Arc 45 - Illusion

Norse God. A human with the power of Norse God, much similar to Shazam/Captain Marvel. Edward Hunt, the Norse God, has many powers of Norse Gods. Besides that, he can also use magick. Demonic magick.

A few seconds ago, Nazar and the others turned their guards down, so when Edward attacked them in surprise, it caught them off-guard. However, Nazar was able to react before the lightning reached them and teleported out the others.

Nazar stayed behind with Reaper.

Now, Nazar and Reaper both shot themselves towards Edward Hunt.

“Go right,” Nazar said to Reaper as they flew towards Edward, who was just about 20 meters in the air.

Reaper nodded.

Reaper went before Nazar and tried to hit Norse God, but he blocked his attack.

However, Edward was slammed to the ground by Nazar. Nazar had kicked him in his neck, which threw him to the ground.

Edward shot himself towards Nazar, but he was thrown back to the ground by Nazar.

In less than a second, Nazar had used multiple combos. A punch in Edward’s right cheek and then in his left. Then a knee in the stomach. Then a kick in his right sides, breaking his ribs and then a headbutt.

Edward was thrown away, but he got up again.

This time Nazar used his heat vision and burned his face. He did this because he knew that he could heal.

Edward slowly got up. He was in pain.

He looked up to Nazar and shouted.

“Just… how can you land a hit on me? I… I have precognition. Then… then why can I not predict your attack?”

Nazar did not attack in the meantime. He just floated above him and smiled.

“I have immunity. Precognitive Immunity.”

Edward’s eyes widened with shock.

Seeing that surprised face, Nazar wanted to intimate him even more.

“I have so many powers that I lost count. Reality restoration, healing others, resurrection, summoning, energy manipulation, matter manipulation, telepathy, telekinesis, time manipulation, absolute immortality and absolute reincarnation, are just to name a few.”

Nazar then came down. He was still floating a few centimetres above the ground.

“So, tell me who gave you powers?”

“A-a woman.”

Nazar frowned as he heard that.

He then punched Edward in the face, which led to him losing a few of his teeth. However, they were replaced mere seconds later.

“There are trillions and trillions of women around the universe. You have to be more specific.”

Edward did not reply. He instead starting shooting lightning bolts everywhere.

Nazar sighed as he took in all the attacks from Edward.

Norse God then cast a magical spell.

The magical spell was simple. Illusion. Illusions that showed multiple versions of himself trying to attack Nazar and Reaper.

However, he was stopped in his tracks after a second. The illusion had disappeared.

“I forgot to tell you this, but I also have Illusion Manipulation.”

For the first time in a while, Edward felt true fear.

“Just… just what can you not do?”

“Hmm… I am walking talking plot armour. So, everything?”

As Norse God heard that, he roared. He unleashed everything he had. Lightning, magical spells, and everything else he had at his disposal.

He threw everything at Nazar.

However, all the attacks were redirected and he got hurt instead.

“Wh-what?”

“Vector Manipulation.” Nazar paused. “Used by Accelerator, Simon AKA Simon Utrecht, and Sale to name a few. This ability allows me to redirect all your attacks once it touches me or if it touches something like a telekinetic barrier of mine.”

Nazar’s face was ripped in half with a smile.

“So, when you shot your lightning at me, I just changed the vectors and sent them back to you. And I also increased its damage.” Nazar added.

Reaper just watched. He has quantum manipulation which allows him to use many different powers, but when it comes to quantity, Nazar has him outnumbered.

Edward could not do anything but watch in horror.

His wounds were healed.

Instead of getting up this time, he stayed on the ground while looking up in horror.

“G-get away.” Edward paused.

Nazar’s hand lit up with yellow energy. He then slammed his fist into Edward’s stomach, which led to Edward coughing some blood.

He rolled in pain and then...

He then laughed. As he laughed, he started sending sparks everywhere.

Nazar stopped smiling. He was confused.

“Die. Die. Die.” Edward shouted over and over again while laughing.

Nazar’s eyebrows twitched.

He then looked at Reaper.

“Take care of him. I will be back in a minute.”

Reaper did not understand what he meant, but he continued to charge towards Edward at high speed.

Edward was going to attack Nazar, but he knew it was pointless, so instead, he changed his target.

Nazar’s eyes lit up with blue energy.

He started using telepathy and entered Edward Hunt’s mind.

Inside the mind of Norse God:

Nazar entered Norse God’s mind. However, he did not find the same thing he would find in a regular mind. It was nothing but darkness.

Nazar moved through his mind and found something odd. There is more than one presence here.

There is a small light which belongs to Edward Hunt, but the rest of his mind is covered in dark fog.

He moved through the darkness towards the light, but something appeared in front of him.

Demons. They looked a lot like the ones Nazar saw in Battlefield 5.

The demons attacked him and he was easily overwhelmed. Within seconds, he had to pull out of Edward’s mind.

Back in the real world, Nazar started panting. He had used too much psychic energy to just get out of there.

He then waved his hand and created an energy barrier around Norse God.

