Arc 24 - Aftermath

Nazar just floated in the middle of the city of London. Above the River Thames, a river that had no water in it, at the moment.

Nazar was smiling with his eyes closed.

“Now, what should I do about Aria?” Nazar muttered. “Should resurrect her, or should leave her dead?”

Nazar moved his mouth but no one heard that.

Nazar finally opened his eyes and looked around. He looked around and saw the destruction that careless angel had done to the place.

The river had a massive crater in it. The bridge was destroyed. Close-by boats were destroyed. The footpaths were destroyed. The wall that surrounded the river and kept people safe was destroyed. The river did not have water in it.

Nazar merely waved his hand and the ruins of the bridge recreated itself. He manipulated the atoms and recreated it.

He looked to his left side and saw the nearby path was destroyed. The wall between the river and the people. He moved his hand again and then the safety wall and the footpath was fixed again.

A close-by business that was damaged, was fixed too.

He then fixed the boats.

He left the crater in the river. It was not a big problem.

He then looked at how to bring the water back. He looked further and further. Until he finally found that the water was cut from the source. So, he just used his telekinesis and let the water flow in the river once again.

He did all of that in less than 5 seconds.

He then moved and sat on a bench that was close-by. He sat there and looked down. He started to think.

(Resurrection.) Nazar thought. (A power that allows me to bring people from the dead. Should I use it on Aria or not? Should I steal her happiness just so I don’t feel guilty? Should I…?)

“Save me.” “...she did not have to die...” “Sometimes death is the only salvation.”

These things kept repeating itself in his head. Over and over again.

He just had enough of thinking. He did not come to any conclusion. So, in frustration, he punched the ground beneath him made a massive crater that sent shockwaves to near areas.

He fixed back, but he did damage the place slightly.

He was angry, but then he heard a voice nearby. An unfamiliar voice. A voice of a child.

“Hey, mister,” said the little girl who was holding Nazar’s sleeve.

Nazar looked down to his right side and saw a little girl. She looked about the age of 5. She had shoulder length red hair and brown eyes. It reminded him of certain someone else that he saw not long ago.

“Wh...” Nazar was going to ask him ‘What?’ in his normal tone, but he decided to smile. With a smile on his face, he said, “What is it?”

(Why… why do I feel sad about her death? Did she really want to die? Or was it just to make me feel like shit?)

An older woman came through and reached the little girl.

“I-I am so sorry,” said the woman repeatedly as she tried pulled the girl away from Nazar, but the girl did not move. She looked like she was the girl’s mother.

Nazar decided to look up at the woman who was trying pull the little girl away.

“It’s okay,” Nazar said as he prepared to leave the place.

Less than a second later, he vanished into thin air.

People around the area felt a little relieved as he was gone.

Nor far away, Nazar floated above the city. He looked down on the city that had a few destroyed buildings and other properties.

(So, what should I do about Aria?)

After thinking about it for a while, he decided that he just need to ask this question from someone else.

He teleported to a place where he went earlier. His aunt’s house.

When he teleported there, he saw that they still had not moved the body and were crying.

As he reappeared, they both looked at him with bloodlust eyes.

“WHY ARE YOU HERE, YOU MURDERER?” His aunt shouted.

Nazar did not pay attention to any of that.

“Would you sacrifice your daughter’s happiness for your own?”

They had no idea what was going on now.

“...”

“You daughter wanted to die, so I killed her. When she died, she was smiling. Do you want to sacrifice her happiness for your own?” Nazar asked without showing any emotions or expressions. He has had enough of acting like he actually felt any emotions beside happiness and anger.

“Wh-what are you saying?” Aria’s father asked.

“I can bring her back from the dead. Do you want me to do that?” Nazar asked in a calm tone.

Both his aunt and her husband were surprised to hear that. If they heard this in a different time, they would have laughed at him for saying something like this. However, they were surprised to hear that.

His aunt and her husband exchanged looks and then one of them spoke. This was unbelievable to them, but they have seen their fair share of abnormal stuff.

His aunt spoke. “Yes, do it.”

“Are you sure?”

“...Yes,” Aria’s father responded after looking at his daughter.

Nazar got closer to her. While getting close to the dead body of a little girl, an energy ball appeared in his right palm.

The energy ball was as big as a tennis ball. As it reached it size, he let go of the energy ball and it immediately went to the dead body of Aria.

Once the light touched her, it was devoured into her.

1 second passed and nothing happened.

2 seconds passed and nothing happened.

“...You...” His aunt wanted to say something but stopped.

3 seconds passed and Aria just jumped.

She was lying down on the sofa, but now she was sitting down. She was breathing heavily.

Nazar created another energy ball. This time it was a different colour. It was a ball made of green energy. As the ball reached the size of a tennis ball, he merely let it go and it surrounded Aria.

