.

Within a few seconds, he was a few miles above the ground.

“Done.”

He felt the power running through him.

It was not as much as when Nazar increased his power but it was nothing either.

He was stronger.

His eyes lit up with yellow energy.

(“STOP!”)

The meteor shower just entered Earth’s Stratosphere.

It was coming down faster and faster.

The gravity was pulling it down faster and faster.

It was pulling it closer.

But everyone did not pay attention. Around Jake, for hundreds of miles heard one thing.

And as they did, they felt pain in their mind.

They all held their heads in their hands.

“What--”

“It hurts!”

“Wh-what is it?”

(“Everyone… just stop! What the hell are you doing?”)

Everyone was thinking about where the voice was coming from.

But no one had an answer.

(“Most of the planet is on the verge of death… And this is what you do?”)

“It’s working?” Eddie sounded unsure.

“No, it’s just they are in pain,” Solace said.

“Oh...”

He looked disappointed.

(“We--”)

Jake trailed off.

They heard something.

“Sonic boom?”

A spark of hope could be heard in his voice.

“It could be anyone, Jake. It’s not him,” Eddie sounded annoyed. “I can do it. And a few others.”

“No,” Solace said.

She was smiling.

“It’s him.”

“And how do you know that?”

“Because the speed he is coming at… It’s faster than anyone. It shouldn’t create a sonic boom but he manipulates the world around him and creates it.”

WOOSH!!

Something flew past Eddie, who was in Turkey.

“And when you first heard it… he was in Europe.”

“Where is he going anyway?”

“The centre of it.”

“The centre of what?” Jake asked.

“To China. That is where most of the damage will be.”

“Oh.”

She moved her hand and they teleported out.

In Beijing, everyone heard a deafening sonic boom.

They had no idea what it was.

So, they tried to look up.

But before they could, they heard a loud…

THUD!!

The shockwave from his landing could be felt in neighbouring cities.

So, what was the damage in the area he landed?

Well, a few buildings started to fall.

People who were standing close to him lost their footing.

But he waved his hand and it was fixed.

The buildings and properties were fixed.

He looked up.

He raised his hand.

And then he closed his eyes.

The people were confused.

(Calculating...)

Nazar was calculating the mass, size, width, speed, etc of the meteor shower.

He was also calculating the speed of the wind, sound around him, sun rays, cosmic rays, clouds and more.

Solace, Eddie and Jake appeared next to him.

“You think he can do it?” Jake whispered to Eddie.

“Unfortunately, yes...”

Jake did not know why Eddie said that.

But Eddie had a different thought about this whole thing.

He has powers and hundreds of others do, so why is he the one who has so much power? Why is he the one who takes care of every problem?

“You know, we tried, right? But we were useless,” Jake said with a smile on his face.

“Huh?”

Jake heard Eddie’s thoughts.

He was annoyed with it.

“But having too much power… it comes with a price, doesn’t it? I wonder how boring his life is.”

“I guess so...”

“I wonder how boring his life is. Being able to do anything… Is that any fun?”

Eddie shook his head.

“No. Not being be able to do something… It has its own thrill. You can achieve new levels and move beyond that.”

Eddie and Jake both looked up to the meteor shower that was coming down.

Every second it was coming closer.

Eddie then looked at Nazar.

“Oi, do something about this.”

“He is,” Solace said.

“Hm?”

“Look.”

They all looked at Nazar and then looked at the meteor shower.

Nothing was changing.

But.

All of a sudden Nazar opened his eyes.

“Erase!”

He said a simple word.

And.

And.

“I-it vanished?!” Eddie shouted out.

Yes, the meteor shower had vanished into nothingness.

Everyone looked at the sky and saw nothing.

The meteor shower had just vanished.

It was as if it was never there.

The sky was clear again.

“Wh-what happened?”

“Nazar? What happened?”

Nazar lowered his hand and turned around.

He looked at them and smiled.

He looked guilty.

“Sorry...”

He also sounded guilty.

Why wouldn’t he?

He was going to kill billions.

So, he wanted to get away. And he wanted to fix it.

He flew up.

In less than a second, he had covered all affected areas.

He moved his hand and everything that was destroyed was fixed.

Everyone who got hurt was healed.

Everyone who died was brought back with no memory of it.

And no one knew they had lost someone.

Nazar did not want to do it. He did not want to play God again.

But they died because of his stupid plan.

They died because he was stupid.

This was his plan.

Nazar flew away and went home.

Back in Beijing, Jake and Eddie exchanged confused glances.

They both looked at each other for answers.

But they did not have it.

So, they looked at Solace who was still looking up.

“Um… What just happened?”

“Solace, do you know how he did it?”

“One second.”

She was doing calculations again.

She wanted to know if the threat was actually gone.

And she found out that it was gone.

In less than a second, the whole thing vanished.

It was as if it never happened.

“I think he used a power called ‘Erasure’.”

“Oh shit, really? Damn that power is insanely OP.”

“Huh?”

“It can erase anything. People, objects,… anything, really.”

“Wow, seriously?”

“Yeah. That is so cool.”

“But it’s also a hard power to use,” Solace said.

“How?”

“He had to do a lot of calculations. If he messed up slightly, he could have removed something else completely.”

“Oh yeah. It comes with a cost.”

Solae vanished into thin air.

“Um… they just left us here,” Jake said.

Eddie sighed.

Eddie and Jake looked around.

And they noticed how everything was back to normal.

People were back to normal.

“You know when I was inside their mind… It felt like they were being manipulated by someone. From outside.”

“What do you mean?”

“Someone was controlling them. Someone powerful. But as soon as I entered their minds… they left. Not that I was stronger-- I was much weaker. But they left. I don’t know why.”

“Shit, seriously?”

Jake nodded.

“I need to find out who it is.”

“I will help you. And we should ask Nazar. That would make this easier.”

“Okay. Cool with me.”

The people are them got on with their normal lives.

They went home and continued with their lives.

“I have a teleporter. I will send you home.”

“Lucky.”

“Yep. You should ask Nazar. He will give you one.”

“Cool.”

Jake placed his hand on Eddie’s shoulder and they were teleported out.

Bengaluru, India:

A woman was sitting in a train station.

She looked very out of place with the way she was dressed and how she looked like.

She was a tall and thin girl. With a very long silver hair that touched her waist.

She had red eyes.

Her skin was white.

Her lips were the same colour. If you did not look closely, you wouldn’t even notice it.

She looked human but at the same time, she did not look human.

She had two fangs in her teeth.

She was wearing battle armour.

Well, not exactly an armour. It was just an armoured bikini. The bikini was white except for the armoured areas.

The armour had a thick metal plate on both of her breasts.

And she was wearing normal pants.

…………………………………….. But why?

It's not like she can protect herself with this, can she?

She was also wearing golden boots. Those boots covered her leg until her knees.

Those golden boots had small black areas here and there.

She was sitting down and she was not moving.

A train moved past her at a very fast speed and it produced wind.

As it did, her hair flapped.

Her silver hair covered her face.

As it covered her face, her eyes lit up with red energy.

She raised her hand and moved it.

“”

She spoke in an unknown language.

“”

She clenched and unclenched her fist.

“”

She flew up.

She kept on flying.

She easily managed to leave the Earth’s orbit.

She looked down upon the world and giggled.

“”

Behind her, a portal appeared.

“”

That portal swallowed her.
