Arc 28 - New Internal Order

Wednesday, 26th of June 2019:

“Welcome to your new home,” Nazar said with a smile on his face.

Everyone in here was surprised, except for Laura Marino.

“As of today, ANTF, ANT, and NSE are disbanded,” Laura added as she stood next to Nazar and in front of every other employee of Internal Order. “We will be operating as Internal Order. Our main goal will be to help people in need across the world.”

Nazar had remodelled his base on the moon. It used to be at the centre of the moon, but now he brought it back up. He had kept his own space untouched, but he has added hundreds of other bedrooms, training facilities, swimming pools, cafeteria and other stuff.

“You are to go back to Earth and live your life the way you want,” Nazar said. “You will need to choose your own codenames and be superheroes and help people. The world does not need soldiers anymore. It needs people they can rely on when the worst comes. They need hope. They need supermen.” Nazar paused. “Of course, you will be paid for it. You will get a monthly salary plus any other kind of personal expenses you might need. I will pay for it.”

Upon hearing that, Laura moved closer and whispered something to Nazar.

“And where will you get that money?”

Nazar whispered back. “Well, when you can turn rock into diamond, it is not very hard to be rich.”

Nazar just smiled again and looked towards the superhumans in front of him. They had a hint of disbelief in their eyes. They did not trust Nazar and he was expecting that.

“I know you don’t trust me, but the threat for Earth is bigger than us now,” Nazar said. “We need to help humanity without the need for others.”

“I am pretty sure you can fix the whole world in a day,” 002 said. “And I am pretty sure you can do anything. So, why ask us?”

“Hmm… I just cannot be bothered. And I am not the most trusted person around.”

As Nazar said, he ignored the chatter in the room. He had already taken care of all ANT that ever existed.

He showed around to Laura.

The place did not have windows or doors, but it can create any entrances the user wishes. The whole place is made of nanites. It expands and shrinks as the users require it. They can decorate the room with anything they need.

There were about 1,000 bedrooms for superhumans. They can use this to live here if they want and they can also use it to store their stuff or study their powers. In order to go to your room, you have to use teleportation. It can also be accessed through a hallway, but it is too long.

There are many training areas. The training areas are completely digital. Nazar has made sure that there are enough training areas for all the superhumans. They can train any way they want. They can use the computers to turn the room into any kind of environment they wish and they can even create an imaginary opponent.

For example, someone like 002 could input the name of a fictional character like Colossus and fight against him due to similarities in power. The room will use all the data on the character and prepare a proper fight between these two.

Furthermore, the whole facility is equipped with teleportation technology. This means that if someone wants to go to Earth to train their powers, they can do that. For example, training in this facility will be not very ideal for 022 whose power is weather manipulation.

Besides the training facilities, there are swimming pools and a cafeteria.

There is also an office for Laura, where she can do all her tasks.

Nazar has his place there too. He has a bedroom and a control room full of computers. He also had a library that was only accessible from his bedroom. This library is full of comics, manga, anime, light novels and other fictions. This morning, he placed it somewhere where everyone can use it. He also added scientific books and other types of books too for these people to use.

After the introduction was over, Nazar teleported out. He said he was going to meet someone.

As Nazar left, the superhumans left too. Laura was completely left alone. She was just an assistant, but now she is running the organisation. She kind of felt alone, so she left the base too. She went to meet her brother. After all, they just got reunited.

In Venice, Nazar appeared in Aria’s house. It belonged to his aunt, who he knows hates him, but he needs to talk to Aria.

As he appeared in the living room, Aria was there too. She looked like she was waiting for him.

As soon as she saw him, she jumped and hugged, which bugged Nazar.

“I just killed you yesterday,” Nazar said. “Shouldn’t you… I don’t know, hate me?”

She smiled and said, “Why? Who gets to have a family member who is basically Superman and not be happy about it?”

“Um… my sister?”

Nazar always pushed Emma away, but he always considered her his sister. Even though they were not blood-related, he loved her more than his own family, even if he always hid it.

Nazar got away from Aria and sat down on the sofa. His aunt and her husband were sitting there as well. They… did not look too happy. Who would be happy to see someone who ruined their life?