“The healing energy ball will heal any damages you had taken.” Nazar said without showing any emotions or expressions, but this time he squat on the ground as a resting position. “Don’t worry. The heavy breathing is normal when someone comes back from the dead.”

As Nazar said, she noticed Nazar standing next to the sofa.

Aria jumped quickly and hugged him. She surrounded her arms around and him and said, “Took you long enough.”

If she hugged a normal person while squatting, they would have fell over, but Nazar has too much control over his body. He did not even flinch.

Nazar was confused right now.

“What…?”

“I knew you wouldn’t just let me die. I knew you would bring me back.”

“What if I hadn’t?”

“I had faith in you,” Aria said as she hugged Nazar. “When I asked you to save me, it was not for me to die and you knew it. I took the gamble because I knew you would not let me die. And because I knew you had the power to do so.”

Nazar just smirked.

“I don't understand you. You try to kill me. Then wants to die. Then when you die, you wanted me to resurrect you,” Nazar said as he tried to get up. "Anyway, we will talk about your messed up personality later. I need to go somewhere now. So, can you let go of me now?"

“Huh? Where?” As she let go of Nazar.

As Nazar stood up, he said, “I will be back tomorrow to talk about what happened today.”

“Before you go, I want you promise me something,” Aria said. But she did not say anything after that. Her parents were confused, but Nazar knew what she was thinking.

(Go fix the world. For real, this time. Please?) That was Aria’s thought.

Nazar started to teleport out, but before he vanished, he smiled at Aria. It was a not a forced smile. It was not a smirk or a grin he glued onto his face. It was a genuine smile.

Nazar sighed and then smiled. “Fine. I will fix what you destroyed."

And just like that, Nazar vanished into thin air.

Aria was smiling and both of her parents were confused to the point where they could not move or even speak.

Nazar teleported to a place which did not exist a few hours ago. The headquarters of Internal Order.

Nazar teleported to the highest level on the HQ, which IO’s boss’ office was.

He appeared out of nowhere and startled the head of IO.

“Get the hell off my planet,” Nazar said as soon as he appeared in that office.

“Wh-what are you talking about?” The boss of IO spoke nervously, who was sitting behind his desk.

Nazar walked closer to him and held him up by his throat.

”Tell your superiors that Earth is off limits,” Nazar said.

As the boss of IO struggled to speak, he said, “Wh-what… are you… talking about?”

Nazar did not like the answer. He slammed the man on the floor.

“” This time Nazar spoke in Dulian, the official language of Duluria Empire.

Nazar held him high up again. This time by his collar.

“”

The boss of IO tried to play dumb, but it is too late.

“” Nazar said as he threw the man across the room.

His opponent did not say anything.

He slowly stood up and his appearance changed.

This man’s skin was silver. His skin was rough. It had markings on it. It looked it was carved into his body. There were small bones coming out of his skins. It did not seem to bother him. His eyes were much bigger than a human. The sclera of the eye was non-existent. Both of his eyes were pitch black. There were no hair on any part of his body.

“” Eort spoke in Dulurian.

Nazar smiled and said, “” Nazar paused. “”

Nazar was about to send him away, but he remembered something.

“” Nazar spoke in a confident tone. “”

Before the alien life form could say another thing, Nazar twitched his fingers and the person was sent flying through space.

He went from the centre of the Earth to the spaceship which was now just a little away from the moon.

Eort landed in a Dulurian spaceship. He was confused as to what just happened.

Upon his arrival, the ship had a breach. The air should be sucking everyone into the void of the space, but instead, nothing happened. Because the ship repaired itself within a second.

Back on Earth, Nazar waved his fingers and a woman appeared before him. It was Laura. Laura Marino.

“What…?” She asked in confusion.

“I have a proposal for you,” Nazar said with a smile.

Vanaha Empire - Xiem

The throne room of the divine being who rules of over the Vanaha Empire.

The divine being sits on a throne. He is awaiting the results from their operation on Earth.

(Earth...) Iket Xehz thought. (The boy...)

His thoughts were cut off because his assistant and bodyguard entered the room using teleportation. He has many bodyguards, but this one in particular acts as his assistant and advisor.

As soon as he appeared from thin air, he bend down and knelt before his king.

“,” the divine ruler said.

As he said that, the person stood up. He stood straight up and placed his right hand, which was clenched on his left chest.

“” the man spoke calmly.

“”

“” the man said nervously.

“,” Iket said.

The man before the king is his son. He has been his bodyguard and assistant since he was very young.

“” Kiet took a deep breath and started speaking. “” Kiet paused. “”

“” Iket said very slowly.

After he said that, he noticed something. His eyes widened with surprised and his lips opened.

“” the divine king muttered.

After a long silence, the king finally spoke.

“” The king stood up. “” The king declared.

The king started to walk away from his throne.

He then looked back to his son and said, “”

His son and everyone around them were surprised to hear that and started trembling. But the king did not care about their surprised and scared look.

As the king ordered, his son, Kiet vanished into thin air.
