Arc 65 - Powerless - Part 7
Nazar was sitting down in the living room and was making something.
“Nazar? What are you doing?” Emma asked.
“Do you remember what you told me the other day?”
“Yes?”
“Well, can I ask you to change something in it?”
“What is it?”
“Can I kill immortals?”
“Immortals can die?!” Emma sounded surprised.
“How many times did I die? Immortals can die but they just cannot stay dead.”
“Oh...”
“So, what do you say?”
Emma thought for a minute.
“Fine. You can kill them.”
“Thanks.”
“So, what are you doing now?”
“I am rebuilding Solace from scratch. And building her differently. I should have learned my lesson a long time ago.”
“Hm?”
“Some time ago, my nanites were hacked into. I was going to make full changes to it, but I just couldn’t be bothered with it.”
“I see,” Emma said while nodding her head.
“So, I am changing everything about my tech.”
“So, what happened?”
“Well, we were thrown through time. And nearly died… many times.”
“Seriously?”
“Yeah. I even died once but came back to life. And Laura got shot with an arrow, then got her legs broken.”
“You died? And she got shot with an arrow.” Emma sounded surprised.
“I was powerless.”
“Wait, what?” Emma seemed even more surprised.
“I am kind of busy. I need to first fix the communication problems and then fix other things. As soon as I am done with it, I will tell you everything that happened. Sorry.”
“Okay. But can I watch? I want to see how you build these things.”
“Of course.”
Tuesday, 30th of July 2019:
Nazar finally finished rebuilding Solace. And she was built differently than before. All communication problems were solved. He rebuilt all of his technology. He rebuilt his spaceship once again.
It was morning when Emma entered the room.
Nazar was sitting down on a sofa.
“Were you working all night?”
“Yes. But I managed to finish everything.”
“So, are you free now?”
“Yeah, sit down. I will tell you everything that happened.”
Nazar then told her everything that happened.
“That’s… I don’t even know how you deal with these kinds of things.”
Nazar chuckled.
“I don’t.”
“So, did her brother really kill Emily?”
“I don’t want to believe it… but it is what happened. And I don’t blame him.”
“But you said that you didn’t kill his parents?”
“He does not know that. And I only told Laura just recently. Plus it was that bastard, the Nameless One, my god. I think he might have manipulated his mind or maybe even controlled him.”
“The Nameless One, huh?”
“He is a bastard that is responsible for the creation of angels. Of course, it did not create them, but it is still responsible for their creation. It tried to destroy everything so the Supreme One created Lucifer to fight him. Then later on that being created other angels and demons. For reasons unknown.”
There was a little silence.
“So, are her legs okay now? And what about her wound from an arrow?”
“She is fine. I healed her fully.” Nazar paused for a little while. “Did you give her change of clothes?”
“I don’t think any of my clothes will fit her.”
“Why?”
“Have you not seen her bust size?”
“I have. They are unnecessarily big. I gave her a shirt and all the buttons fell down.”

“Wait, what? What happened?”
“When I told you about how she was abducted and how I was led to a decoy?”
“Yes?”
“Well, when I found her, her top was gone and she was only wearing a bra. So, I gave her a spare pair of clothing. And when she buttoned up all the buttons on the shirt, after a few seconds they fell apart.”
“I see you two have been spending quality time.”
“Really? I don’t see it that way.”
“Did you two have heart-to-heart?”
“What? No.”
“Hm?”
“Remove that grin off your face.”
“No, I am serious. Did you two have a heart-to-heart?”
“No. I am serious, too.”
“Well, that is disappointing.”
Emma stood up.
“Are you hungry?”
“Let’s go somewhere to eat. Like a restaurant on another side of the planet.”
“You know, I can cook, right?”
“So can I.”
“Let me guess, just chicken wings?”
“Haha… I watched Shokugeki No Souma/Food Wars, so I know how to cook.”
“Oookaayyy...”
“No, I am serious. I cannot forget once I see something. Do you want to see my cooking? It’s better than yours.”
“Oh? Do you really want to go there?”
“Let’s have a cooking match.”
“No.”
“This is an instant win for me.”
“Okay, you can take it.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes. The strong should go easy on the weak.”
“Really?”
At that moment, Laura entered the room.
She looked confused.
“How did we get back?” She asked as soon as she entered the living room.
“I got my powers back.”
“When?”
“When I died?”
“Really?”
“Yeah. When I died, my powers came back. I should have tried it earlier.”
“And if it didn’t work?”
“Well, we both would have been dead by now.”
There was a little silence.
“Do you want to take a shower?” Emma said to Laura.
“Yeah, thanks.”
“Okay, follow me.”
“Wait,” Nazar said. “One second.”
Both Laura and Emma looked back.
He reached to the table in front of him and picked something up.
“Here,” Nazar said as he threw something towards Laura. “Nanite based clothes.”
“Thanks.”
“Wait, when do I get mine?” Emma said.
“Here,” Nazar threw something to Emma. “Just place it anywhere on your clothes. It will recreate those clothes of yours in any way you want it.”