“Okay, we need to talk,” Nazar said as he ignored the angry emotions coming of his aunt and her husband. “How do you feel?”

As Nazar asked, she sat next to him.

“What do you mean?”

“Well, I have died a few times, but I don’t really see any difference. So, I was wondering if you feel any differently.”

“Like what?”

Nazar bit his lip in confusion.

“I don’t know. Anything different? Like do you have missing memories or do you get nightmares? Anything at all?”

“Hmm… not really.”

“Okay. Good,” Nazar said as he stood up. “I will be back later to talk about it. Contact me if anything changes.”

With a puzzled expression, Aria asked, “How am I going to contact you?”

“I don’t know… You can shout?” Nazar frowned. “Don’t worry, I will be back tomorrow and until then I will find a way you can use to contact me.”

He was about to leave, but he looked back. He did not look back towards Aria but towards his aunt.

As he looked, the anger in her eyes was removed with a little surprise, which startled her.

“Did I have any siblings?” Nazar asked.

His aunt and her husband did not say anything. Nazar does not really want to read the thoughts of others anymore. It makes him see a lot of unnecessary stuff. And also, because he wants his answer in a more peaceful way.

“...You had a brother,” his aunt said after a while.

Upon hearing that Nazar’s eyes widened and his lips opened. But then he noticed something.

“...Had?”

“He died a few days after you were born...”

Nazar sat back down on the sofa.

“How?”

“We don’t really know, but he died because your parents experimented on him,” his aunt started to speak. “They thought they could give him superpowers, but it did not work. However, after a while, you showed extraordinary abilities and then they took you to the lab. After that, we never saw you, except for a few pictures of yours.”

“How did they know I had powers?”

“I don’t really know… but I think you lifted something very heavy which made them suspicious and took you to the lab.” She paused. “Also, your mother bragged how you would never forget something, so why do you not know these things?”

Nazar chuckled. “I removed all memories that involved my family members. I made them go away forever. No will ever be able to find. Even me.”

At that moment, they were not really sure what he was saying. But they did understand.

Nazar then looked at Aria who was sitting next to him. For some reason, she is always really happy to see him. Even when she had powers, she was always happy when she saw him, even she did not show it on her face. Nazar knew this because he can ‘see’ emotions.

“Why are you always so happy?”

“What there to not be happy about?” Aria said. “You are not as bad as I thought you would be. I am alive. And… I don’t know.”

“I don’t get you. Why did you really want to kill me?”

Aria’s smile vanished and she did not say anything for a while.

“At first, I wanted to get revenge for what you have done… but when I found out what kind of life you had. The kind where it was not much better than ours. The kind where you were always alone. The kind where you don’t care about anyone.” She paused. “I just wanted you to know what it's like to lose a family member, even if you don’t really know them. I wanted you to know how important other people in life are.”

“I was not expecting to be revived, but deep down, I wanted you to save me and yourself. Save yourself from this lonely life you have.” Aria added. “I did not know what my death will mean to you, but I had a feeling that you would be guilty if you killed me. I am not sure myself why I believed in you so much, but I am glad I did.”

“I… still don’t understand. You threatened the whole reality to...”

“I knew you would find a way to save everyone. You just needed a push. You care more about the people, the world than you think you do. You are trying to keep it hidden down, but you do care about them. So, I knew you would save them all.”

“I don’t care about them.”

“If you did not care, then why did you have to fight against the zombie-like creatures that attacked Earth a few days? You could have just sat in your room and did nothing, but you saved the whole world. If you did not care, then what was that? When you returned everyone’s memories, we all saw what you had done. You came down and saved so many people. Saving people from a train that is about to crash. Saving people from car crashes. Saving people from a burning building.” Aria paused. “If you didn’t care, why save them?”

Nazar did not have an answer.

“If you did not care, why did you let the superhumans live when you could have killed the very instant you saw them?” Aria continued. “If you did not care, why did you reduce your damage on Monday? You could have easily annihilated all of them. So, why did you not?”

Nazar again did not have an answer.