Norse God, who was floating in the air was shooting lightning bolts towards Reaper, but when the shield appeared around him, he increased his damage, but it did not do anything against the shield.

Reaper seemed a little surprised. He tried it a few seconds ago, but it did not work.

“There is at least 2 presence in his mind.”

“What?” Reaper said as he appeared next to Nazar.

“I don’t know how to explain it, but it does answer a few questions about his behaviour.”

(Turn off power limiters.)

And just like that, he removed all limiters and was back to normal.

Once he turns off the limiters, all his powers activate, but usually, he gets rid of the necessary powers like nigh-omnipresence.

“I am going to go in again.”

And just like that, Nazar went inside Edward’s mind once again and left the physical battle to Reaper.

Inside the mind of Norse God:

Nazar found himself in the darkness once more.

The demons surrounded him once more.

“It’s a telepathic battle. You just have to have good skills and tricks up your sleeve.”

Nazar’s eyes lit up with blue energy.

All the demons started to surround him once more, but this time they could not get close to him.

There was a shield around him.

“In a telepathic battle, everything in here is illusions,” Nazar said. “So, I just need to create a powerful construct in this mind.”

Nazar walked in this darkness and the demons continued pounding the shield that surrounded Nazar.

Nazar waved his hand and angels appeared in this darkness.

At first, it was little white spots, but then they increased. After a few seconds, it looked like a starry sky.

The angels came down towards the demon at full speed.

Neither the demons or the angels were real. So, their strength was determined by how powerful the psychic is and what kind of tricks they have.

The angels and demons clashed in the darkness. They both used energy based swords.

CLANG!!

And little sparks came out of their battle.

Nazar did not bother to analyse it, but when he looked up, he could see sparks and could hear the sound of swords clashing with one another.

Nazar then walked towards his target, the little light in this mind.

As Nazar worked on tracking the little light, the number of demons increased.

So, Nazar also increased the number of angels.

After a few minutes of going around in Edward’s mind, Nazar saw the little light.

The demons were focused on angels, so Nazar destroyed all the constructs. He no longer needed to control the telepathic constructs.

He reached the little light and saw Edward Hunt before getting his powers.

He looked very pale. His right leg was missing and his left eye did not work properly. He was wearing a Captain Marvel/Shazam t-shirt and blue jeans. His hair was not particularly styled. It looked like he had just woken up from sleep.

Edward was crying as he tried to keep his memories around. He clenched closely to his memories like a trying to keep water in the ocean with just his hands.

Nazar reached his hand with a smile on his face.

Edward was confused now. He did not know what was going on, but after a little while, he accepted Nazar’s help to stand up.

As they both stood up, the demons got close to them.

Nazar’s eyes and right hand lit up with blue energy.

He then slammed his right hand in the darkness.

After a few seconds, blue light travelled everywhere in this mind. The darkness was replaced by a blue light.

Nazar’s eyes went back to normal and then mind went back to normal. The darkness was gone and the light took over the mind.

The memories that were lost, are now back. They all flew from the little light and spread across in the new light.

Nazar left Edward’s mind.

Reaper wanted to charge again, so he could keep Norse God busy, but he stopped. The reason was simple. Norse God stopped attacking and landed on the ground.

Reaper was confused and so was Edward.

“What happened?” Reaper asked as he appeared next to Nazar.

Norse God was a few meters away. He looked like he was confused as well. He also seemed surprised. He checked his body and was surprised.

He touched his right leg and it was there. He then placed his hand on his left eye and look around with one eye. Then he removed it and could see perfectly fine.

He kept touching his body while started to laugh in happiness.

“I removed the other presence, but I am not sure if it is gone forever,” Nazar replied to Reaper’s question.

Norse God walked closer towards Nazar.

“N-Nazar?”

Nazar turned his gaze away from Reaper and towards Edward.

“Wh-where am I?”

“The moon of Planet Xiem.”

Edward’s eyes widened with surprise. And then the surprise was soon replaced by excitement.

“Really?” Edward shouted in excitement. His eyes were sparkling. “I am on another freaking planet?”

“Technically, it is the moon...”

He then noticed something.

“Ho-how am I able to breath--”

“You have powers.”

As Nazar said that, his excitement became uncontrollable.

He started dancing and singing “I have powers.”

“Don’t you remember?”

As Nazar said that, Edward’s shoulder dropped a little. He lowered his gaze.

“The last thing I remember is seeing a woman who asked me if I wanted powers.”

“So, why were you acting differently just a second ago?”

“... I don’t know.”

He then looked around and saw Reaper standing next to Nazar.

“Long black coat. Black clothes. Black hair. And a gun.” Edward’s eyes sparkled once more. “It’s a space punisher.”

Nazar turned his gaze towards Reaper and thoroughly examined him.

“Yeah. I didn’t notice it earlier.”

...”

Reaper felt really uncomfortable as he saw them staring at him.

At that moment, Nazar teleported the others in here.

They all looked confused and were a little bitter towards Edward.

“It’s okay. For now.” Nazar said to the others. “He was being controlled by someone. They were using his memories and experience and desires and twisted it around.”