Emma did as Nazar said.
“Then what do I do?”
“Just think about clothes you want to wear and it will change into that.”
Emma was wearing a tracksuit but now her dress had turned into a red one.
“Wow! This is so cool.”
“And Laura?”
“Yes?” Laura replied immediately.
“You owe me a shirt. And a sports top.”
“...”
“How rich are you?” Emma said.
“I have a few billion.”
“Wait, you have a few billion?!”
“Yes...”
“Where did you get it from?”
“I stole it.”
“You stole it?!”
“Well, I never got paid for the experiments, so I stole it from him.”
Emma sighed.
“Wait, if you are this rich, why do you need her to buy you a shirt and sports top?”
“Because those were mine?”
“Don’ worry, I will get you one,” Laura said.
“I was just joking.”
“Why did you not tell me you had that much money?” Emma asked.

“Because you never asked?”
“Can you buy me something?”
“Yeah. What do you want?”
“I want a new gaming PC.”
“...”
Nazar just had a blank expression on his face.
“Disgusting!” Nazar said after a little while.
“What?”
“Games are disgusting.”
“Have you ever played any?”
“...No. Which is why I find them disgusting.” Nazar said slowly. “Anyway, I will build you the best gaming PC.”
Nazar then tapped his left palm and a screen appeared.
“Solace, build the best gaming PC. With the highest resolution, video memory, RAM, storage, and anything else that are needed for gaming.“
- Okay, Master. -
“Thanks,” Emma said.
Nazar then waved his hand and Lian appeared.
“What? Did you really miss me that much?” Lian said as soon as she appeared.
“Absolutely not. I brought you here to say one thing.”
“Hm?”
“I hate all of your people.”
“Isn’t that racist?”
“Don’t give a shit.”
Lian looked around a little.
“So, this is my future family?”
“No.”
“So, who is she?” Lian said as she looked at Emma.
“That’s my sister.”
She then went closer to Emma and shook her hand. Emma just went along with it, even though she was confused.
“Hi, I am Lian. Nazar’s future bride.”
Nazar just sighed.
She then looked at Laura.
“And who is she?”
“She is Laura.”
“Oh, the one you rejected me for?”
“Huh?”
“Is it her chest? Mine is pretty big, too.”
Nazar just sighed.
“Fine, why did you call me here for?”
“Do you know about the prophecy?”
“Prophecy?”
“About me?”
Lian thought about it for a minute.
“No. Nothing.”
“Okay, you useless alien. So, what do you know about the Nameless One?”
“No.”
“I don’t think Weq can give me the information now. He does not really trust me, so can you contact him and ask him about the Nameless One? Please?”
“Yeah, sure.”
Lian contacted Weq using a communication transmitter. After a few minutes, she hanged up and spoke to Nazar.
“He has no idea either.”
“Damn it,” Nazar muttered.
He closed his eyes for a minute and then opened them suddenly.
“Oh, I can ask Aarin. Why did I not think of this earlier?”
“Who is Aarin?”
“She is an angel.”
“An angel?!” Lian shouted in surprise. “I thought the rumours were wrong.”
Nazar stood up.
A few moments later, a bright white light appeared in the room. And Aarin appeared. She looked around in confusion at first but then she saw Nazar.
As soon as she saw him, she hugged him.
“I am sorry about Emily,” Aarin said.
“I have no idea what to say in this situation,” Nazar said.
“Wait, is this another rival of mine?” Lian said.
Aarin looked at her in confusion.
“Who is she?” Aarin said.
Before Nazar could ask, Lian spoke.
“I am his future bride.”
Aarin looked between Nazar and Lian.
“She is just joking,” Nazar said.
“Oh, okay. I was getting a little happy that you found someone.”
“Wait, why is she approving of this? Isn’t she supposed to be my rival in love?”
“No,” Aarin almost shouted. “I always saw Nazar as my son.”
“I don’t know why, though,” Nazar added.
“Hi, future mother-in-law,” Lian said as she waved her hand.
Nazar sighed.
“Aarin, can I ask you something?”
“Yes.”
“Do you know the Nameless One?”
Aarin’s expression changed. She looked serious now.
“I could not find anything about him.”
“Seriously?”
“Yes.”
“Wait, why were you researching the Nameless One?”
“I don’t know. I had this name popping up in my head after my meeting with Lucifer. So, I wanted to check it out.”
“Lucifer,” Nazar muttered. “What is that bastard playing at?”
“How do you know about him?”
“Well...”
Nazar then told her what happened and how he is related to the being known as the Nameless One.
“Holy crap,” Aarin muttered. “So, maybe that is why you are invisible to us?”
“...?” Nazar tilted his head a little in confusion.
“You did not know?”
“Know what?”
“Well, you are invisible to us. Invisible to even someone like Michael.”
“And Lucifer,” Lian added.
Nazar and Aarin immediately turned his gaze towards her. Emma and Laura just listened to their conversation.
“Kiet said that Lucifer said something about you being invisible to him.”