“It is because you care about all of them, even if you don’t show it.” Aria added. “Even yesterday, for most parts, I just wanted to see you suffer and add more powers so you can suffer even further after my death, but then I realised something. You just needed a push to appreciate your own life. You just needed to understand that there are people for you. That there are people who love you. If you cannot live for yourself, then live for someone else.”

Nazar and her parents just kept looking blankly at her. Her mother and father did not know what she was talking about.

“What did you think about the happy world I created for you? Even if it was for a few seconds, I knew that this is the kind of world you would have had if you did not run away from everyone. This could have been your life if you did not push them away.” Aria paused and smiled. “So, did you like it?”

Nazar said, “I… didn’t hate it.”

Aria looked at him while smiling.

“Do you know what made me so happy yesterday?”

“Your revival?”

“No. I was so happy yesterday when you said you came to take me. It made me so happy, but I did not show it on my face. I also felt a little angry towards you, but more than that, I was happy.”

Her smiled vanished.

“Do you know, I did not want to take it to the next phase, but when you found me, it kind of slipped,” Aria said. “I did not want to destroy everything. I did not know what was going to happen. So, sorry about that.”

Nazar smiled and said, “Well, it was good that I knew an angel.”

As he said that, Aria laughed.

“How can you say that with a straight face? It’s so corny.”

“No, she really is an angel,” Nazar said immediately in an annoyed tone. “Like an angel from heavens... Yeah. Saying it out loud does make it sound corny.”

Nazar was looking down but suddenly raised his head.

“Shit,” Nazar muttered. “No. I could do that myself...”

“Done what?” Aria asked with a puzzled expression.

“I could have used a power called ‘Reality Restoration’ myself,” Nazar said. “If I had done that, Aarin would have still owed me a debt.”

There was silence for a few minutes.

“Wait, you can get any power you want, right?” Aria asked after a while.

“Yes, and I can choose its circumstances too. Why?”

Aria went into deep thought.

“Yesterday when you talked about having powers you did not want like you said that you cannot remove Absolute Reincarnation and Absolutely Immortality. I think I have an idea of how to help you.”

Nazar with a surprised look on his face asked: “How?”

“You said you can change the circumstances, right?” Aria spoke. “What if you change the circumstances of your Absolute Reincarnation to something like ‘only revive if I die from a bullet’, or something like that?”

Nazar had never thought about it before. Could it really work?

“Okay, I will give it a try,” Nazar said as he closed his eyes.

(Absolute Reincarnation: Only use if I die by the hands of an angel.) Nazar thought.

Has anything changed?

(But I cannot die with my Absolute Immortality anyway. Even if I die, I will be back in less than a second.)

“Did you do it?” Aria asked.

“Yes, but even without this power, my Absolute Immortality will not allow me to die.”

“Can you not change the circumstances of that?” Aria paused. “Like lower it down to just immortality?”

“Hmm… I don’t know,” Nazar said with a confused expression. “I could try and changing its circumstances.”

(Absolute Immortality: Only on the moon.)

“I really hope this works...” Nazar muttered.

“So, if you die this time, you might never revive?”

“In theory.”

“So, are you going to kill yourself now?” Aria asked.

“Yes,” Nazar replied with a smile.

Aria was not really surprised by that answer.

“How about you do it later rather than now?”

Nazar did not answer, instead, he just vanished into thin air.

He went back into his base on the moon. A place where he now shares it with the rest of superhumans. However, no one is here, except for someone he did not think he would see again. Aarin.

“I thought a lot about it since yesterday,” Aarin said as soon as Nazar appeared in the base. “I am sorry for returning your powers, but I didn't do it so I can become an angel again. If it wasn’t for you, the Earth would have been turned into hell. I would rather...”

She did not get to finish what she was saying.

“It’s okay,” Nazar said as he looked at her and smiled. “What’s in the past should be left in the past, right?”

Aarin found herself dumbfound. He was so angry yesterday, but now he was much different.

“I can now die. So, I would rather we did not think about the bad times.”

“What…?”

“You were right,” Nazar said. “You were right about Aria saving me. If it wasn’t for her, I don’t think I would have tried this. It is thanks to her that I can die now.”

“Are you really sure that is what you want to do now?”