Nazar then asked Kiet to explain the situation to Edward Hunt.

As he heard that, he literally started to cry in front of everyone.

“I… I always wanted to be able to do something… but not like this. Why did I have to be a villain?”

Nazar placed his hand on Edward’s shoulder.

“You were being controlled. You can still be a hero.”

Edward looked up to Nazar and said, “Like you?”

Upon hearing that, Nazar rolled his eyes.

“Anyway, Kiet, do you have any new information regarding the war. Has anything changed?”

“Well, the war has scattered around. The warships have moved to other empires and attacking each other randomly. It has gotten out of control and my empire is winning this.”

“Shouldn’t you be happy that you are winning?”

“I don’t want the old ways of our empires to return. I don’t want everyone to be at each other’s throats.”

Nazar was kind of confused. When they first met, he had taken Aria hostage and wanted to fight Nazar head on.

“Anyway, as I said earlier, these guys are from other empires. They want the same thing.”

Nazar then looked at Reaper.

“So, how does your son looks like?”

Reaper was shocked when he heard that.

“...”

“I have Nigh Omnipresence.”

“Well, his name is Ziet. He looks a lot like me. However, his skin is a little green and his eyes are green, too. He is about 2 meters tall.” Reaper paused. “I have not seen him in a long time, so I am pretty sure he has changed a little.”

“That should do it.”

(Nigh Omnipresence. Just present. Ziet.)

Nazar pictured the person and he should be able to just see that person.

However, as the description is a little old, he would need to improvise.

After a few minutes, Nazar had found Reaper’s son.

(Turn off Nigh Omnipresence.)

“Found him. He is on a planet called Mial.”

Reaper looked surprised.

“Mial...”

“Here are the coordinates.”

Nazar then placed his index finger on Reaper’s forehead, which sent the image and the location directly into Reaper’s mind.

“Anyway, is that the right person?”

“Y-yes. Thank you.” Reaper replied slowly.

Kiet came close to Reaper and placed his hand on his shoulder.

“You should go now. Leave this to us.”

“To us? I am not stopping something you guys started.” Nazar butted into their conversation.

They all looked rather disappointed.

“Th-then I will do it,” Edward said as he clenched his fist.

And now they were confused.

Nazar released a sigh.

“I guess I am better than him.”

Edward turned his gaze towards Nazar and smiled.

“You are such a tsundere.”

“NO, I AM NOT!” Nazar shouted back.

However, Edward just laughed.

“That’s what a tsundere would say.”

Nazar then punched him in the face, which threw him away.

Edward returned a few seconds and he could not stop laughing.

"And that's what a tsundere would do."

They went at it for a while. Well, it was mostly Edward teasing Nazar and then Nazar punching him in the face or burning him with his heat vision.

After a little while, they started strategizing on what to do. Reaper had already left.

“Norse God, attack everything. The battleships should keep the soldiers safe until it is rebuilt.”

Kiet then turned his gaze towards Nazar.

“Nazar, gather all three leaders and force them into a peace. You are the only who can intimidate them.”

Nazar clicked his tongue in annoyance.

“We will do whatever we can to throw off our troops. While the leaders are gone, we are the next in line, so we will try and get our troops back.”

“And I will go and learn about the demonic magick that was reeking of Norse God. I will try to find out who was using it and what the effects of this magic are.” Weq said.

Nazar looked at Edward and he narrowed his eyes. He was looking at all energies leaving his body and the ones that are surrounding him.

“It looks like your powers are permanent, but the demonic energies are gone. There is a trail but you no longer have it. Also, you cannot use magic anymore unless you learn other forms of spells.”

Edward nodded.

Weq teleported out.

Kiet, the prince of Vanaha Empire. Hial, the prince of Duluria Empire, and Lian, a close friend of the High Priestess, they all teleported out to their empires.

Nazar then looked at Edward.

“Do you know where you need to go, Edward?”

“Yes, but it will take me a few minutes. It is not far from here.” He paused. “And please call me Eddie. It is much easier to say.”

“I will teleport you there instead.”

Nazar got the location of the battle from Edward’s mind.

Nazar then waved his hand and then Edward was teleported out. He found himself in the main battlefield, which was taking place at the edge of Andromeda Galaxy. It was away from the capitals of both empires.

Nazar thought for a second. He then teleported out.

After a few seconds, the whole place was completely empty. All of them had left.

After a few minutes, a faceless woman appeared. She did not teleport in, she was standing here and she was invisible. Even to Nazar and Reaper.

“Well, Eddie turned out to be a disappointing pawn.”

She sighed.

“Didn’t expect to see him here.”

The faceless woman walked slowly.

“I thought he would be busy, just for a little longer.”

The woman then transformed into someone else. She transformed into the being known as Mother, from Vanaha Empire.

“Well, I guess it is time for me to test how powerful he really is.”

She then looked up.

“I want to see if Zerathos was telling the truth.”

A smile appeared on her face.

“Well, I did not calculate his arrival, but I have other tricks under my sleeve.”

Then a small PDA appeared in her hand out of nowhere.

“Now, then. Shall we get started?”