“That’s kind of cool,” Nazar said slowly. “But wait. When I was taken in by Death 100, how did you know about what condition I was in?”
“I saw until then but you disappeared after that. Stadiel, the Angel of Knowledge said that you were subconsciously ‘allowing’ me to see you.”
There was a little silence.
“But the Nameless One is supposed to be outside of the multiverse. So, when he came here, why did no one notice him?”
“He has been here for a while.”
“Then it means that he has been coming here and going out… but none of the angels has been able to record him. I must let them know.”
“Okay, you do that.”
And just like that, Aarin vanished into thin air.
“Where did she go?” Emma asked.
“Heaven,” Nazar replied casually.
However, the others were surprised.
- Master, the multiversal transporter is ready. -
“Thanks, Solace.”
“Multiversal transporter?”
“Multiversal transporter?”
“Multiversal transporter?”
“I need answers. And I will need to contact other Nazar’s for that. I will use that to gather data about the Nameless One too. And while I am looking for answers, Solace and I will also search for the Nameless One.”
- I have been following his energy trail around the multiverse. -
“Good,” Nazar said. “Get it ready, we are leaving.”
“Wait, she is going with you, right?” Emma said.
“Of course. If she stays here, she dies.”
“But what if she gets in trouble?”
Nazar thought for a minute.
“I will do something about it.”
“Are you going now?”
“Yes.”
“Wait, a few hours or so. She still needs to take a shower. Unlike you, some people like to keep themselves clean.”
“Huh? What do you mean?”
Emma just chuckled.
“Fine. We will leave later.”
“So, do you want to go on a date with me?”
“Lian, I don’t like you.”
“Rude.”
“Anyway, did you find out about the magic?”
“No. I am still analysing it.”
“You need help?”
“So, you just want to spend some more time with me before you go?”
“You know what, even if you get attacked by someone and are about to die, I will not help you.”
“Okay fine. I will be going home soon. So, where is my goodbye kiss?”
Nazar just waved his hand and she vanished.
Nazar sighed.
“She is really annoying...”
“Wait, who was she?” Emma said.
“She is an alien princess… wait, no, she is just an alien magician.”
There was a little silence.
“I guess I will just sleep until you are ready. And Solace?”
- Yes, Master? -
“Double check all tech. Make sure everything is working. And make sure all the tech is independent. I don’t want to repeat my mistakes.”
- Okay, Master. -
Nazar closed his eyes and he was asleep.
“How does he fall asleep so quickly?” Laura asked in confusion.
“I have no idea...”
A few hours later:
Nazar opened his eyes.
“Solace?”
- Yes, Master? -
“Have you checked everything?”
- Yes. -
“Good.”
Nazar stood up.
“It’s time to take a trip down the multiverse.”
- And I will accompany you. -
“What can I do without you?”
Nazar looked around.
“Is Laura ready?”
- Yes. She has been waiting for you for hours. -
“Where is she?”
- She is in the back garden. -
“Okay.”
Nazar phased through walls and reached the back garden in no time.
Laura and Emma were talking.
“Let’s go, Laura,” Nazar said as soon as he came through the wall.
“Already?” Emma said.
“Well, I want to finish this as soon as possible.”
“Okay.”
Emma hugged him and said, “Be careful.”
She then whispered something in Nazar’s ear.
“Keep a close eye on her. I don’t think she is feeling well.”
“Her vitals are perfectly normal,” Nazar whispered back. “Her body temperat--”
“I am talking about emotionally.”
Nazar sighed.
“Okay.”
“So, when are you coming back?” Emma said. She was no longer whispering.
“No, idea. Maybe days or even weeks.”
Emma then hugged Laura, which confused her.
“You be careful too, okay?”
“Okay,” Laura replied.
“Solace, open a portal to Earth-2.”
- You mean Universe-2? -
“No, I am calling it Earth-2. And so are you.”
- Yes, Master. -
A portal opened.
- A portal to Earth-2 is open now. -
Nazar held Laura’s hand.
“Don’t look at things. You will see things that you don’t have here and really want it, but don’t trail off. Don’t let go of my hand. If you fall to the wrong place, you could die immediately. Or if you survive, something even worse might happen.”
“Okay.”
Emma burst into laughter.
Both of them turned around to see why she was laughing.
"Nothing... it's nothing." Emma said while holding back her laughter.
He and Laura then jumped through the portal.
Both Nazar and Laura saw things that were supposed to be. Things that could happen. Things that happened without them knowing. Things they wished happened.
After a few seconds, the arrived at their destination.
They appeared on the moon of Earth-2.
Laura looked around in confusion.
“Why did we come here?”
“I came here just in case if my counterparts were here, too.”
Laura looked towards Earth. And she looked confused.
“Wait, is that really Earth?”
“What the…?”
Nazar looked confused too.
“The blue planet is red planet now?” Nazar looked closely and his eyes widened with horror and surprise. “It cannot be...”
“Wh-what is it?”
“Earth is the new hell… Zerathos has won in this universe...”