“Yes,” Nazar replied immediately. “I have had a lot of time to think this through. I came to this conclusion years ago, but when I got back my powers, I wanted to taste the glory of it. But now… now it is nothing but a curse.”

“Are you really sure about that? Do you really think this power is a curse? If you think it is a curse, ask the billions of people you have saved. Ask your cousin. Ask your sister. Ask your friend.” Aarin paused. “If you think it is a curse, just ask them. If it wasn’t for your powers, they would have been dead now, or even worse.”

Nazar did not really pay attention to what she was saying.

“I know it’s not my place to say this, but do you really want to leave this world behind. A world that is on the verge of destruction. Do you really want to leave the people you care about in this world?”

“What do you want me to do?”

“Nothing,” Aarin said. “Just stay a little longer. Not for yourself, but those around you. Those who care about you.”

Nazar sighed and went into his control room. From here he can enter a digital world. A world which is created by humans. He can go there and forget about his life.

Many superhumans left the base on the moon. They were free now to do whatever they wanted.

001 went back to his family in London. Emily was there and so was his parents. He had all his family back.

002 went to his family in New York.

And most of the others went back to their family. Nazar had embedded information in their minds about where they can find their parents.

Some found out that a lot has happened since they have left. Some had lost their parents. Others lost their siblings. Others lost their friends. While some have all their family members.

No matter the circumstances, by the end of the day, they had found their way to their home again and reunited with their loved ones.

Laura also left and spent the day with her brother.

Aarin left and went back into the heavens. She did not want to cause more problems for Nazar. And she went and started looking for an angel who might help Nazar. Someone who might be able to reduce his powers forever.

Emma was at her home, thinking about what happened yesterday. She was watching the video from yesterday. She has seen this video many times. This video was released online and it features Nazar and another woman she has seen a few times. They are talking about something. She can hear some of them, but most of the time, they talking slowly, so she cannot make it out. However, from what she had heard, Nazar wanted to die. She had heard him talk about death. Something about suffering and she was very hurt by it. Yesterday, she thought he brother was finally back and she was so happy, but seeing this now, she is sad. She does not know what to do.

Jabalot Empire:

The ruler of Jabalot Empire, Iget ordered the Death 100, which includes himself to prepare themselves for coming battle. According to the reports from Vanaha Empire, their target, the human boy whose name is Nazar, should be unkillable. So, they are doing everything they can to gather all kind of weapons they might need and some are working on training.

“,” Professor Death declared.

“” Brawn said. He sounded surprised.

“,” Reaper said.

“,” Rewind said.

“,” Darkness said. “”

“,” Rewind started to brag about his abilities. “”

Darkness slowly clapped and said in a mocking tone, “”

Professor Death laughed. And so did Graviti and a few others.

“,” Professor Death said as he laughed.

The others laughed after him, but Darkness was a little angry. Reaper, as usual, he did not care about these things. He doesn’t really show any emotions or expressions on his face.

As the chatter went and went on, Iget walked into the room.

“,” he said as he walked into the room. “”

After a while, they were all finished with what they had to do and they all vanished into thin air.

They were now on Earth.

About 100 aliens showed up. Some of them even have the power to destroy the whole planet with a punch. But they cannot destroy Earth as it is not part of the mission. In fact, their very mission is to save Earth.

As soon as they arrived, they found themselves in the middle of an empty city. They found themselves in the middle for New York. Most people were in their homes and the streets were empty.

As soon as they got here, they used a magical spell that makes them look like humans. Someone like Darkness and Reaper did not need it, but the others needed it.

“” Iget asked.

Hurricane’s eyes lit up with white energy. Her whole body looked like it was about to unleash the most powerful thunder. Lightning was surrounding her. She turned the sunny weather of New York to rainy for just a split second.

“” She replied calmly.

“” Iget then looked at Bloodlust who was standing next to Professor Death.

Bloodlust did not say another word. Iget knew that human technology was much behind the technology of Vanaha and other Empires, but for someone like Bloodlust even Vanaha tech was pretty easy to control.

“,” Bloodlust spoke. “”

“”

“” She paused. “”

“”

“”

“”

As Iget laid out the plan, everyone went to the respective spots. They went to where they were told but still stayed close.
